I was hosting a luau for about 150 people so I contacted them to do the bar, entertainment and roasted pig. 4 days before my event I needed to change the number from 150 to 225 so I emailed and called Chief Tama. I never heard back so I called and left messages every day up until about 3 hours before my event. They never returned my calls or emails. When they arrived they said they had it covered. I said a simple email, text or phone call confirming the change would have been appreciated. Then Alisha (Chief Tama's daughter) said she was there instead of Chief Tama because he was out of town doing another event. She was not prepared to be responsible for the event. She left almost immediately after arriving to go get supplies for the bar!!! My guests arrived and they were not prepared to serve yet. It took my guests about 40 minutes in line to get a drink. The contract I signed with DOTP said Blue Hawaiian drinks would be served. They did not have the needed items to make this drink. The guy that was bringing the roasted pig arrived an hour late and he had NOTHING but the pig. He did not bring a table, tablecover, knife (to carve the pig), plates, gloves, etc. He literally ONLY brought the pig. The dancers did a fair job but the music was not working properly so their performance was very choppy. I paid extra for a fire/knife show but the guy only brought fire. Overall, I am extremely dissappointed with Drums of the Pacific. I felt I paid premium prices for a budget company. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY AT ALL. Don't waste your money!
