Ezra got the vibe we were going for & knocked it out of the park. Ezra's professionalism kept the order of service going & helped the reception stay on time. Ezra was a pleasure to work with throughout the wedding planning process. During our initial virtual meeting he immediately made us feel like comfortable and listened to. He provided us with a simple to use app that allowed us to pull songs from various platforms and decide when we wanted them played. Beyond that, he catered the reception playlist to our music preferences and we had guests dancing all night! He comes with a very professional set up, and the sound was great during our outdoor ceremony and reception. At the end of our wedding, Ezra took the time to pull us to the side for a final private dance, which meant a lot to us. We wanted everyone to have a great time and Ezra made that happen! Ezra is an amazing DJ! He made our wedding experience perfect, understanding the vibes of our guests, keeping the music and party going. Extra bonus of him playing the saxophone during cocktail hour. DJ Doah is truly incredible! E and E Special Events was recommended to us by our coordinator, and we were lucky enough to be connected with Doah. We chose the DJ Services (Enhanced Ceremony) with Wedding Reception DJ and Ceremony Coverage, which was the perfect selection to have full DJ coverage for ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception in addition to lapel microphone for the officiant and wireless microphone for reception toasts. Doah also brought two setups for our separate ceremony, cocktail, and reception areas which allowed there to be no lapse in music coverage. Doah was so personable and really understood/catered to our music vision! He was also very flexible as we continued to change music selection and wedding day timeline throughout the year of planning. Between our two zoom meetings with Doah, once when we first booked him a year out from our wedding and again a few weeks before the big day, we felt like Doah was already part of the family. Day of, Doah didn't miss a "beat" and executed all of our big song choices/transitions perfectly! He was kind enough to step out during our last private dance and join in on the grand exit; then gave us the best bar recommendation for the after party and later joined in for the late-night festivities after he cleaned up his equipment. Doah's energy, fun spirit, personal connection, and professionalism played a huge role in providing us with the perfect wedding day music. I am so grateful and honored to have had him as our DJ, and now friend.

We hired Ezra and Simon for my sister’s wedding and it was every bit as amazing as we had hoped! We enjoyed Ezra as our DJ for our wedding reception ! Ezra did an amazing job at our wedding and we can’t thank him enough!! We planned our wedding from out of state, which can be an intimidating process, but Ezra made it seamless. He set up a Zoom call with us to talk face-to-face about our wants and needs before booking and immediately set our minds at ease. After that call, there was no doubt in our minds he was going to be our DJ. The app he uses to upload our music from our streaming channel of choice was a huge help. It guided us through each section of the day and helped us not only tell him what music we wanted, but also helped us choose our songs. He did an amazing job with our ceremony music and provided a mic for our officiant. Our reception could not have been more fun and that’s all thanks to him. We had planned on doing a private last dance at the end of the night, but after seeing all of the fun our guests were having I decided to cut it out to have more time to dance with our guests. When I told him last minute he didn’t skip a beat and kept the fun going. You will have no regrets booking them!

Would give extra stars if I could! Ezra & his team were so easy to work with and excellent at what they do. Doah was who we primarily worked with for our wedding, and he & Hector were who we had on the day of the wedding. I told them to bring the party- and BOY DID THEY BRING IT! Weddings can be so stressful, and I didn't have a thing to worry about when it came to the DJs. Wonderful, amazing, show-stopping. BOOK THEM!!!!

Ezra was such a great DJ! My husband and I (and many other guests) never left the dance floor once open dancing began! We received so many compliments from our guests. He was able to read the room and play music that would bring/keep guests on the dance floor. He seamlessly transitioned between popular pop hits and popular Latin hits to keep both sides of our families engaged. He was very helpful in calming our anxiety during the planning process and the app was helpful in feeling focused and organized. Would definitely recommend!

Ezra was fantastic! If you’re looking for a DJ in the VA beach area, I highly recommend E and E special events. Ezra made the process super easy with his app and kept everyone on the dance floor like I had hoped! Before our wedding day, he was super responsive and supportive in helping us select our songs and order the events of the day, even dealing with me changing the songs more than once. E and E Special Events was a preferred vendor for the Lesner Inn, and we’re so grateful to have been pointed in Ezra’s direction! During the music leading into the ceremony, I’d requested some songs that were important to our parents and grandparents. While I was tucked away during that part of the ceremony, my aunt later told me in tears that they noticed every detail and my grandparents had held hands after they recognized their song. We may have had some unusual requests but Ezra made everything flow perfectly! As for the reception… We told him we wanted a fun dance party and he delivered! We didn’t give him a long list of songs for the reception but he nailed exactly the energy we were looking for! We also had a 9-year-old guest who made a few song requests and it made her feel so special when Ezra played them! She spent the whole night dancing.

Ezra is the best!! We absolutely loved having him as our wedding DJ! He was always so helpful, understanding, and answered any and all questions I had for him. He is extremely kind and patient and was such a joy to work with and made wedding planning so much easier! We also hired him to play the saxophone for cocktail hour and he did an incredible job! I don’t have enough words to rave about Ezra! He was GREAT! We had Ezra play the saxophone for my grand entrance and during cocktail hour, all while being the DJ. He ran the “show” for us so we did not have to stress out about any of it. Our guests loved him! He is very knowledgeable and talented, we loved filling out his detailed worksheet asking us about which songs we’d like to have. He was very accommodating. We are so thankful we hired Ezra as out DJ and his wife Emily for our cake!

Ezra is the GO TO for a good time at your wedding. We could not have imagined having anyone else. He really took the time to know what music we wanted, what would best fit our guests to keep them on the dance floor, and really got the party going. We had multiple guests approach us through out the night saying how they loved Ezra’s music choices. He also provided cold sparklers for our entrance/exit and they really were a show stopper. Ezra was amazing. He met with us via Zoom before we signed with him. We instantly knew he was the right DJ and MC for our wedding. Ezra also offered to play the sax at cocktail hour. We had him play the sax in a duet with one of his piano students. I could hear them down from below and they were amazing. Ezra also recommended Col Vita, the quartet, which played at our ceremony. He set up sound for the ceremony and mic'ed our officiant. During the ceremony, he made sure everything ran smoothly and that our guests were aware of everything going on and made sure everyone was paying attention to all of the important events. He even did a simple swing dance lesson, which was so fun! Ezra had everyone up and dancing the entire time. I even saw my nephew dancing and joining in on the fun. It made my night when he played Tom Jones "It's not Unusual" so the groom and one of his groomswoman could do the Carlton and so many of my guests joined! My guests also went crazy when he played "I will be there for you" by the Rambrandts (we are all "Friends" fans). Thank you Ezra for being so amazing!!!!

Ezra was amazing! He was so great at perfectly blending our music together. He never missed a cue. He communicates extremely well and listens to what you want. Ezra is a lot of fun and has a lot of contagious energy that he will share with you and your guests.

Ezra was professional but personable throughout our interactions. He laid everything out clearly and made selecting our music easy and fun. I struggled to find a father daughter song for our dance together so I texted Ezra with my specifications and he happily talked with me and gave some great recommendations. He was very skilled at reading the mood of the room and played the perfect songs at our reception. You could really tell that he loves what he does!

Ezra (DJ) and Emily (baker/chef for cake) were AWESOME! Both of them were especially understanding and supportive as me and my fiancé - now husband - were navigating the past few months regarding the pandemic, and we couldn't be more pleased with how our wedding night turned out. We highly recommend E&E's DJ and cake services as we had ZERO complaints - only compliments. The cake was soooo delicious (!!) and we had a blast dancing the night away.

Quoted us at $1200 flat rate for the DJ services for our wedding without knowing anything about the wedding. $1200 for 4 hours. That is outrageous. If you are charging $1200 flat rate put that on your website. Make sure you check around, there are way better companies out there. They are not affordable. We also needed a cake and they have amazing reviews but after the DJ quote I don’t know if I want to see what a cake quote would be.

We recently hired Ezra for our wedding on Aug 1, 2020. Not only a great DJ, but also an incredible emcee and sound/light man! Ezra was amazing -- setting up sound systems in multiple rooms and locations at our wedding venue, and keeping the vibe going strong with great music and emceeing. He was extremely flexible with all the changes we had to make with Covid-regulations and stayed positive and always helpful. Everything seemed effortless to him because he has mad skills and a huge heart. He went above and beyond -- stepping up to play piano for the ceremony and even taking the time to expertly put a special music track together for a surprise flash mob I planned for the reception! I could not recommend him more.

We haven’t had our wedding yet, but I just came here to leave a review of how awesome our experience has been so far. Planning a wedding during COVID-19 is an absolute nightmare. However, my time communicating with and booking Ezra as our DJ has been an absolute pleasure. He was warm, professional, quick to get us what we needed, made us feel so at ease. I felt like I was talking to a friend. He has been, HANDS DOWN, the best vendor of ours to work with. 100% book them for their services, it will ease your mind!

We had the best time at our wedding! E and E Special Events was a part of that magic. Ezra and Emily were friendly and professional from start to finish. Emily's work with cake was amazing. The best cake I have ever tasted in my life — and it looked fantastic as well! We were planning a destination wedding and had to group all of our cake tastings during one weekend, as we lived three hours from our venue. Eating cake all weekend may sound like fun, but your stomach does tire of it! As it happened, our taste testing with E&E Special Events would be our last, and the only time that worked for our schedule and Emily was early Monday morning. Truthfully, we were quite sick of cake by then, and especially unenthusiastic about eating it for breakfast. And then we met Emily and she laid out absolutely beautiful samples, about five or so combos of many different cake flavorings, fillings, and icings. All of it, super. Fantastic. I cannot emphasize how impressed we were—we entered that tasting never wanting to see cake again and left wanting more. In fact, the cake still tasted divine (and moist!) hours later, when the Matron of Honor got to taste it, and she was still impressed with how good the cake was. She also worked with us to create a travel-themed cake that fit our wedding perfectly! We used 3d printed models of various landmarks around the world, which Emily included on the cake, tying it all together. Not only did the cake look great, but the whole cake tasted just as good as the sample we had had months earlier. Emily has a wide selection of flavors and fillings, and we were able to have two different flavors in the cake so both the bride and groom could have their favorites. We could not have been more thrilled! What an absolute delight to see and eat on our wedding day! Thank you so much Emily! This was one of the highlights of our special day!

Holy. Cupcakes. SO GOOD. Emily’s cupcakes are miraculous! We ordered a cupcake tower and a top tier for cutting and it was so perfectly crafted! It was such a shame to cut it! The cupcakes were so delicious and the frosting was a perfect match to our theme. Emily has won our hearts with her outstanding service and amazing skill at designing the most beautiful cake/cupcake combo ever! She was even able to create the smooth fondant look, but with BUTTERCREAM which made it all the more delicious. I highly recommend Emily for all your cake needs! =)

E and E Special Events were the absolute BEST! My friends and I have all stated that this was the best tasting wedding cake ever and it looked AMAZING! E and E Special Events were fantastic! We used them for both our cake and our DJ. Emily did an amazing job with the cake. I hate cake that looks pretty but is dry and tasteless. Hers not only looked beautiful (just like I wanted), but it tasted amazing! She has lots of choices when it comes to flavors (of cake, filling, and icing). We went with an almond cake and a chocolate mousse filling. Yum! Ezra was our DJ for the evening. He also was our MC, which was great! He's got a great voice, a good sense of humor, and he's not annoying! ;) He had a questionnaire for us to fill out ahead of time to get a feel for the type of genres we enjoyed. He also let us give him a list of "must plays" and "do not plays." He does a great job of reading the crowd and knowing when to end a song early, if need be. Since he knew the genres of music that we liked, he was able to move from song to song without being a slave to a pre-arranged playlist. We were so pleased with E and E Special Events! Check them out!

I was so very pleased with E&E Special Events. Emily was so sweet and outgoing. She was really easy to talk to and made exactly what my husband and I wanted. My now-husband was very pleased with how the tasting went, she really did spoil us. We were able to sit down with her, talk to her about what our dream cake was, what we wanted and we got to taste many different varieties of cakes with her different frosting options. She made our day even more special with the beautiful cake she made for us; it was perfect! Everyone at our wedding rant and raved about how beautiful and delicious it was! And to top it all off and make things even more perfect, she made us a video after she was done setting it up at the venue. Her message was very sweet and thoughtful and we were so lucky to have found E & E Special Events. I HIGHLY recommend them!

Emily did an amazing job!!! Her cinnamon cake was so good! We had to leave Virginia and move back home to Alabama but we said if she shipped cakes we would definitely order one for our anniversary. She was very kind and so professional. Would be sorry not to choose her!
