Drop the Mike Productions are party-starting, hype-men and women get on the floor everybody (yeah, even Grams!) or “club style” DJs. We offer you the expertise of over 15 years of DJing. You are choosing a “Land Rover” entertainment group versus a “Kia” one! We want you and your guests to party your a$$es off, bump and grind, one-step two-step, and electric slide the night away. We will dance with your guests, and interact with everyone. We’re going to talk on the mic to get the crowd going. MC for your reception, add to the atmosphere of you celebrating your love and the start of your married life all the while providing the utmost professional DJ entertainment. If you do not want your wedding to be the event that everyone will talk about for years to come or you don’t want to “party-party,” then we are probably not the team for you.
Drop The Mike Productions is a wedding DJ company based in North Charleston, South Carolina. In 1999, the owner, DJ Miketech, began his career DJing at one of Charleston’s legacy radio stations. Now, the award-winning DJ rocks dance floors across the southeast region. DJ Miketech will bring the party to your special day and keep you and your guests dancing all night long.
Services Offered
At Drop The Mike Productions will play the latest and greatest hits from almost every music genre you can think of on your wedding day. Before your special day, DJ Miketech will sit down with you during a consultation session and create a customizable playlist that will fit your entertainment needs. If you do not want to hear a particular song or artist, DJ Miketech will add it to his do-not-play-list. DJ Miketech will also act as the Master of Ceremonies during your wedding reception. He will give you access to a DJ app where you and your partner can list all of your songs for the day from ceremony to cocktail hour to reception. The song files are easily synced with Spotify, Apple Music, and YouTube. My best recommendation is to allow him to have creative freedom as well. He reads the crowd well and will not allow your wedding to be boring at all! He will play those crowd pleaser songs but he's not afraid to bring out the club party music either which IMO is the absolute BEST!

He is super organized and gives you an app to use to request music and sort them into categories (prelude, recessional, cocktail hour, dancing, sparkler exit, etc.) super sweet and responsive. We planned a destination wedding (as we live in NYC) and he made the process super easy. We were able to fly in to meet him in person 2 months before and he was so accommodating and confident, driving out of his way just to meet us and walk the venue with us. He nailed every detail during the night too ...ceremony music, introducing us as a couple, organizing toasts, etc. and... IT WAS A PARTY! It wasn’t letting a song finish and the next one starts by pushing a button ...he is an actual dj mixing music, beats fading into the next song. It was fire and a night we will never forget! And then he PUMPED IT UP and had everyone dancing! I think the only time I stopped dancing that night was when I was so exhausted there was fear of me passing out.
