About this vendor
DScott Designs is a company in Portsmouth, RI, specializing in personalized favors, decor, and gifts for a memorable wedding. The team hand collects large ocean clam shells in an environmentally-friendly method. Their shells are then thoroughly sanitized and undergo a nine-step design process.
Their shells range from 3-5 inches long, and each has unique attributes, making it a special ocean treasure. The finished product is painted and touched with a high-quality shine for long-lasting protection. Each gift can contain personal messages and pictures to symbolize your gratitude and cherished bond for your nearest and dearest.
At DScott Designs, there are beautiful creations to choose from, including shell dishes and hanging ornaments. Your arrangement of shell favors will create unique beach-inspired decor and can also be used to display seating arrangement cards. These lovely keepsakes can later be used by your guests for jewelry, candy, and other small items. You can customize a photograph from the artist's collection or one of your own to make these fully personalized presents. Printed messages and hand-inscribed wording can also be placed onto the pieces.
As of March 2024, DScott Designs is adding a new line of scallop shells! Please see photos and pricing sheet for details. These are fully customizable and can also be used for place settings.

ully created shell ring dishes with incredible attention to detail. Our guests absolutely LOVED them!! From our first conversation, she was keen on creating something that was special and meaningful to us as a couple. She worked closely with me to choose the photographs and settings and was in constant communication with me throughout the entire process. She was able to create these incredible shells in just a matter of weeks with impeccable artistry. She made every step of the process easy and fun. The shells arrived beautifully presented in a silver tray and were laid out for our 60 guests to take home. I’ve been using mine to keep my engagement ring in by my bedside at night and it makes me so happy. Donna is the loveliest person and her dedication and love for her art is easy to see. The shells she crafted were beautiful, heartfelt, and more than I ever could have imagined. If you’re looking for shells for party favors, thank you gifts, table settings, etc. Donna is THE girl to call.
