E and E Special Events outdid themselves with our wedding cake! Emily delivered exactly what I asked for and the flavors were absolutely AMAZING! We had so many comments about how delicious the cake was from our wedding guests. I knew from the moment we did the tasting that the cake was going to be one of the best parts of our wedding. Emily was extremely professional and so pleasant to work with. I can't wait for our one year anniversary so I can have some more of her cake! I highly recommend E and E Special Events!

Mrs. Emily was very nice. Very flexible which scheduling since we were coming from out of state. She very professional and always had great ideas to add to your cake or gave advice about what filling will be suited for any cake. I would highly recommend her company for any wedding.

Emily is AMAZING! First of all let me say that my husband and I had an extremely difficult time even picking a flavor for our wedding cake because every single flavor we tried at our tasting was amazing! It literally took us months to decide. The cake she made for us was absolutely beautiful it was blown away. We had four tiers for 150 people and my husband and I barely got to have any at our wedding because the guests devoured it. We were luck to walk away with any at all. Emily was so nice throughout the whole process. We emailed back and forth constantly and she always responded right away. She is very helpful, professional, and when you are with her in person, you can tell how passionate she is about her work and that she dedicated to making sure your cake is nothing less than amazing. I am so happy I hired her and I highly recommend her to anybody!

Oh my. Where do I begin? Emily is ABSOLUTELY amazing. I had a not so good idea initially for the presentation of my cake and Emily was very professional when she expressed her concerns. She was very helpful when trying to figure out how to get what I wanted in a manner in which she felt comfortable. The end result was amazing and it ended up shaping the theme for my wedding and it was absolutely perfect. She also made my grooms cake which was an 18 wheeler truck. My husband is a truck driver and he was speechless when he saw it. He absolutely loved it. I was completely satisfied with Emily.

The best cake I have ever tasted in my life — and it looked fantastic as well! We were planning a destination wedding and had to group all of our cake tastings during one weekend, as we lived three hours from our venue. Eating cake all weekend may sound like fun, but your stomach does tire of it! As it happened, our taste testing with E&E Special Events would be our last, and the only time that worked for our schedule and Emily was early Monday morning. Truthfully, we were quite sick of cake by then, and especially unenthusiastic about eating it for breakfast. And then we met Emily and she laid out absolutely beautiful samples, about five or so combos of many different cake flavorings, fillings, and icings. All of it, super. Fantastic. I cannot emphasize how impressed we were—we entered that tasting never wanting to see cake again and left wanting more. In fact, the cake still tasted divine (and moist!) hours later, when the Matron of Honor got to taste it, and she was still impressed with how good the cake was. She also worked with us to create a travel-themed cake that fit our wedding perfectly! We used 3d printed models of various landmarks around the world, which Emily included on the cake, tying it all together. Not only did the cake look great, but the whole cake tasted just as good as the sample we had had months earlier. Emily has a wide selection of flavors and fillings, and we were able to have two different flavors in the cake so both the bride and groom could have their favorites. We could not have been more thrilled! What an absolute delight to see and eat on our wedding day! Thank you so much Emily! This was one of the highlights of our special day!

Holy. Cupcakes. SO GOOD. Emily’s cupcakes are miraculous! We ordered a cupcake tower and a top tier for cutting and it was so perfectly crafted! It was such a shame to cut it! The cupcakes were so delicious and the frosting was a perfect match to our theme. Emily has won our hearts with her outstanding service and amazing skill at designing the most beautiful cake/cupcake combo ever! She was even able to create the smooth fondant look, but with BUTTERCREAM which made it all the more delicious. I highly recommend Emily for all your cake needs! =)

E and E Special Events were the absolute BEST! My friends and I have all stated that this was the best tasting wedding cake ever and it looked AMAZING! E and E Special Events were fantastic! We used them for both our cake and our DJ. Emily did an amazing job with the cake. I hate cake that looks pretty but is dry and tasteless. Hers not only looked beautiful (just like I wanted), but it tasted amazing! She has lots of choices when it comes to flavors (of cake, filling, and icing). We went with an almond cake and a chocolate mousse filling. Yum! Ezra was our DJ for the evening. He also was our MC, which was great! He's got a great voice, a good sense of humor, and he's not annoying! ;) He had a questionnaire for us to fill out ahead of time to get a feel for the type of genres we enjoyed. He also let us give him a list of "must plays" and "do not plays." He does a great job of reading the crowd and knowing when to end a song early, if need be. Since he knew the genres of music that we liked, he was able to move from song to song without being a slave to a pre-arranged playlist. We were so pleased with E and E Special Events! I was so very pleased with E&E Special Events. Emily was so sweet and outgoing. She was really easy to talk to and made exactly what my husband and I wanted. My now-husband was very pleased with how the tasting went, she really did spoil us. We were able to sit down with her, talk to her about what our dream cake was, what we wanted and we got to taste many different varieties of cakes with her different frosting options. She made our day even more special with the beautiful cake she made for us; it was perfect! Everyone at our wedding rant and raved about how beautiful and delicious it was! And to top it all off and make things even more perfect, she made us a video after she was done setting it up at the venue. Her message was very sweet and thoughtful and we were so lucky to have found E & E Special Events. I HIGHLY recommend them!

Emily did an amazing job!!! Her cinnamon cake was so good! We had to leave Virginia and move back home to Alabama but we said if she shipped cakes we would definitely order one for our anniversary. She was very kind and so professional. Would be sorry not to choose her!

Extremely polite and professional. At the tasting we were able to take our time and she wrote down all the Flavors we liked in case we forgot. The cake was beautiful and delicious it was so moist. I loved that each layer we could select a different flavor. The details and colors were made exactly as we wanted. We received so many compliments on the cake and recommended her to a few friends.

E and E created exactly what we wanted for a great price and most of all the cake was sooooo good! The cake was very moist and flavorful. We wanted the naked look with just some fruit on the perimeter of the tiers. We are so pleased by her work and will definitely use her for our baby shower cake when that day comes!

Emily did and amazing job with our wedding cake! I gave her two different pictures and asked her to make that into one cake. She didn’t seem daunted at all and the result was amazing. Not only was it beautiful but it was delicious!

Mrs. Emily is a wonderful Cake Creator! she did my wedding cake for my wedding in August, and not only did she do an amazing job perfecting exactly what I asked for, but the cake was DELICIOUSLY THE BEST TASTING WEDDING CAKE I HAVE EVER HAD. Also, Emily was very professional, upon my cake tasting she gave me great portions of what I was testing. I told he from the start how I hated buttercream, but to my surprise she has definitely changed my mind. her butter cream is the best. the cakes are amazingly moist, and she was very honest and understanding with what I wanted and how I wanted it. To make her an even better baker and business person, I saw her at my wedding ceremony, and she was just so happy for me and hugged me before I left. Almost 3 months later, people are still talking about how great her cake and cupcakes were. so with that being known, I will continue to use E& E special events for all future occasions.

Emily and Ezra were wonderful! Emily's bridal cake was exactly what we asked for: unusual, beautiful and delicious! And Ezra was extremely helpful even outside of his DJ duties - he saw what was going on at various times around the wedding and stepped in to help wherever he could. I highly recommend them (and will be driving to Virginia Beach to purchase all of my cakes from here one!).

Emily and Ezra from E and E Special Events were absolutely amazing to work with for our wedding! We used both the cake service and DJ service and loved both. The cake was so delicious! And Ezra was absolutely awesome at our wedding as the DJ. He worked with the staff of the venue to make sure everything went perfectly!

E&E special events is your one stop shop for cake and dj services! Both Emily and Ezra are extremely professional but also very easy to get along with. They both listened to what my husband and I wanted and delivered 10 times what we expected! The cake was absolutely fantastic my guests texted me all night talking about it. Ezra did an amazing job as the dj, he covered everything we wanted and his packet he gives to the bride and groom made it super easy there were thing I didn't even think about that were on there and it helped my reception run smoothly. Our ceremony was on the beach and he hooked us up with an acoustic guitar player to play for us and it worked so well for the feel we wanted us and our guests to experience! Also their prices were great. In my research to find the perfect dj and culinary artist for our wedding I noticed a lot of companies were CRAZY expensive but Ezra and Emily couldn't be beat and they definitely went above and beyond and made our day everything we wanted and more!!

This service was great. I couldn’t have asked for a better tasting better cake. It was made as beautifully as I requested. She paid very close attention to detail and was prompt delivery. I would definitely recommend, everyone loved the cake.

Emily did an AMAZING job with our beach themed wedding cake. She decorated the cake so beautifully and just how we discussed. It looked even more beautiful than I imagined and tasted delicious. Emily did an amazing job with our cake. It was a fancy naked cake (also known as semi-dressed). It came out looking exactly like the pictures I gave her and tasted amazing. She was really easy to work with and the only tricky part was picking our flavor since all of the samples she gave us we so good. Great prices and great service, you wont regret going with her.

Emily did an awesome job on my wedding cake and cupcakes! She is very dedicated to her work. We chose various flavors for our cake and cupcakes, which was great because most places only let you have few flavors without mixing and matching. Guest loved how moist and fresh it was! Also, I didn't even notice until I was looking at pictures that I forgot to give Emily my cake topper (glad I did not spend too much on it, hehe). She was able to find on that work will with the cake. She totally saved me on that! I would recommend Emily to do your wedding cake/cupcakes!

We tried quite a few cakes before deciding on E&E. We are extremely glad we did. Everyone raves about the cake for days after the event. Plus, the DJ services were on point and kept our very musically diverse crowd up and dancing all night.

Emily created the most beautiful cake and cupcakes for my wedding this past weekend!! I sent her a photo of my dress and asked that she use it as inspiration for our top tier and she nailed it! She specially made a stand to display the mini cupcakes which she airbrushed with our wedding colors and edible glitter! The guests were amazed by the variety of flavors and fillings they got. Not only was everything beautiful and delicious but Emily was very easy to work with and took my ideas to create something really special and memorable for our wedding.

If I could leave a 10 star rating for Emily (E and E Special Events), I would do it in a heart beat! From the day we first spoke with Emily about possibly baking our wedding cake, through the AMAZING tasting (my now husbands absolute favorite part of wedding planning), to the follow through and final product on our wedding day... I could not imagine a more professional, compassionate individual to work with. Not only was our wedding cake GORGEOUS, but we had 5 tiers with 4 different varieties in cake and filling flavors and each one was raved about by our guests. I cannot wait to see the professional photos of our cake! In addition to our wedding cake, Emily found the time to perfect my idea for my husbands grooms cake for our rehearsal dinner the evening before. She was so easy to consult with, replied quickly to questions/concerns I had, and offered a lot of guidance and support in decision making. I would recommend E and E Special Events for any of your baking needs, and look forward to working with Emily again in the future!

We worked with Emily and she was professional, courteous, personable, and our wedding cake was amazing! She was also the only baker we came across that offered marble cake which my husband loves. Her fillings are amazing as well! We can't wait to eat our frozen top but we may just end up ordering one! Definitely recommend her for wedding cakes and cakes in general!

We hired E&E not only for our cake but also for our ceremony and reception dj. We were NOT disappointed! Emily and Ezra were easy-going and wonderful to work with. Emily's cake was exactly what we chose, delicious, and so moist that it was still fabulous the next day. Ezra'so awesome since of humor and great musicall taste really took our reception from just lunch to a dance party. I would plan another wedding just to be able to hire these two again!

We hired E and E to prepare a wedding cake topper and a custom cupcake stand with an assortment of cupcakes for our wedding. We worked with Emily, and she did an amazing job! First and foremost her cake and cupcakes were delicious--we sampled 11 vendors in Virginia Beach and hers are the best! She was very professional, and met with us in advance to explain everything. We had a tasting where we tried all the fillings and flavors, and she patently walked us through everything and answered all our questions. She also showed us the types of custom stands she could make. She worked with us by phone and email to determine a good look for the individual cupcakes as we got closer to the wedding date. She made the process very easy. On the wedding day, she arrived well in advance, set everything up (which I imagine was tricky, because it suddenly started raining after the ceremony so she had to move the setup indoors just after setting it up). We would definitely recommend working with E and E Special Events!

I called E and E Special Events to surprise my wife with a smaller replica of our wedding cake for our 10th Anniversary. They made the cake look identical to the one that we had at our reception. It was a 2 tier cake and I went with 2 different flavors for each tier. One was a red velvet and the other was an almond with fruit filling. I'm 41 years old and have been to a ton of weddings. This cake was probably the best tasting cake that I've ever had. We, of course, shared it with multiple friends and family who agreed. I only wish that I had found E and E Special Events to do our cake 10 years ago. I would recommend them to anyone looking for a beautiful cake, that tastes delicious, and for a great price.

The cake Emily made for us was PERFECT!! Not only did it look amazing, but it tasted PHENOMENAL! It might have been the best part of the entire wedding! We ordered a 3-tier cake big enough for 100 people, and each tier was a different flavor: carrot, strawberry, and almond. We had about 80-85 people show up, and the cake was practically gone! We only had a couple pieces to take home because we told the caterers beforehand that we wanted a few slices set aside. And we didn't even get to taste the carrot because it was gone before we got the chance! Our guests couldn't get enough! If we're still living in the area for our 1 year anniversary, we're definitely getting Emily to make us an anniversary cake. And I'm recommending her to EVERYONE!

Emily is in one word "AMAZING."She is very professional and talented,works out of her home,but provides the services of a "big box" wedding cake caterer.Her prices are very reasonable,and she estimates more than less on the guest count--a good thing when the family wants to take home some extras,yum!!She offers free taste tests--6 cake flavors and at least 6+ filling/icing flavors.They all were sooo good;it was hard to decide--we chose a champagne cake with almond buttercream filling/icing for 130 guests.She will also accommodate any flavor/filling/decorations that you desire and is prompt to reply,especially if you have any changes.This is a vendor you can count on for flavors, price, responsiveness,and flexibility.Thank you, Emily, for making my daughter's dream wedding cake a reality!!It was absolutely delicious!!God Bless, Jo Chapman

The cake and service were great! She gave me exactly what I wanted and was always willing to help when I couldn't make up my mind. The tasting is what really made up my mind. The food was great but she was soooo professional. Thanks Emily!

Emily was amazing! she worked with us every step of the way to make sure we were happy with our cake. She even called to ask if it would be ok to make some minor last minute changes to make the cake look better! She also worked with me to create a flavor I wanted even though it wasn't in her normal flavors. Plus (my husband's favorite) she doesn't require the use of fondant. Her icing was delicious. She does offer fondant so don't be worried if your dream cake requires it! Great vendor.

E & E Events were great, she made a beautiful cake and it tasted amazing. I especially liked the peanut butter and chocolate layer. She was kind enough to do two tastings for us. I am not a fan of fondant and used only buttercream icing, a big plus. She was very agreeable the entire time with great prices. I recommend this company.

We worked with Emily for cake and Ezra for DJ. Both were fabulous! Quick response to both phone and email was helpful when planning from afar, and they helped us figure out what we wanted when we had no idea! I had a small wedding ceremony with about 20 people and wanted a simple wedding cake. I sent emails out in early September and Emily with E and E Special Events replied. We communicated several times a week via email. Any question I asked she always responded in a timely manner. She asked what I was looking for and I told her. Found the perfect cake on her website. Emily was very professional. She delivered the cake the morning of the party and it looked wonderful. And it tasted even better, very moist and flavorful. By far the best cake I have had. I would definitely recommend her services for any upcoming event.

I cannot give enough thanks to E and E special Events for making my daughter's wedding a huge success. Emily is a talented baker and her cake was a delicious as it was beautiful. In our cake testing session she offered us over six different cakes and over twelve different icing combinations. It was so hard to pick the right combination - but Emily listened to my daughter and son-in-law and made a cake just for them. Her husband Ezra was our DJ. He also played the saxophone during the dinner hour. He is a very talented musician and our guests loved the live music. He kept the party going and kept things on schedule.
