Ducharme Designs is owned and operated by Delores Ducharme Stiver. It has been serving the community of Richmond TX for 30 Years and has recently relocated in Towne Lake, Cypress Tx. Our passion is making you look your best by either creating unique designs with you, refurbishing vintage wedding dresses, or altering your new wedding attire. Whether it's your wedding dress, mother of the Bride/Groom dress, bridesmaids, flower girls ring bearer or men's suits, we do it all. Clients leave happier than expected, with a fit they never imagined. Care, attention and patience are key to making Ducharme Design clients feel like they are in good hands and that their needs will be met. My whole experience from start to finish with Delores was great! She does beautiful work. She altered the wedding dress I bought and then added custom sleeves. I had so many compliments on the sleeves they were beautiful and made the dress!

I was SO lucky to have found the amazing and incredibly talented Delores Stiver at Ducharme Designs. Her custom bridal dress studio was one of the exceptional highlights and experiences leading into our son’s wedding weekend in creating a one-of-a kind Mother of the Groom dress for me. After shopping trips to bridal salons and stores and feeling despair over the lack of uniqueness I found Delores who told me if “I have a vision she can make it for me”. I actually sat down and drew a little drawing of what I was thinking in my mind – and she totally got exactly what I was picturing, and she listened to me in designing a dress that I not only felt stunning in but had countless compliments and everyone wanting to know at the wedding (and on Facebook) ‘Where did you get your dress” AMAZING! She made the entire experience a complete dream from start to finish and by the end I had more than a talented dress maker, but a friend! Ducharme Designs worked her magic in bringing my hopes and dreams no matter what my size and shape was, to make me feel incredible at the wedding. There are not enough words to describe how grateful I am, but I can tell you I felt like a million dollars on the big day, and it was a magical experience! She also helped with my little granddaughter’s dress who was a flower girl in getting it to fit perfectly on such a little body. Thank You!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND Delores!!!!

Delores was a dream! She transformed my dress that I brought to her to a more custom fit and style that I wanted and it was perfect! She also was able to restore and revamp my Grandmothers wedding dress to fit me and I was able to wear it for my rehearsal. She was so easy to work with! Highly recommend!

Delores is an extremely talented seamstress, she has done amazing work for us over several years, firstly my mother of the Grooms dress, then my daughters wedding dress and now my Daughter in Laws to be dress. Very easy to work with and reasonable pricing.

Delores is amazing. I bought a gown for my stepson’s wedding. I bought it 2 sizes larger because I did not like the revealing neckline and wanted more coverage. I knew only Delores was skilled enough to transform my dress. Let me just say she went above and beyond my expectations. My gown fit like a glove and gave me the coverage I desired. I was thrilled to say the least. I felt wonderful in my gown and got many compliments. Thank you again Delores

The wedding dress needs to be a highlight on your special day, right? It has to be perfect, and that's what you get with Ducharme Designs. Whether she's starting from an original design, or simply making alterations on a gown you've purchased, Delores is the best couturier I've worked with. Her mother of the bride or groom designs are exquisite too. Figure flaws won't matter when Delores is finished. Her creations will make any woman feel gorgeous. Five stars here.

We had a family heirloom wedding dress that my mother and I had both worn, and my daughter wanted to wear it. It needed a lot of alterations, plus my daughter wanted some changes to the bodice, sleeves, and the bustle. The dress was made of layers of satin, peau de soie, and lace, and was very delicate. From our first meeting with her, Delores was completely confident that she could make all the changes we requested and make the dress exactly what my daughter wanted. She scheduled three fittings, and worked around when my daughter was in town and available. She complete reworked the scalloped hem and the lace border, and took apart the bodice and put it back together with new sleeves. She even used some of the embellishments from the long sleeves that were removed on the new cap sleeves. Our job required a seamstress with a great attention to detail and very advanced skills, and Delores was up to the task. She was professional and easy to work with, and we were so happy to have found someone so extremely talented who was able to make this happen. The dress was perfect, my daughter looked beautiful, and it was a very special part of her wedding day.

Absolutely AMAZING! When i went in for my final alterations the dress has never felt so much better and amazing in. She does such brilliant work. Will forever be going to her. She so worth having and very sweet lady. I will always continue to drive an hour and a half to have her alter all my future dresses.

Delores is AMAZING! When I first laid eyes on my dress I knew it was the one. Unfortunately my dress was apparently designed with a 6 foot B cup owner in mind. And I was working with 5 feet and a D cup. Odds were against me!! I went to Delores with my fingers and toes crossed, my dress in one hand and about 10 pages of hand drawn ideas in the other (pew cones, fabric sewn on to the edges of an aisle runner etc.). Delores didn’t even bat an eye and said “okay, let’s get started”! I had a vision and a lot of hopes that I thought were most likely just dreams. But Delores literally is a miracle worker! Not only did my dress fits like it was made just for me, every thing I had hand drawn she brought to life! If you are reading this, you don’t need to look any further, just call Delores!!!

Not as “Mother-of-the Bride” , but as close “Aunt-of-the-Bride”, I had the privilege of being with my niece for every fitting and watching the entire process through completion. Delores’s attention to the finest detail is impeccable and there is no problem she was not able to solve. I have since told many others about her and have heard nothing but “Thank you so much for referring us !” from each one. You can be confident that with DuCharme Designs, wedding attire will be one area of the planning where you can leave your worries behind.

Ducharme Designs altered not only my wedding dress but also my rehearsal dinner suit and the mother of the bride dress. Each outfit was altered to PERFECTION. My wedding dress was extremely intricate, shipped from New Zealand, and many sizes too big. The length of the arms were too long, the back and sides needed to be taken in without bulging, and the amount of lace, appliques, and detail in the dress gave me anxiety that the alterations (no matter how good) would not appear seamless. I was blown away when Delores made the dress look as if it was created by the designer especially for me. There wasn’t a flaw to be seen after she was finished with her work. I would recommend Deloris and her business a million times again to any who wants precise, quality, beautiful work done. Thank you Deloris for making my special day even more special with this work of art wedding dress!

Delores is amazing! She transformed my wedding dress into the dress of my dreams when I wanted to add a belt. My dress fit like a glove and I felt like the most beautiful bride in the world. Not only did she help me with my wedding dress, but she designed and created my dress for a wedding shower and for my junior bridesmaid. Ducharme Designs is where it’s at! Look no further. And by the way, she help design my baby bedding after the wedding too! 😘

She was able to take pictures I showed her of different dresses and combine the elements I liked from each, creating the most beautiful custom wedding dress for me. She kept me in the loop through the design process and we had several fittings along the way to make sure the fit of the dress was perfect. Delores is AMAZING!!! I took my BHLDN dress to a place they recommended in the Galleria and they RUINED my dress. After crying myself sick, I took it to Delores to fix it and not only did she fix it, but she undid everything that was wrong with it and did exactly what I wanted done in the first place. She absolutely saved my wedding and is a dream to work with!! She really listens to your wants and needs and as a Bride that just made me feel SO special. My wedding (& wedding vision) was saved because of this angel. I would 1000% recommend and will use her in the future for all my other special event dresses!

There's no one else like her! Delores has been making custom dresses for me for decades and there is nothing she can't make or do! For example, one time I took a picture of the TV because I liked the dress that the woman on TV was wearing and text it to her. In no time at all, I had an exact replica of that dress! She has helped me design and create my own custom homecoming dress, prom dress, vacation dresses, business attire, you name it! I have gotten so spoiled that when I am out shopping, if i see something I love and they don't have my size or its not quite the right fit, I buy it anyways because I know it's an easy fix for Delores. All of my friends have also used her over the years. She has been the go-to for years because she is not only reasonable, but it's is rare to find someone of her skill level. Everyone I know has also used her for their bridesmaid dresses, wedding dresses, mother-of-the-bride dresses, converting their mother's dress to their own, and flower girl dresses, etc. Whether it be designing from scratch (or co-designing with her, which is so fun and special!), taking an idea from a dress you saw, or simply alterations or bustling, as I said, there's really nothing she can't do! Highly recommend!
