Andy photographed our wedding in September 2019 and we could not have been happier. This is the third wedding (including our own) we've been to that Andy photographed and he is always extremely friendly, professional, down to earth and unobtrusive. For our wedding, he made us feel so at ease and he and his assistant perfectly illustrated the vibe we were looking for. My fiance and I wanted to do our first look in a more adventurous spot at our venue and he was totally on board and the photos are some of my favorites from the day. I would highly recommend Andy to others and I hope we have an opportunity to work with him in other contexts again.

Andy was the best decision we made for our wedding. He helped create our timeline for the day and captured every moment perfectly. He is kind, easy going and very talented. I would absolutely recommend using him if you are getting married in Vermont!

When I came across Andy his work immediately stood out from everyone else’s. We were lucky enough that Andy was free on our day and he unsurprisingly ended up being the best decision we made in planning the wedding. Andy photographed our massive wedding of 212 people this past August and deserves an award for doing so. I can’t count the number of people who complimented him on the wedding day and definitely can’t keep track of the admiration he received once our photos came out. He was patient with lots of big, loud personalities while also maintaining focus for the photos we wanted. We were shocked at how he was always present for the authentic, unplanned memories that we wanted while never once being overbearing or in our face. You can tell how dedicated Andy is to his work by how thorough he is- we would have been lost without his attention to detail in planning the portraits we wanted. He was sensitive to shooting the day in the way that we wanted and so helpful when we had no idea what to do. I personally didn’t want to spend the whole time posing for photos or stressing about whether they would end up looking okay and Andy’s talent allowed us to completely enjoy our day with our family and friends. Andy captured our guests and day so perfectly in his photos that we look through almost every day. We truly cannot say enough about how wonderful Andy made our day and are so thankful to him for giving us unbelievable memories that we can hold onto forever.

Andy photographed my wedding and rehearsal dinner, and I couldn’t have asked for a more perfect job. He photographed my brother’s wedding and when I got engaged several years later, I looked no further than Andy for my own wedding! He is extremely detail-oriented, friendly, easy to work with and get in touch with, precise, and has a great eye. He made my wedding weekend seamless and captured every moment perfectly. I highly recommend Andy!!!

Andy was the most phenomenal photographer that we have ever met. He met with us for several hours at the wedding venue prior to the wedding. We spent the afternoon touring the property, chatting about our relationship and coming up with a game day plan. He learned who our immediate family member and friends were in advance. He truly became part of the wedding party! The option of a second photographer was amazing and I strongly encourage people to pursue that addition. It allowed Andy to focus on us throughout the wedding without losing the opportunity to get pictures of our friends and family. Andy spent time viewing the property in advance which allowed him to think of some phenomenal picture opportunities (hopefully we’ll make it into his portfolio! The sunset gazebo picture was simply amazing). From beginning to end his main priority was to make sure the day went exactly as we wanted it. When I needed a some time alone after the ceremony to recoup from my nerves, he was able to rearrange the post-ceremony pictures with ease. He truly goes above and beyond at his job. I simply cannot say enough about his extraordinary talent and professionalism.

Andy photographed our wedding at The Hildene Estate and we cannot recommend him enough. We have so many beautiful shots that we can will own forever. As well, he was extremely professional, stuck to a schedule and an absolute joy to work with. Normally, we are a little uncomfortable in front of the camera but we instantly felt at ease working with Andy. Honestly, HIRE Andy without question. He’s just so incredibly talented and a wonderful person as well. You won’t regret it!

Andy photographed our August 2018 wedding at the Barn at Smuggler’s Notch and his photographs perfectly captured our beautiful day. He shot some unbelievable photos throughout the day and night that we will cherish forever, including the full moon rising above the mountains behind us, one of our absolute favorites! The slideshow he created brought us to tears almost immediately. His photos perfectly reflected our day full of love, light and happiness and exceeded our expectations. He managed to capture every aspect of our wedding, including small moments, details and many important people in our lives. We continue to be so happy with Andy’s beautiful photographs and look at them often. He was organized, relaxed, friendly, kind and a true professional. For two people somewhat uncomfortable in front of the camera, he put us at ease and we had fun and loved working with him. His presence photographing never felt intrusive and we were unaware and surprised by many of the pictures he managed to take. A lot of guests commented to us after how hard he worked and were blown away by his attention to detail and the images he managed to capture. It was Andy’s first time shooting a wedding at the Barn and he did his research and scouted locations around the property prior to meeting us to provide us with a variety of options. Together, we created a list of our families, bridal party and important people and images we hoped to capture, and he delivered on all of it! Andy made our experience so enjoyable and it was truly wonderful working with him. We highly recommend Andy Duback to anyone looking for a professional photographer for your wedding day! After looking at Andy's work and then speaking with him, we were instantly sold. He has an amazing work ethic mixed with a super laid back personality which was a great mix for us! We had him not only for our wedding day but also for our welcome party and he did an incredible job. He was very open to the things we wanted but he also had fabulous ideas for incredible shots! Even the guests loved him and said he was the best (there was even a couple who said that followed by "and we've been to A LOT of weddings" haha!)! It was a wonderful experience and we couldn't be happier with our photos! We highly recommend him to anyone getting married in the area!

Andy was phenomenal from start to finish. He was easy to work with in every way-- he was punctual, easy to get ahold of, direct, and personable both on the phone and in person. From the outset he gave complete and accurate information around timing and meetings and what to expect, and he actually followed through on all that, which few vendors did. I tend to have a lot of questions about everything and many vendors responded poorly to that (i.e. they treated me like I was being crazy and freaking out when asked questions so I became afraid to ask) but Andy welcomed my questions and never made me feel bad for wanting to know what's going on. He also took time to actually listen to us and get to know us (again, many vendors didn't do that and didn't even know we were local). At the wedding itself he made us and our guests feel comfortable, and as a result he got great photos of everyone, even guests who hate having their picture taken. He also never slows down-- he keeps an eye on the event as a whole at every moment so that when something happens during the party he sees it unfolding and gets there in time to capture it. A photo of my baby cousin handing me ("the princess") a bouquet of flowers in the corner of the reception hall is a perfect example of this-- almost no one even saw that happen but Andy got there and got the photo. Andy was the only vendor we worked with that our guests raved about. Andy sent our photos promptly on a usb but also sent us a link to view them online, which was a great way to share them with our guests. My dad called me after he saw the photos online to tell me how impressed he was. He said something like "you know, I've seen a lot of wedding photos-- a LOT of wedding photos, and they're all kind of the same, but these are incredible! That photographer is REAALLLLLY good." My dad is very hard to impress and hates photos, so this says it all. (Oh and one final comment: My husband just came over to see what I'm doing and I told him I wrote Andy a review. He said, "Nice. He was the man. And I hate having my picture taken!" So true. Thanks Andy!)

My wife and I were married at the amazing Trailside Inn on June 30, 2018. We had retained Andy in the months prior and had a pre-wedding, on site consultation with him about two months ahead of the event. Our wedding was Andy’s first at the Trailside Inn, so he was especially interested in scouting the area and getting to know nearby locations for the best family portraits, wedding portraits and first look. He really did his homework to familiarize himself with the grounds and area. During our coordination meeting, Andy was meticulous in populating a matrix of our entire wedding party and families to ensure that each group photo that we wanted was captured during the fast-moving wedding day. On our wedding day he planned to sneak us away for ten minutes near sunset for some additional wedding portrait. These photos are some of our favorites from the day and we appreciated the brief break from the reception. After the wedding, Andy delivered almost 1,000 amazing pictures ahead of schedule and cultivated an album of his own favorites to create a beautiful, chronological slideshow of the day set to music. His website is the main way we are able to view and download our photos and the domain is intuitive, high quality and attractively designed. He also provided us with an elegant USB drive so we have a hard copy of these priceless photos. Andy was everywhere during our wedding day. Literally everywhere. We know this now because of our showstopping wedding photo album that he delivered. All the moments that we missed by being the center of attention on our wedding day were perfectly captured by Andy so we never really missed a thing. We can honestly say that no one will work harder for you than Andy on your wedding day. We can’t wait to start working on our wedding album with him to create what we’re sure will become an heirloom. We feel truly lucky to have had Andy working with us on our wedding day and he delivered on his promises big time. He’s also a super nice guy! Thank you Andy, all the best! -James & Loren.

Andy is THE BEST. From the very first email exchange to the moment we received our photos, we've been so happy that we chose Andy to photograph our wedding. Andy is incredibly responsive and helpful - even offering suggestions for hair/makeup professionals when I was having trouble finding someone. He goes above and beyond to make sure that all needs are met and that everyone feels comfortable. He was flexible with a changing timeline and locations for photos, and has such an upbeat and positive attitude. Our guests never felt like they were "in the way" and never felt like Andy was in their way, either! He thoroughly seemed to enjoy being part of our wedding and wanted to make sure everything went as smoothly as possible for everyone. ...and then there's the photos! We were so pleased with all of the different shots and the way he captured our personalities, the feel of the day, and so many amazing candid shots (especially dance shots!). He was right out there on the dance floor capturing it all. Plus, we received a slideshow and all of our images in less than three weeks after our wedding. I can't say enough good things about Andy Duback!

Andy was the best photographer ever! He was super friendly, professional, and the photos we got back were beyond amazing. Andy is extremely details oriented and passionate about what he does, combined with experience and natural talent, you won’t find anyone better! As a photographer/videographer myself, I can honestly say that Andy put in 100% and more. I cannot reccomend him enough. Andy is such a kind and fun person, it was such a pleasure to have his positive energy at our wedding.

It's been said but I'll say it again: Andy really is the best. He captured exactly the pictures we asked for, and got creative shots we hadn't thought of. Andy also fit right in with the party. Remember, you and your family spend a good chunk of your wedding day around your photographer so it's important that they are easy to be around, understand family dynamics, and know how to be right in the action without grabbing attention. Andy did all of this! We even got compliments from friends saying how nice our photographer was. We'd recommend Andy to anyone.

You can tell that Andy truly loves his job. Not only is he professional and amazing at what he does, but he’s also really personable. I actually got so many compliments from my guests about Andy and how awesome he was - I’ve never been to a wedding where the photographer was so popular, so that in and of itself says a lot. My wedding pictures are amazing - he got exactly the right mix of portraits and candids. It was so much fun, and emotional, to look through all my pictures and see all the moments I missed (you miss a lot when you’re the bride!). Andy is awesome - you can’t go wrong with him.

Andy Duback was the photographer whose work I instantly fell in love with and kept going back to as I looked for a wedding photographer. Booking Andy was probably the most exciting moment of my wedding planning and still the decision I am most proud of! For 18 months I have been meaning to write this review and during that time my appreciation for his work has only grown. It is one thing that our photos were more beautiful than I could have dreamt possible, but another to have been lucky enough to work with such a great human behind the lens. Andy is this tall athletic looking guy who you would normally think would be impossible to miss in a room, yet somehow he was able to get all of these photos while being incredibly discrete, calm, graceful, and unassuming, kind, and efficient. He was amazing with children and adults alike. Andy is incredibly gifted, and his talent is matched by his enthusiasm for photography and commitment to providing a top-quality product for his clients. He holds the bar high as both artist and quintessential professional. He is energetic and you can see every minute that he loves what he does. I have never seen someone work so hard and never imagined how much care and effort he would put into capturing our day. He is not only expert in the portrait planning, but his candids are magical. Everything that he put into capturing those photos also left a lasting impression on us. His preparation from meeting with us ahead of time made family portraits go quickly and seamlessly, and we had an awesome array of photos of our friends and family throughout the ceremony and reception, especially those we had named as being particularly important to us. We wanted our portraits to showcase the Adirondacks and our love for the outdoors. I have no idea when he managed to do it but Andy brought his hiking boots and scouted a trail ahead of time for the best places for our photos. When we were there, he got down in the moss and dirt for the shot he wanted - totally didn’t care about getting dirty or working up a sweat in the humidity! We loved one portrait so much that we went back to the same log to recreate it last summer with my baby belly, and will take it again next summer with our 9 month old. For some photos on Mirror Lake, he had coordinated with the guy at the Crowne Plaza boat house (we did our reception at the Golf House) to prepare a rowboat for us-it’s as if they were old buddies when we arrived. Andy’s beaming smile throughout made it all the more fun-he definitely loves the outdoors and was enthusiastic to share our vision. Despite the wind on the lake we somehow got some really special shots. He kept a keen eye on the light over the mountains and grabbed us from the reception when it was irresistible (he told us in advance to expect this) – I’m so glad he did because we ended up with our favorite portrait, with the High Peaks in the background. It is incredible to me when we look at our getting ready photos, the portraits, the church ceremony, and the reception, that all of the photos came from one single photographer. Andy thought of everything, every shot and moment, and beautifully captured each sacred moment. He make everything feel natural and knows how to artfully preserve what moments of love look like forever, to always remind us of what is most precious in life. Best photographer ever. Andy is the BEST photographer. I am beyond happy that we picked him to photograph our special day. He was professional, easy to work with, and provided incredible pictures of the entire day. We originally selected Andy because we really liked his candids. It can seem "easy" to get a great portrait shot, but Andy worked so hard to catch special moments each step of the way AND provided stunning portraits. At times it seems like he was in more than one place at a time by how much he was able to capture! The joy and love we felt from everyone at the wedding, Andy so beautifully captured. If he's available for your date, PICK HIM! Worth every penny.

Andy is incredible. He perfectly captured our wedding day. He is organized and efficient to get all of the "must haves" done and was loved by all of our guests. I am extremely thankful that we found Andy (and his cinematographer partner Annavitte!!) and would highly recommend booking him for your wedding!

Andy was brilliant - organized, friendly, warm, firm at the right times :), and most importantly an incredibly visionary photographer who got dozens of hang-able prints of us and all our guests.
