About this vendor
Dreaming of a wedding on the beach or a honeymoon that feels like a fairytale? You’re in the right place. I’m Dana, the founder of DWD Travel & Destination Weddings—a full-service destination wedding planner and travel advisor who believes your most meaningful milestones deserve more than a cookie-cutter approach. Whether you’re tying the knot with your toes in the sand or heading off on a once-in-a-lifetime escape, I’m here to make the planning process stress-free, heartfelt, and uniquely you.
As a destination wedding planner specializing in all-inclusive weddings in Mexico and the Caribbean, I do more than just book travel. I help you find the perfect resort that aligns with your vision, guest needs, and budget—and I don’t stop there. I step in long before a resort wedding coordinator ever will, walking you through timelines, costs, and the big-picture details to avoid surprises down the road. I guide you in creating a cohesive wedding design that reflects your style and love story, and I act as your dedicated liaison with the resort wedding team—bridging communication gaps and leveraging the relationships I’ve built across the region to ensure your day is truly unforgettable.
But destination wedding planning isn’t just about the wedding day. I also help your guests with their travel—handling room blocks, reservations, transportation, and questions—so you don’t have to. Each couple I work with receives a custom wedding website and dedicated support to keep things seamless from “yes” to “I do.” This is full-service support with heart, expertise, and a genuine desire to make this the best trip of your life (and your guests’ too!).
And when it comes to honeymoons or vacations, I craft one-of-a-kind itineraries around the globe. Whether it’s relaxing in an overwater bungalow in Bora Bora, hiking through Iceland, eating your way through Italy, or chasing the Northern Lights in Finland, I’ll help you design an experience that matches your travel style and dreams. From flights and transfers to excursions and spa appointments, I take care of every detail. You get the trip of a lifetime—without the stress.
If you're searching for a destination wedding planner who sees you, supports you, and brings a personal touch to every part of the planning journey, I’d be honored to help you create something unforgettable.
Let’s plan something beautiful together.

With destination wedding planning, a lot of things can feel out of your control. However, DWD gives you a voice throughout the entire journey and ensures that your dream day become...
s a reality.
Dana is thorough, thoughtful, and intentional with every detail. She makes you feel like you're her only client. She is deeply committed to her clients' happiness and can immediately tell when something isn't quite right. She doesn't rest until she knows you're 100% satisfied!
She explains everything clearly and makes every question feel important—never silly or insignificant (and trust me, we had a lot of those!). She is incredibly patient and always takes the time to walk you through things so you feel informed and confident every step of the way.
Above all, Dana is truly passionate about what she does. She is exactly where God intended her to be. She radiates a genuine love and excitement for her work, and that energy is contagious. You can't help but feel excited and confident when working with her!
Choosing DWD was hands down one of the best decisions we made during our wedding planning process!
From our very first Zoom call to the final guest leaving the resort, Dana with was nothing short of phenomenal. Planning a destination wedding for over 100 guests in Cancun was no ...
small feat, but Dana made the entire process seamless and enjoyable.
She worked hand-in-hand with our on-site wedding coordinator, ensuring every detail was covered and every request was handled with care. From organizing airport transfers for all our guests to making last-minute arrangements for our officiant, Dana was always one step ahead—responding within minutes and finding solutions to every curveball.
But it wasn’t just the logistics—Dana’s thoughtfulness truly set her apart. She went above and beyond with personal touches and genuine care that made us feel so supported throughout the process. Her warmth, organization, and passion turned her from “wedding planner” into “dear friend” by the end of our planning journey.
We can’t imagine our wedding without her. If you’re even thinking about using DWD Travel—do it. You won’t just get a planner—you’ll gain a teammate, a cheerleader, and a forever friend.
We LOVE Dana!

Dana served a both our travel agent + wedding planner for our destination wedding in Mexico on a quick timeline (8-9 months) with positivity, grace, honesty, and dedicated service....
She asked important questions and gave sound guidance from early planning through execution of all our wedding celebrations (e.g. wedding website, RSVP deadlines, paper + digital travel itineraries, resort/menu/venue selection, and everything in between!). To top it all off, you can tell she genuinely cares about people (you, you both as a couple, and your guests). I would work with Dana again in the future and highly recommend her services!

ked with us to plan a trip full of art, history, food, and relaxation. We transitioned across several different regions in Italy throughout our time there, and Dana coordinated all of the transit on planes, trains, ferries, and cars to perfection to make sure that we could get to where we needed to be with no issues. She also suggested and planned incredible tours and excursions that were a little bit more unique and off the beaten path, and we were left extremely impressed with her local knowledge and connections. Dana is a true expert at putting together unforgettable travel experiences, and we are so thankful that we got the opportunity to work with her for our dream honeymoon. This was the perfect way to spend the first two weeks of our marriage!

stress affair for me, thanks to the leg work done prior to our arrival. In addition to helping me choose the perfect resort for our needs, booking the half dozen friends that came along and all of us, the week before we left, I had a job interview come up on the day of our arrival. Dana worked with the resort staff to ensure that I had wifi access immediately upon arrival so I could connect for my interview. A million thanks for everything!!

We toured the Vatican in Rome, did a wine and olive oil tasting and dinner in Tuscany, took a pizza and gelato cooking class in Florence and did a food tour in Venice to name a few! She provided a detailed itinerary and printed all of our transportation vouchers- she made it so easy for us! My husband and I had the best time exploring Italy and I will be forever grateful for Dana for our amazing adventure as newlyweds!!

oon for April. We obviously had to reschedule because of COVID. Dana took care of all the rescheduling and making sure we get all our credit back from resort.
My husband and I went on our honeymoon in September to Mexico. It was such an amazing time. It was a resort that Dana suggested for us and so thankful she did.
Hurricane Delta was on it's way to Mexico the day we were scheduled to leave... Dana was on phone with airlines for three hours trying to find us an earlier flight. We did make it out of Mexico before hurricane! Dana was texting me making sure we were okay and checking in to see if we have boarded plane yet. She truly cares about our safety and wants us to have the best time possible.
Thankful we worked with Dana for our honeymoon and plan to continue to work with her for all my future trips.
