I reached out to Robert at Dynamic Dance DFW after seeing stellar reviews and recommendations in the lead-up to our wedding. As a bit of an early wedding present/surprise for my then-fiancee, I booked a series of dance lessons for the two of us to perfect and feel confident in our first dance as a married couple. My wife, a wonderful, incredible young woman, can be a bit timid in large groups - and I knew the big stage and spotlight on her very own wedding might overwhelm her. It was important to me to find a teacher that could help instill comfort and confidence into her so that she'd truly enjoy the moment, if nothing else. Robert was indispensable in making her feel valued, validated, seen, heard, and confident in (both of our) abilities and movement. Not only is he an amazing teacher that helped us both better-understand the rhythm and movement of a wedding dance, but his choreography and acknowledgement (and demystifying) of the grandiose pageantry that is associated with 'first dances', and weddings in general, made us both much more at-ease. It took out all of the pressure and expectation and just made it what great dance should be: Fun. Robert is a true gentleman, a fantastic dancer, and consummate professional. He is patient, kind, understanding, and personable. He teaches with an unforced hand and a delicate, respectful, witty demeanor that makes each move and turn memorable and fun. He breaks down the routine into easily-digestible, teachable segments and reiterates and reaffirms confidence in the dynamic of both dancing partners throughout. I found myself enormously enthralled by the experience and my wife, stressed by many facets of our impending nuptials, could not wait to get back every single week and class. It was truly a blast in the best of ways. The kind of learning experience you head out of with gleeful anticipation of the next session. We had a delightful time with a great teacher. But, what's more - the DANCE itself was incredible at our actual wedding reception! Our entire wedding party, family, and friends reveled in seeing us go through the motions of the choreographed routine Robert carefully taught us with smooth style and enough confidence to make it look (at least marginally) like we knew what we were doing. Whereas the grand majority of weddings I attend the bride and groom seem to 'middle school dance' their way awkwardly through a first song with waddling, shifting feet and frozen-stiff posture; my wife and I were so pleased with how Robert gave us the tools to look, show, and truly *feel* like we had something more. And that's such a joy, even now, months later. We find ourselves, every now and again, 'triple-turning' through the aisles of the grocery store or 'getting arrested' (inside joke on a dance position) around empty parking lots as we skip along walking to the car. It's a testament to the craft, the experience, the instruction, and - ultimately - the instructor - and just what a great time we had. Robert is an excellent teacher, a knowledgeable, talented, charismatic dancer, and a wonderful person to meet. We cannot recommend his business enough and can't wait to go back for new lessons in new dances.

Robert choreographed our first dance for my November wedding and I am so glad we found him! He taught us very impressive moves and helped us make our dance feel natural. He made us feel comfortable and now we are doing triple turns on every dance floor. He is such a great person and would 100% recommend choosing him for any choreography or dance lessons!
