o work with over the past two years. Though we had multiple different contacts/coordinators during that time, we are so grateful that our final coordinator was Norma, along with Ema. Norma and Ema were both experienced and organized, while also making themselves available to answer any questions and talk through any ideas that we had. They would share their own experiences to help give guidance and best practices for a fun and easy wedding day. The entire ceremony and reception ran seamlessly under their supervision which made it easy for my husband and I to sit back, relax and enjoy all of our hard work. Additionally, the food and drinks at the wedding were superb. We have gotten multiple compliments since our wedding about the quality of the food and service that our guests experienced at the Dukessa. We were even treated to some drinks and a cheese plate in our groom's and bride's suites which was an incredibly kind and unexpected gesture. I would recommend the Dukessa to any bride in Houston - and in general to anyone looking for an event venue near the Galleria area.

I looked at a few venues as most couples do, but what I really liked about Dukessa was the following: 1) Your event will be the only event that night 2) The architecture is absolutely beautiful without looking overly gaudy like some other places I looked at 3) There is plenty of room upstairs, downstairs and in the courtyard so you don't have to turnover rooms in between. You have plenty of space with your guests and each of these areas are beautiful 4) You can design 2 different ways to walk down the aisle 4) Location was great - it was close to the galleria area and there was ample (and safe!) parking for guests. I've been working with the Dukessa over the past 2.5 years on and off since I had to reschedule my wedding due to covid and I want to give a HUGE shout out to Norma - as soon as she came into the picture I felt extremely at ease. She is so good at wedding planning and is always working with you. I never once felt that she judged any of my decisions and she always tried to say "yes" because she really wanted to try to make my wedding day as special as it could be. On the day of the wedding, Norma & Emma organized the wedding so extremely well that I couldn't even think of a single flaw! Moreover, the Dukessa staff were all so incredibly polite and kind. If I could choose to redo my wedding all over again, I would plan it right here at the Dukessa.

he staff was so friendly and everything went smoothly. The courtyard is the perfect cozy space for cocktail hour and the string lights make it very romantic and intimate. No detail has been spared from this venue. The windows upstairs, where you get a panoramic view of the city is breathtaking. My best friend was so happy with how her wedding day went and 5 months later we are all still talking about it. Once, my boyfriend proposes I am definitely checking them out!

Their courtyard is the perfect space if you don't want to fully commit to an outside cocktail hour. It allows guests to be outside but also step back into the A/C for the summer months (so all year for TX!) Go check them out, you won't be disappointed!

dding planning started in June for the wedding in December of the same year. Talk about last minute planning! With a small guest list of less than 70 and majority of out of town guests, Dukessa delivered every single details. Lyssa Howeth is super helpful when it comes to any questions that I had in between. She is a call/email away. Even during the day of the wedding, Lyssa is such a sweetheart and helping me to go as planned despite all my family guests came early and bombarded the venue ( the kids are running all over the place, my groomsmen being late, bridesmaids are not being helpful, my bridezilla self being controlling...) Lyssa even helped me try to find my bustle on my dress when my bridesmaids can't ... talk about her dedication! Jonathan was our reception supervisor. He ensured the food, drinks are on point throughout the night. I did not have to worry about anything and that is a big plus. The bartendar ( Sorry, I forgot his name but I guess he did his job right haha) was exceptional. We had an open bar and everyone was happy dancing ( No drunken accidents). Even one of my cousin doesn't drink but he was raving about this one particular signature drink that the bartender made. THE FOOD WAS DELICIOUS! All the guests complimented on how perfect it was! How amazing it was to have a ceremony and reception in one BEAUTILFUL location. With the bipolar weather in Texas, Dukessa was the ABSOLUTE PERFECT choice for indoor and outdoor venue. For our chilly December wedding, we decided to have indoor ceremony and reception for the elders. But for the cocktail hours, the beautiful outdoor garden was DISNEY dreamy under the sparking lights. Thank you so much to all the Dukessa staff to made my wedding more than perfect. It was a special spot for an intimate wedding surrounded with close friends and family.

tone - pretty much all neutral items that are elegant and pretty and can go with any style of wedding you are planning. And you get all this right in the middle of Houston - next to the Galleria mall. I loved Dukessa in the pictures and I loved it even more when I got there. It looks better in person! Courtyard is beautiful and perfect for cocktails and so is there ceremony room downstairs with lovely iron doors. Food was phenomenal at our wedding - still hearing such good things about it! Staff throughout has been wonderful and super helpful. I highly recommend Dukessa as a wedding venue in Houston!

dont even feel like you are in Houston - you feel like you are in some beautiful town in Europe in the Summer! It has this beautiful wrought iron and wood and greenery everywhere --- just gorgeous! Besides just an amazing space, their food is beyond great -- chef is some big-time award winner - they even have a lunch restaurant downstairs that has won so many accolades. But totally deserving as the food at our wedding was delicious. Service was great as well - actually all the staff at Dukessa was great! You will love this beautiful venue - A MUST SEE!

t was a hit. The bartenders and wait staff were all outstanding as well. They were so accommodating to all of our needs which was so helpful. Would definitely recommend this venue. We had about 170 guests and were not squeezed in at all. The patio out back was so perfect for our cocktail hour. Lyssa the venue coordinator was great to work with, super responsive and accommodating. You do have to work with The Perfect Touch for decor and flowers, and they are great to work too! My reception, ceremony, and cocktail hour all looked so elegant! My bouquet and flowers were so beautiful. We got so many compliments on the venue. It’s reasonably priced and located in the galleria area!

Both of them were prompt with emails, understood what we wanted, and helped us make our day perfect. The day of, Lyssa stayed in the morning and Rebecca stayed until the event ended. The day went smoothly and we had no problems with our schedule. The only thing that was a little disappointing was our steaks coming out cold for some guests and we (bride & groom) had to ask for our plates after many tables were served. No problem, we understand that serving big groups is tough so it wasn’t something that made or broke our experience here. I’d suggest a tour to make sure you like the atmosphere and style the venue has to offer. It’s very pretty! We had 175 guests roughly. I wouldn’t have more than 18 tables upstairs because it will get tight. It was enough room to mingle for our awesome group though! I will definitely be back for brunch sometime. Our friends and family really enjoyed the venue!

We loved everything about this venue - first, it had the best location as I didnt want my guests to have to drive hours for my wedding, second, it is a gorgeous venue with so many nice little details including their beautiful courtyard which we used for cocktails, and third, they do all their catering in-house and they have an amazing chef (we are foodies and we take our food very seriously but their chef knocked it out of the park). We are super excited to share this 5-star review with you because really you cant go wrong by having your wedding at Dukessa - your day will be everything you dreamed of and more!! LOVE Dukessa!

Our food was delicious - in fact, our guests are still raving about it! Johnathan took really good care of us on the day of the event and bar service, waitstaff, valet - all was smooth and professional. It was a beautiful Fall evening for cocktails in the nicely lit courtyard - kind of magical. We loved our entire experience at Dukessa and we are very happy that we chose them for our smooth, stress-free wedding! Thank you all.

you won’t even realize that you are in Houston. Courtyard is gorgeous with fountains and flowers and the wine room inside with beautiful windows is so inviting. And then the ballroom upstairs where we had our dinner and reception was impeccable. Again with lots of windows and a balcony overlooking the courtyard. Dukessa staff was equally nice - super informed and efficient. They also have the best food in town. We ate lunch at their restaurant downstairs just to try it out and it was awesome. On our wedding day, the food was just as good! We will chose Dukessa again for any other special event that we may be hosting - it was a wonderful experience all the way!*****

the amount of money that I spent on the venue, these issues are just ridiculous. - First off, once the salad was served the wait staff took so long to serve the main entree. Many of my guest after the wedding. Informed me that their food was in fact COLD when it arrived. I was very organized with my meal selections and had meal stickers on every place card, sent them a list prior to the event so the time they took to serve food is outrageous. - Laura (the dukessa coordinator) and I have been working together for OVER A YEAR assured me and promised me that she would be present for the day of the wedding as my coordinator. Well the day of the wedding she is not present and the staff informs me that she is “out of the country”. There is no way that you can know you will be out of the country without advance knowledge. I was not given any information prior and she was replaced with Rebecca. I had no prior experience with her so it was very frustrating. - The venue apparently does not know how to cut a damn wedding cake. I had to get my groom and wedding planner to yell at the staff and tell them to PASS THE CAKE OUT” and when they did my guest received cake in little pieces. Not pretty whole pieces but chopped up crumbles of cake. - They told my mom and sister who stayed back to clean up whatever was personal items “that if these items are not take home they will be thrown out” - They force you to work with “The Perfect Touch” because it’s the owners brother and half my flowers were already withering and dying when I received them. Everything that I informed them I wanted they half assed. For instance I paid about $600 for flowers to go up the main stairway and sent savannah (who I worked with from the perfect touch) pictures and inspiration. They literally took some greenery and wrapped it around the stairway and placed (and I’m not exaggerating) 4 roses on that stairway. It made me upset because it wasn’t what I paid for. I paid for flowers and I made that very clear to the perfect touch. - All the candles on one side of the wall was not lit - The venue had a electrical problem with my photo booth. (See attached email) - I had chandeliers hanging in the courtyard and i had to tell the staff to go turn them on. Things like these are very frustrating as the bride. You’re trying to have a great time and these thing occur. If it was something that was beyond the dukessa control I would understand but the cold food, the rudeness I experienced is not fair. I paid so much money to a venue that delivered half ass. Other than the building because pretty it’s not worth it to go with this venue. I would encourage any future bride to really take your hard earned money elsewhere.

The venue has great flow too with no room flips necessary. We loved the floor to ceiling windows to bring all that lush greenery inside. Besides all that, food and service was outstanding. Staff is so helpful and kind and smiling all the time. The food was just delicious, was presented really well in the buffet, the waitstaff was very attendant and helped in any way they could. It was a wonderful experience throughout and a wonderful wedding day. Thank you Dukessa ladies (and gentleman). You guys rocked!

gorgeous at night with all of the lights and fountains! They made the planning process so easy and answered all of my (many) questions quickly! The day of, I didn't get to see the venue until after my guests got there for the reception, and everything was perfect! Everything was in the exact spot as discussed with the venue director. The waitstaff and bartenders were very attentive and polished. My guests raved about the food and cannot stop talking about the venue!! I would highly recommend Dukessa!

She was quick to answer all of my questions and when she did not have an answer, she would have one to me via email within a few days. We loved having our wedding here as the space was perfect for what we wanted- a one spot fits all venue that is close to town, beautiful, and not insanely expensive. We had our ceremony in the wine room, cocktail hour on the beautiful patio, and reception upstairs! We were blown away by the food - the quality and quantity of the food was perfect and they had plenty of options for us to choose from! Our guests loved it too. I cannot reiterate how many compliments we recieved from our guests on how perfect the venue was and how good the food was! We were able to have the rehearsal Friday evening and we arrived Saturday mid afternoon for pictures and partied the night away. Throughout all of this, the Dukessa staff was helpful, informative, and fun! The all inclusive package was also really helpful and made our lives much easier in all but one area. We loved working with the chef at Dukessa, the bartenders, Cakes by Gina, and the DJ service Eliment with Javier! They were all great to work with and made our wedding day amazing. I will say that the rental company Dukessa chooses to partner with - The Perfect Touch - was very disappointing and incredibly hard to work with. Working with them was the only negative aspect of choosing the all inclusive package. I will say this though - Laura stepped in and assisted when I needed her too. She was super understanding and let me come to her with all of my concerns. While I disliked working with this vendor, if we had to go back and do it again, we would absolutely choose Dukessa again and the all inclusive package!

I thought we were going to end up "paying" for it the day of the wedding. I was wrong. The reception was just like we've planned it. It went very smooth, no problems, no last minute issues. During the reception, the service was great. Food was just like on the tasting day, servers were very kind and the Chef came to check with us if everything was good. Rebecca was always on sight, paying attention, ready to jump in when needed, always happy to help and with a smile. To summarize it, Dukessa and it's staff exceed our expectations. If we had to do it all over again, we would do choose Dukessa. To Laura and Rebecca, thank you.

We had the best event here and the staff was absolutely fabulous. We had fusion buffet if Indian food and American food for our event and And both their chefs are AMAZING! Our south Asian food was better than we have had at any restaurant or any othe wedding and the American food was excellent too. I highly recommend Dukessa! Thank you.
