As a professional wedding planner/coordinator myself, I knew Dave was going to be our DJ without a doubt when it was my turn to get married!
I've worked with many DJ's over the yea...
rs and Dave and his company DTR Productions consistently delivered with so many different & diverse mutual clients, and in so many creative ways, the mark of someone who has both integrity & passion in his profession coupled with many years of experience.
A Class "A" performer who puts the Bride & Groom way above anything & everything else so they shine on thier big day. Dave also doesn't draw any unnecessary attention to himself, as I've unfortunately seen in some other DJ's I worked with over the years.
When it came time for our planning process Dave as a full time operator, was always there for me and my husband to answer any questions, no matter how small or trivial, which put us at ease. He also created a custom mix mashup for my husband & his mom to dance to, which was flawless!
The wedding party introductions are always handled with ease and excitement, but when it comes to the music and the party - the main reason we hired him - he blew the roof of the venue! Nobody I've ever heard in my own wedding planning career hits all the marks quite like Dave, but this happens only after a more quiet & reserved music set for dinner time, so our guests could talk and hear each other, which is much appreciated by everyone.
Dave did for us everything a wedding DJ should do! We recommend Dave all the way and then some!
Talented, personable, fun as hell DJ
Dave did the music for my ceremony and reception and it was so much fun! We didn't feel strongly about much at all but he was able to create the right mood for our event. He was al...
so great about pacing the event and played the best music during the reception. I did Not stop dancing and most of the credit goes to him. He was very accommodating and picked up a generator for us when we found out the power supply at our ceremony venue was busted and we needed one!
DTR Entertainment is the best! Dave worked our wedding, cocktail hour, and reception on August 1, 2015. Friendliest entertainment group ever! Played all our requests, and I have ne...
ver seen a wedding where so many people were on the dance floor. They're the ones to go with!
Dave and DTR entertainment absolutely rocked our wedding! We had an entertainment package that included Dave as the MC, an additional DJ for when Dave was out in the crowd, a live ...
percussionist, and three string musicians during the ceremony. Dave also provided a boom mic/PA for the ceremony and an independent audio setup for background music during the cocktail hour.
All in all, Dave and his crew did a stellar job on our wedding day. Looking back, music, sound and entertainment were factors which we did not have to even worry about once on the day of the wedding. Despite some unexpected weather (was calling for mid-50s for outdoor ceremony which ended up being mid-40s and FLURRIES OF SNOW with a little wind!) Dave and the guys were dynamic and easily rolled with the punches. Again, not a single concern all day with the sound/entertainment so we could focus on other details.
Dave clearly has a ton of DJ/MC and party-throwing experience and it shows. Despite this, our wedding didn’t feel like just another event that he was throwing. They really poured themselves into our celebration. Every moment of the day was customizable and it came out exactly as we wanted it. The music and entertainment were the #2 most commented on compliments of our wedding (the #1 understandably being how beautiful my wife and her dress were!)
We would highly recommend Dave and DTR for your wedding. One thing that is to be expected, is that Dave is very busy on weekends so is typically unavailable to talk except for during the week. This was understandable, since he is doing events every weekend and does not interrupt any client’s event for other work or business-related matters. Just understand that going in. However I must say that if he was readily available on weekends when parties are happening most frequently, I would have been a little concerned…. It would be like trusting a vegetarian butcher!
Again we can’t say enough great things about Dave and his crew. They were on point for our entire event. My wife and I recommend them highly!
We had seen Dave and his team at our friend's wedding back in 2011 and we had a blast! Dave and his crew did an AMAZING job on our wedding day!! He spins HOT FIRE!! Everyone was on...
the dance floor from the time our bridal party was introduced until the very end. Our family and friends were nonstop talking about how much fun our wedding was and how much they danced. We loved how Dave made everyone stood up and surrounded us as we did our first dance. It was absolutely PERFECT! The uplighting on our reception was BEAUTIFUL. It matched our theme and it complimented our centerpieces. It was GORGEOUS! Our wedding reception looked very ELEGANT. Dave was also very accommodating to every music requests we made everytime and he played all of them on our wedding. Thank you Dave for making our wedding unforgettable!! We will book him again for any future events. We highly suggest and recommend DTR Entertainment!!!
DTR was recommended to us by the maitre d' at our venue.
Our original DJ had to cancel because of a health emergency, however, DTR provided DJ Mike Kazis and an MC Rob as repla...
cements. They were consummate professionals and only needed some basic information from us before taking over. The dance floor was packed the whole night -- several guests commented that if I hadn't told them of the unexpected switch, they never would have known the difference.
DTR was comfortable playing some ethnic music that we provided, and did a few group dances that guests requested.
This vendor's preference for communication is via email, which has its accompanying pros (convenient for both us, able to transfer files easily) and cons (sometimes not efficient, especially when timely responses were required).
Overall, I was very happy with our choice!
Dave was amazing from the start! Everything from his communication and keeping us involved in every step and decision to keeping the dance floor alive. Dave and his team were top n...
otch! There are not too many words I can use except that I was blown away by the experience. If my family ever has an occasion where we need a DJ there will be no need to go anywhere other than DTR. Dave loves his job and you can tell that there is a true passion behind what he does.
Dave was awesome! He listened to exactly what we wanted our wedding to be like. He played music that got everyone on the dance floor and kept them there! Everyone said it was one ...
of the most fun weddings they have ever been to and that was definitely because of the music!
Dave and team had our wedding guests on their feet from the first song of the night to the last! He truly knows how to throw a party and read the crowd. We got so many compliments ...
on how much fun our wedding was and we can thank Dave and DTR for that! Everyone also loved the photo booth, especially my 90 year old grandma! My husband and I highly recommend Dave and team for a wedding experience that we and our guests will never forget!
We had DJ Dave for our wedding on 9/30/12 and he was great! When we first met Dave, he took the time to get to know us and really listen to what we wanted. He offered suggestions a...
nd was patient (with a nervous bride!) He played music for all generations and the dance floor was packed all night. Dave brought "dancer" Josh and he really got our crowd going, he was great! Our guests keep raving about how much fun they had and how great the music was. Our wedding was the best day of our lives and most of it is due to the great work of DJ Dave. We would recommend him to anyone!
DJ Dave was amazing! He worked with our budget and everyone was dancing until the very last song. I would recommend DTR Entertainment for any occassion!
Dave and his team did an amazing job on the night of our wedding. I got so many compliments about our DJ and the music he played from our friends and family. He kept people (incl...
uding myself) on the dance floor all night long. He was very easy to work with throughout the wedding planning process as well. Dave is very responsive and wants to make sure he meets all of your needs. He is very fun and easy to work with. I'd definitely recommend DTR.
We used Dave of DTR entertainment for our wedding. The wedding itself was very fun and everyone was dancing. This would have been a better review, except Dave managed to get an a...
ttitude with multiple guests at the wedding because they were requesting too many songs. Plus, he was slow to respond to email and didn't play have the songs requested on my list (there were only about 8-10 special requests on the list). And he also had a way of patting himself on the back when he speaks.
DTR did a great job at our wedding! DTR provided us with a string trio for our ceremony and lighting for our recption in addition to being our DJ/MC for the night. The entire p...
rocess went smooth - from the initial meeting with Dave and Mike to the final meeting going over all the details to the day of. I could not recommend them more! They were able to read the crowd and had everyone dancing the entire night! DTR did such an awesome job that my sister and her fiance are using for them for their wedding next spring.
