Ezra was a pleasure to work with throughout the wedding planning process. During our initial virtual meeting he immediately made us feel like comfortable and listened to. He provided us with a simple to use app that allowed us to pull songs from various platforms and decide when we wanted them played. Beyond that, he catered the reception playlist to our music preferences and we had guests dancing all night! He comes with a very professional set up, and the sound was great during our outdoor ceremony and reception. At the end of our wedding, Ezra took the time to pull us to the side for a final private dance, which meant a lot to us. We wanted everyone to have a great time and Ezra made that happen! Ezra is an amazing DJ! He made our wedding experience perfect, understanding the vibes of our guests, keeping the music and party going. Extra bonus of him playing the saxophone during cocktail hour. DJ Doah is truly incredible! E and E Special Events was recommended to us by our coordinator, and we were lucky enough to be connected with Doah. We chose the DJ Services (Enhanced Ceremony) with Wedding Reception DJ and Ceremony Coverage, which was the perfect selection to have full DJ coverage for ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception in addition to lapel microphone for the officiant and wireless microphone for reception toasts. Doah also brought two setups for our separate ceremony, cocktail, and reception areas which allowed there to be no lapse in music coverage. Doah was so personable and really understood/catered to our music vision! He was also very flexible as we continued to change music selection and wedding day timeline throughout the year of planning. Between our two zoom meetings with Doah, once when we first booked him a year out from our wedding and again a few weeks before the big day, we felt like Doah was already part of the family. Day of, Doah didn't miss a "beat" and executed all of our big song choices/transitions perfectly! He was kind enough to step out during our last private dance and join in on the grand exit; then gave us the best bar recommendation for the after party and later joined in for the late-night festivities after he cleaned up his equipment. Doah's energy, fun spirit, personal connection, and professionalism played a huge role in providing us with the perfect wedding day music. I am so grateful and honored to have had him as our DJ, and now friend.

Working with Ezra was amazing from the get go! He had a long meeting early on to explain his services and discuss my vision. He was always communicating with me and uses an app called Vibo to help organize your music and timeline. He and his wife Emily executed my vision perfectly - starting from perfect timing for my entrance into the ceremony, to saxophone during cocktail, the lights and the infectious energy at the reception, to cold sparks at our send off - Emily even helped bustle my dress! My guests are still raving about them! I cannot recommend them enough!

We enjoyed Ezra as our DJ for our wedding reception ! Ezra did an amazing job at our wedding and we can’t thank him enough!! We planned our wedding from out of state, which can be an intimidating process, but Ezra made it seamless. He set up a Zoom call with us to talk face-to-face about our wants and needs before booking and immediately set our minds at ease. After that call, there was no doubt in our minds he was going to be our DJ. The app he uses to upload our music from our streaming channel of choice was a huge help. It guided us through each section of the day and helped us not only tell him what music we wanted, but also helped us choose our songs. He did an amazing job with our ceremony music and provided a mic for our officiant. Our reception could not have been more fun and that’s all thanks to him. We had planned on doing a private last dance at the end of the night, but after seeing all of the fun our guests were having I decided to cut it out to have more time to dance with our guests. When I told him last minute he didn’t skip a beat and kept the fun going. You will have no regrets booking them!

Would give extra stars if I could! Ezra & his team were so easy to work with and excellent at what they do. Doah was who we primarily worked with for our wedding, and he & Hector were who we had on the day of the wedding. I told them to bring the party- and BOY DID THEY BRING IT! Weddings can be so stressful, and I didn't have a thing to worry about when it came to the DJs. Wonderful, amazing, show-stopping. BOOK THEM!!!!

Ezra was such a great DJ! My husband and I (and many other guests) never left the dance floor once open dancing began! We received so many compliments from our guests. He was able to read the room and play music that would bring/keep guests on the dance floor. He seamlessly transitioned between popular pop hits and popular Latin hits to keep both sides of our families engaged. He was very helpful in calming our anxiety during the planning process and the app was helpful in feeling focused and organized. Would definitely recommend!

Ezra was fantastic! If you’re looking for a DJ in the VA beach area, I highly recommend E and E special events. Ezra made the process super easy with his app and kept everyone on the dance floor like I had hoped! E and E Special Events was a preferred vendor for the Lesner Inn, and we’re so grateful to have been pointed in Ezra’s direction! During the music leading into the ceremony, I’d requested some songs that were important to our parents and grandparents. While I was tucked away during that part of the ceremony, my aunt later told me in tears that they noticed every detail and my grandparents had held hands after they recognized their song. We may have had some unusual requests but Ezra made everything flow perfectly! As for the reception… We told him we wanted a fun dance party and he delivered! We didn’t give him a long list of songs for the reception but he nailed exactly the energy we were looking for! We also had a 9-year-old guest who made a few song requests and it made her feel so special when Ezra played them! She spent the whole night dancing.

Ezra is the best!! We absolutely loved having him as our wedding DJ! He was always so helpful, understanding, and answered any and all questions I had for him. He is extremely kind and patient and was such a joy to work with and made wedding planning so much easier! We also hired him to play the saxophone for cocktail hour and he did an incredible job! Cannot recommend him enough and will always go to him if ever in need of DJ services!!

I don’t have enough words to rave about Ezra! He was GREAT! We had Ezra play the saxophone for my grand entrance and during cocktail hour, all while being the DJ. He ran the “show” for us so we did not have to stress out about any of it. Our guests loved him! He is very knowledgeable and talented, we loved filling out his detailed worksheet asking us about which songs we’d like to have. He was very accommodating. We are so thankful we hired Ezra as out DJ and his wife Emily for our cake!

Ezra is the GO TO for a good time at your wedding. We could not have imagined having anyone else. He really took the time to know what music we wanted, what would best fit our guests to keep them on the dance floor, and really got the party going. We had multiple guests approach us through out the night saying how they loved Ezra’s music choices. He also provided cold sparklers for our entrance/exit and they really were a show stopper. Ezra and his team were the best! We were hosting a Welcome Party for a wedding weekend, and everyone said that they wished that Ezra was playing at the wedding reception as well! So enthusiastic and able to incorporate all of the ideas which we had for the playlist, as well as playing wonderful music of his own! His sax playing is second to none! Fantastic! Ezra was the BEST!! We are so happy with how our wedding turned out and it would not have been as awesome as it was without Ezra as our DJ. He was super flexible and easy to plan with. Ezra was amazing. He met with us via Zoom before we signed with him. We instantly knew he was the right DJ and MC for our wedding. Ezra also offered to play the sax at cocktail hour. We had him play the sax in a duet with one of his piano students. I could hear them down from below and they were amazing. Ezra also recommended Col Vita, the quartet, which played at our ceremony. He set up sound for the ceremony and mic'ed our officiant. During the ceremony, he made sure everything ran smoothly and that our guests were aware of everything going on and made sure everyone was paying attention to all of the important events. He even did a simple swing dance lesson, which was so fun! Ezra had everyone up and dancing the entire time. I even saw my nephew dancing and joining in on the fun. It made my night when he played Tom Jones "It's not Unusual" so the groom and one of his groomswoman could do the Carlton and so many of my guests joined! My guests also went crazy when he played "I will be there for you" by the Rambrandts (we are all "Friends" fans). Thank you Ezra for being so amazing!!!!

Ezra was amazing! He was so great at perfectly blending our music together. He never missed a cue. He communicates extremely well and listens to what you want. Ezra is a lot of fun and has a lot of contagious energy that he will share with you and your guests.

Ezra was professional but personable throughout our interactions. He laid everything out clearly and made selecting our music easy and fun. I struggled to find a father daughter song for our dance together so I texted Ezra with my specifications and he happily talked with me and gave some great recommendations. Ezra (DJ) and Emily (baker/chef for cake) were AWESOME! Both of them were especially understanding and supportive as me and my fiancé - now husband - were navigating the past few months regarding the pandemic, and we couldn't be more pleased with how our wedding night turned out. We recently hired Ezra for our wedding on Aug 1, 2020. Not only a great DJ, but also an incredible emcee and sound/light man! Ezra was amazing -- setting up sound systems in multiple rooms and locations at our wedding venue, and keeping the vibe going strong with great music and emceeing. He was extremely flexible with all the changes we had to make with Covid-regulations and stayed positive and always helpful. Everything seemed effortless to him because he has mad skills and a huge heart. He went above and beyond -- stepping up to play piano for the ceremony and even taking the time to expertly put a special music track together for a surprise flash mob I planned for the reception! I could not recommend him more.

We haven’t had our wedding yet, but I just came here to leave a review of how awesome our experience has been so far. Planning a wedding during COVID-19 is an absolute nightmare. However, my time communicating with and booking Ezra as our DJ has been an absolute pleasure. He was warm, professional, quick to get us what we needed, made us feel so at ease. I felt like I was talking to a friend. He has been, HANDS DOWN, the best vendor of ours to work with. 100% book them for their services, it will ease your mind!

We had the best time at our wedding! E and E Special Events was a part of that magic. Ezra and Emily were friendly and professional from start to finish. Emily's work with cake was amazing. It was absolutely delicious and incredibly beautiful! Ezra's skills as the DJ were just what we needed. He kept the atmosphere alive with he sound, lighting, and music on point! The best cake I have ever tasted in my life — and it looked fantastic as well! We were planning a destination wedding and had to group all of our cake tastings during one weekend, as we lived three hours from our venue. Eating cake all weekend may sound like fun, but your stomach does tire of it! As it happened, our taste testing with E&E Special Events would be our last, and the only time that worked for our schedule and Emily was early Monday morning. Truthfully, we were quite sick of cake by then, and especially unenthusiastic about eating it for breakfast. And then we met Emily and she laid out absolutely beautiful samples, about five or so combos of many different cake flavorings, fillings, and icings. All of it, super. Fantastic. I cannot emphasize how impressed we were—we entered that tasting never wanting to see cake again and left wanting more. In fact, the cake still tasted divine (and moist!) hours later, when the Matron of Honor got to taste it, and she was still impressed with how good the cake was. She also worked with us to create a travel-themed cake that fit our wedding perfectly! We used 3d printed models of various landmarks around the world, which Emily included on the cake, tying it all together. Not only did the cake look great, but the whole cake tasted just as good as the sample we had had months earlier. Emily has a wide selection of flavors and fillings, and we were able to have two different flavors in the cake so both the bride and groom could have their favorites. We could not have been more thrilled! What an absolute delight to see and eat on our wedding day! Thank you so much Emily! This was one of the highlights of our special day!

Holy. Cupcakes. SO GOOD. Emily’s cupcakes are miraculous! We ordered a cupcake tower and a top tier for cutting and it was so perfectly crafted! It was such a shame to cut it! The cupcakes were so delicious and the frosting was a perfect match to our theme. Emily has won our hearts with her outstanding service and amazing skill at designing the most beautiful cake/cupcake combo ever! She was even able to create the smooth fondant look, but with BUTTERCREAM which made it all the more delicious. I highly recommend Emily for all your cake needs! =)

E and E Special Events were the absolute BEST! My friends and I have all stated that this was the best tasting wedding cake ever and it looked AMAZING! E and E Special Events were fantastic! We used them for both our cake and our DJ. Emily did an amazing job with the cake. I hate cake that looks pretty but is dry and tasteless. Hers not only looked beautiful (just like I wanted), but it tasted amazing! She has lots of choices when it comes to flavors (of cake, filling, and icing). We went with an almond cake and a chocolate mousse filling. Yum! Ezra was our DJ for the evening. He also was our MC, which was great! He's got a great voice, a good sense of humor, and he's not annoying! ;) He had a questionnaire for us to fill out ahead of time to get a feel for the type of genres we enjoyed. He also let us give him a list of "must plays" and "do not plays." He does a great job of reading the crowd and knowing when to end a song early, if need be. Since he knew the genres of music that we liked, he was able to move from song to song without being a slave to a pre-arranged playlist. We were so pleased with E and E Special Events! Check them out!

I was so very pleased with E&E Special Events. Emily was so sweet and outgoing. She was really easy to talk to and made exactly what my husband and I wanted. My now-husband was very pleased with how the tasting went, she really did spoil us. We were able to sit down with her, talk to her about what our dream cake was, what we wanted and we got to taste many different varieties of cakes with her different frosting options. She made our day even more special with the beautiful cake she made for us; it was perfect! Everyone at our wedding rant and raved about how beautiful and delicious it was! And to top it all off and make things even more perfect, she made us a video after she was done setting it up at the venue. Her message was very sweet and thoughtful and we were so lucky to have found E & E Special Events. I HIGHLY recommend them!

Emily did an amazing job!!! Her cinnamon cake was so good! We had to leave Virginia and move back home to Alabama but we said if she shipped cakes we would definitely order one for our anniversary. She was very kind and so professional. Would be sorry not to choose her!

Extremely polite and professional. At the tasting we were able to take our time and she wrote down all the Flavors we liked in case we forgot. The cake was beautiful and delicious it was so moist. I loved that each layer we could select a different flavor. The details and colors were made exactly as we wanted. We received so many compliments on the cake and recommended her to a few friends.

E and E created exactly what we wanted for a great price and most of all the cake was sooooo good! The cake was very moist and flavorful. We wanted the naked look with just some fruit on the perimeter of the tiers. We are so pleased by her work and will definitely use her for our baby shower cake when that day comes!

Mrs. Emily is a wonderful Cake Creator! she did my wedding cake for my wedding in August, and not only did she do an amazing job perfecting exactly what I asked for, but the cake was DELICIOUSLY THE BEST TASTING WEDDING CAKE I HAVE EVER HAD. Also, Emily was very professional, upon my cake tasting she gave me great portions of what I was testing. I told he from the start how I hated buttercream, but to my surprise she has definitely changed my mind. her butter cream is the best. the cakes are amazingly moist, and she was very honest and understanding with what I wanted and how I wanted it. To make her an even better baker and business person, I saw her at my wedding ceremony, and she was just so happy for me and hugged me before I left. Almost 3 months later, people are still talking about how great her cake and cupcakes were. so with that being known, I will continue to use E& E special events for all future occasions.

Emily and Ezra were wonderful! Emily's bridal cake was exactly what we asked for: unusual, beautiful and delicious! And Ezra was extremely helpful even outside of his DJ duties - he saw what was going on at various times around the wedding and stepped in to help wherever he could. I highly recommend them (and will be driving to Virginia Beach to purchase all of my cakes from here one!).

E&E special events is your one stop shop for cake and dj services! Both Emily and Ezra are extremely professional but also very easy to get along with. They both listened to what my husband and I wanted and delivered 10 times what we expected! The cake was absolutely fantastic my guests texted me all night talking about it. Ezra did an amazing job as the dj, he covered everything we wanted and his packet he gives to the bride and groom made it super easy there were thing I didn't even think about that were on there and it helped my reception run smoothly. Our ceremony was on the beach and he hooked us up with an acoustic guitar player to play for us and it worked so well for the feel we wanted us and our guests to experience! Also their prices were great. In my research to find the perfect dj and culinary artist for our wedding I noticed a lot of companies were CRAZY expensive but Ezra and Emily couldn't be beat and they definitely went above and beyond and made our day everything we wanted and more!!

This service was great. I couldn’t have asked for a better tasting better cake. It was made as beautifully as I requested. She paid very close attention to detail and was prompt delivery. I would definitely recommend, everyone loved the cake.

Emily did an AMAZING job with our beach themed wedding cake. She decorated the cake so beautifully and just how we discussed. It looked even more beautiful than I imagined and tasted delicious. Emily did an amazing job with our cake. It was a fancy naked cake (also known as semi-dressed). It came out looking exactly like the pictures I gave her and tasted amazing. She was really easy to work with and the only tricky part was picking our flavor since all of the samples she gave us we so good. Great prices and great service, you wont regret going with her.

Emily did an awesome job on my wedding cake and cupcakes! She is very dedicated to her work. We chose various flavors for our cake and cupcakes, which was great because most places only let you have few flavors without mixing and matching. Guest loved how moist and fresh it was! Also, I didn't even notice until I was looking at pictures that I forgot to give Emily my cake topper (glad I did not spend too much on it, hehe). She was able to find on that work will with the cake. She totally saved me on that! I would recommend Emily to do your wedding cake/cupcakes!

We tried quite a few cakes before deciding on E&E. We are extremely glad we did. Everyone raves about the cake for days after the event. Plus, the DJ services were on point and kept our very musically diverse crowd up and dancing all night.

The cake was just as amazing as I dreamed it would be. We received so many compliments on how beautiful it looked and how good it tasted. Emily and Ezra provide excellent services. The cake was beautiful and delicious. Ezra is an outstanding DJ. The attention to detail provided by this couple is outstanding. Emily created the most beautiful cake and cupcakes for my wedding this past weekend!! I sent her a photo of my dress and asked that she use it as inspiration for our top tier and she nailed it! She specially made a stand to display the mini cupcakes which she airbrushed with our wedding colors and edible glitter! The guests were amazed by the variety of flavors and fillings they got. Not only was everything beautiful and delicious but Emily was very easy to work with and took my ideas to create something really special and memorable for our wedding.

Emily was great! The cake was beautiful and so yummy!! We talked about what i was looking for in the cake design and when i saw it as i walked out with my Dad the cake took my breath away! It was beautiful and more than what i was expecting! Thank you for the amazing beautiful wedding cake!

If I could leave a 10 star rating for Emily (E and E Special Events), I would do it in a heart beat! From the day we first spoke with Emily about possibly baking our wedding cake, through the AMAZING tasting (my now husbands absolute favorite part of wedding planning), to the follow through and final product on our wedding day... I could not imagine a more professional, compassionate individual to work with. Not only was our wedding cake GORGEOUS, but we had 5 tiers with 4 different varieties in cake and filling flavors and each one was raved about by our guests. I cannot wait to see the professional photos of our cake! In addition to our wedding cake, Emily found the time to perfect my idea for my husbands grooms cake for our rehearsal dinner the evening before. She was so easy to consult with, replied quickly to questions/concerns I had, and offered a lot of guidance and support in decision making. I would recommend E and E Special Events for any of your baking needs, and look forward to working with Emily again in the future!

We worked with Emily and she was professional, courteous, personable, and our wedding cake was amazing! She was also the only baker we came across that offered marble cake which my husband loves. Her fillings are amazing as well! We can't wait to eat our frozen top but we may just end up ordering one! Definitely recommend her for wedding cakes and cakes in general!

We hired E&E not only for our cake but also for our ceremony and reception dj. We were NOT disappointed! Emily and Ezra were easy-going and wonderful to work with. Emily's cake was exactly what we chose, delicious, and so moist that it was still fabulous the next day. Ezra'so awesome since of humor and great musicall taste really took our reception from just lunch to a dance party. I would plan another wedding just to be able to hire these two again!

We hired E and E to prepare a wedding cake topper and a custom cupcake stand with an assortment of cupcakes for our wedding. We worked with Emily, and she did an amazing job! First and foremost her cake and cupcakes were delicious--we sampled 11 vendors in Virginia Beach and hers are the best! She was very professional, and met with us in advance to explain everything. We had a tasting where we tried all the fillings and flavors, and she patently walked us through everything and answered all our questions. She also showed us the types of custom stands she could make. She worked with us by phone and email to determine a good look for the individual cupcakes as we got closer to the wedding date. She made the process very easy. On the wedding day, she arrived well in advance, set everything up (which I imagine was tricky, because it suddenly started raining after the ceremony so she had to move the setup indoors just after setting it up). We would definitely recommend working with E and E Special Events!

I called E and E Special Events to surprise my wife with a smaller replica of our wedding cake for our 10th Anniversary. They made the cake look identical to the one that we had at our reception. It was a 2 tier cake and I went with 2 different flavors for each tier. One was a red velvet and the other was an almond with fruit filling. I'm 41 years old and have been to a ton of weddings. This cake was probably the best tasting cake that I've ever had. We, of course, shared it with multiple friends and family who agreed. I only wish that I had found E and E Special Events to do our cake 10 years ago. I would recommend them to anyone looking for a beautiful cake, that tastes delicious, and for a great price.

The cake Emily made for us was PERFECT!! Not only did it look amazing, but it tasted PHENOMENAL! It might have been the best part of the entire wedding! We ordered a 3-tier cake big enough for 100 people, and each tier was a different flavor: carrot, strawberry, and almond. We had about 80-85 people show up, and the cake was practically gone! We only had a couple pieces to take home because we told the caterers beforehand that we wanted a few slices set aside. And we didn't even get to taste the carrot because it was gone before we got the chance! Our guests couldn't get enough! If we're still living in the area for our 1 year anniversary, we're definitely getting Emily to make us an anniversary cake. And I'm recommending her to EVERYONE!

Emily is in one word "AMAZING."She is very professional and talented,works out of her home,but provides the services of a "big box" wedding cake caterer.Her prices are very reasonable,and she estimates more than less on the guest count--a good thing when the family wants to take home some extras,yum!!She offers free taste tests--6 cake flavors and at least 6+ filling/icing flavors.They all were sooo good;it was hard to decide--we chose a champagne cake with almond buttercream filling/icing for 130 guests.She will also accommodate any flavor/filling/decorations that you desire and is prompt to reply,especially if you have any changes.This is a vendor you can count on for flavors, price, responsiveness,and flexibility.Thank you, Emily, for making my daughter's dream wedding cake a reality!!It was absolutely delicious!!God Bless, Jo Chapman
