issues and was not able to make it to our wedding last minute (totally understandable). I was informed the night before the wedding, which was already really stressful, but the company told me they would send Marty, the owner, in Devon’s place. They made sure to tell me that they would do me the favor of not charging me Marty’s rate, which was double what Devon would have charged…. Which is crazy to me because why would that even be a thought, that we would be charged more for something out of our control? Fast forward to the next day – wedding day, and everything was going really well until reception. I almost got the vibe that because Marty knew he wasn’t going to make what he normally collects, he just didn’t care as much about our night, almost like he was too good for this. He was not very personal and didn’t take the time to even get to know us one bit. I’ve been in a few weddings and usually the DJ has more personality to them, typically you want someone lively to be able to start the party… As the dance floor opened, Marty approached me and asked if they could play off of my playlist, the one that me and all my bridesmaids spent hours curating. I was so preoccupied with everything else that I just said yes, and he proceeded to play songs that not many people enjoyed and it kind of killed the vibe. It really sucks because typically the dance floor should be lively and full, granted it was hot out so I know that could also have been something to do with it. Although, I had many people come up to me after the fact and tell me that the DJ experience was lacking. I’m just so disappointed in the experience, and I just know Devon would have killed it that night instead! Again, overall, I just got the vibe that Marty thought he was too good for the night.

I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a great DJ! 5 stars for sure! DJ Marty Mcfly was an absolute pleasure to experience! He had the perfect mix of energy and charm that kept the dance floor moving all night. He played a great variety of music, from old-school classics to the latest hits, and knew exactly how to get the crowd going. His transitions were seamless, and his energy was contagious. He was also very personable and took the time to chat with guests and make sure everyone was having a good time. We would highly recommend DSM Dance Party DJ's for any event!

derful social media presence, but my experience was anything but good. Marty was contracted to be at my wedding by 2 pm Sat., 12/2/23. At 3:20 pm, 40 MINUTES before my ceremony was scheduled to start, we realized he was not there. We called him and he stated he had a “flat tire” but had a “team” on their way. He also said he had called my venue and explained the situation to them, which was a complete lie. After we talked to him and realized we wouldn’t have his services during the ceremony, the venue was able to contact him to get the songs for the ceremony and they had a mic and speakers we were able to use. The “team” arrived at 3:55 pm, or 5 MINUTES before my ceremony. They had to wait until the ceremony was over before they could start setting up and ended up setting up during cocktail hour. Marty was supposed to play a list of songs I had provided for cocktail hour, but he was the only one with the list. Instead of enjoying cocktail hour and talking to guests, we had to consider what to do if Marty didn’t show up at all because his “team” had no idea why he still had not arrived. Marty still wasn’t there by 5:30 pm and the food was ready to be served, so we asked the “team” to handle the grand entrance so we could then start dismissing tables for dinner. It was at that point we discovered the “team” he sent DID NOT INCLUDE A DJ and they were only there to setup/tear down. We again started to panic because they refused to announce the bridal party so we started searching for someone in the crowd to announce. Thankfully a “team” member agreed to announce. It wasn’t perfect but we had 250+ people waiting to eat. Marty finally arrived around 6:45 pm (over 4 hours late!) and then there was an issue with the speakers so we had another delay before we could start speeches and first dances. Despite all of this, I still held out hope that Marty would “make it right” as he kept repeating. He informed the venue he intended to issue a full refund. When he didn’t contact us Monday morning, my mom called, texted and emailed. He finally responded and called my mom and was completely unprofessional, unaware and oblivious to any stress he caused us, and said he provided services pursuant to industry standards because he’s “the best DJ in the state.” Instead of trying to make things right, he told my mom “sometimes things don’t go as planned” but he could see that everyone had a great time, so he was confident he delivered his agreed upon services. I’m disappointed and honestly disgusted in the way that my family and I were treated on MY WEDDING DAY. I work in customer service and understand that some things are just out of our control, but this was ridiculous. Marty had an opportunity to change this around and rectify what happened, but he simply chose not to. The only reason my wedding day wasn’t a complete disaster was because of my venue and photographer, (both who are able to back up everything I’m saying). Please, do yourself a favor and look elsewhere.

We had several guests ask for his business card during the wedding and are interested in his services out of state. 11/10 recommend having Riley as your DJ, you won’t regret it!

I really appreciated that they conducted their business online so the timelines, portals and meetings were always easy to work with (we were planning our wedding from Chicago). like a club experience. We came across DSM Dance Party DJ's when starting our initial wedding vendor hunt. Once we met with Marty, we knew we had found our DJ vendor. Marty made the whole process extremely easy and it was centered towards what we wanted. I LOVE music, so this part of the wedding planning process was very important to me. As we neared our wedding date, we had the opportunity to meet and work with Riley Schneekloth. And WOW. I cannot recommend Riley enough. Riley made sure we felt at peace, our guests were engaged, and everyone could have the time of their lives. If you want a DJ that makes your wedding reception feel like a club, Riley is your guy. I have had so many guests reach out to me complimenting how amazing he was and how much fun they had. I wish we were getting married again, just so we could hire Riley. I can't recommend this DJ company enough. 10/10 would recommend!

ur experience so fun. We met with Riley virtually a couple of times before our big day to get everything planned out and he had so many great ideas and was able to accommodate everything we wanted! We also had a photo booth in our package which was really fun! The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because they misspelled our last name on the photobooth strips.

o far. Riley was able to improve the atmosphere with his DJ experience and witty personality. His clever jokes before the ceremony really took the edge off on a nerve wrecking day. The Photo Booth by DSM Dance was a big hit on our wedding day.

Marty was AMAZING, super detail oriented, and ensured that everything was perfect and exactly how we wanted it. We got so many compliments and everyone loved it! They are also extremely easy to work with and make the process super simple and stress free! 12/10 recommend hiring them for your next event!

at find and we could not be happier with our experience! While DJ Marty was not able to actually attend our wedding, he coordinated all of the details for our day. I received a response to every e-mail within hours. We had multiple meetings to determine the music for our ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception. Marty and his team were so flexible with the multiple changes we made to our wedding, including the date. They created a schedule for the entire event, complete with music choices and timing for each segment. Antonio was the DJ for our actual wedding and he was phenomenal. He was incredibly kind and so respectful of our guests and venue. We left a great deal of the music as the DJ’s choice and he perfectly captured the mood that we were hoping for. His transitions between events throughout the evening were perfect and he was a great emcee – cheerful, pleasant, and excited. The owner of our venue made a point to let us know how great of an experience that she had working with Antonio. After breaking down his equipment, Antonio offered to help the venue clean up after the wedding. DSM Dance Party DJs could not have been a more perfect choice. I plan to recommend them to everyone I know!
