I very highly recommend E Johnston Designs as your florist vendor for your wedding! Flowers were not a top priority for my wedding, and I considered SO many options when deciding what to do for florals (DIY, silk, rentals, a combination of these things) because our budget was very limited. After hours and days of research, my coordinator finally talked me into setting up an appointment with Elaine and I am extremely thankful she did. When I first met with Elaine, she was incredibly kind and completely understood our budget constraints. She never made me feel like I needed to spend more than I wanted/budgeted for. In fact, she saved me a ton of money with different tips and tricks of the trade. She was well-organized and professional! I truly appreciated how she quoted me flowers compared to other florists. Her quotes include pictures of the flowers you are getting - which is great if you are a visual gal like me. She executed her setup perfectly, and I felt like I was provided exactly what was agreed upon. My flowers were absolutely beautiful and I would 100% book with her again! *Please keep in mind that if you are planning a wedding and florals are not a top priority or you are working with a limited budget, your expectations should match this. Elaine thanked me several times for not having unrealistic expectations of her work with a tight budget!

If you are looking for a professional florist that caters to the client's needs, look no further and start booking your flower needs with Ms. Elaine. When we came to book an appointment with her, she gave us different options as to what type of colors and designs we can use for our wedding. We personally don't know a lot regarding flowers but she explained to us what colors would match up with the designs we have in mind. She also provided us some options in terms of flower budget for our wedding. If they ask us who will we recommend for a florist, I will definitely recommend her for we had a great experience working with her. She brought our flowers right on time too!

Elaine took my scrambled mess of ideas and turned them into something beautiful. All I knew was that I wanted a waterfall bouquet, and I liked blue and white roses. She took that small sentence and crafted me an array of bouquets, boutonnieres, and so many beautiful fine detailed touches. She also did it all under budget! She recommended blue thistle instead of blue roses as a way to drastically cut my costs, and I absolutely loved the idea of them in my bouquet. She made everything so beautiful while being cost effective. I dreaded the idea of buying centerpieces for the tables, as I saw them a waste, but she designed a super simple yet elegant ring of foliage and blue baby's breath that was endlessly complimented on. My bridal bouquet was also everything I could have dreamed of. A waterfall bouquet with large white roses, blue thistle and blue baby's breath, tied together with star leaves and soft green draping fern. Elaine's designs are always stellar and she put my desires first while saving me money where she could. There’s no better florist you could find here in Houston.

When I first scheduled my consultation with Elaine, she responded quickly and got back to my emails. She was the only florist who asked for a budget and told me what I could do to stay within budget. The day of the wedding she brought my vision to life! Everything was gorgeous and I could not have asked for a better florist!

Elaine and her team went above and beyond to make our day what we hoped for. Elaine is quick to respond, very kind and reasonable, and more than willing to help in any way she can! I highly recommend Elaine and her team for a special event.

Elaine and her team were absolutely amazing. From the start, I gave her my budget and vision and she exceeded all expectations. I could not have asked for a better florist to help with my wedding and no matter what style or budget you have, Elaine is going to take great care of you!

EJ designs was definitely one of my best choices when planning my wedding. She works with her customers. I had a very specific and unique image in mind, one that I wasn’t sure I’d get to pull off at the chapel, but she made it happen! And I got my full damage deposit back despite all the hanging vines and such. She was really able to make the overflowing overgrown garden atmosphere come to life. She took time to meet with me multiple times to go over “my vision,” she’d go through my pinterest and ask me what I liked about each photo. She’s direct, honest and kind which I really appreciated, because I had no doubt that she meant what she said. She was very professional and went above and beyond on everything she did. She worked with me even when I changed my mind. She was incredibly well organized, which gave me a great sense of peace. She thinks through all the processes and steps. The flowers felt generous even for the price I paid. Every time I think of my wedding flowers and EJ designs I can’t help but smile. Not everything worked out the way I had hoped at my wedding, but the flowers were one thing that worked out perfectly. Can’t say enough good things about her and her work!

The flowers for our wedding were so beautiful! They exceeded expectations and I am so appreciative of everything they put together for us! Elaine is a wonderful florist to work with! During our first meeting, we discussed my wedding vision and the overall budget. She is very easy to work with and very responsive to questions we had. When my bouquet was revealed on my wedding day and I was in Awe! The Bridal Bouquet, centerpieces, and ceremony/reception decor was beautiful. I received so many compliments during my wedding. Elaine was such a fantastic person to work with! She is very open and straightforward about how things will look and the costs. She even gave multiple cost-saving options! Following along in her program was cool as she built all florals for our wedding. I was able to see where each cost was coming from!

COULD NOT RECOMMEND ELAINE MORE. I reached out to Elaine a few weeks before my wedding. She responded incredibly fast at all hours of the night, squeezed me in along with all her other weddings, was so much fun to work with, and helped me achieve my vision of what what would look best within my budget. She even texted me a few days before my wedding to ask if there was ANYTHING else I needed (And was so accommodating as I did have last minute adds!) Day of - She showed up, set up, and came after to clean up as soon as the event was over. I didn't have to worry about a thing, as she made my entire wedding gorgeous. She's a wonderful human. We couldn't have had more fun with a better florist, and am so thankful for her going above and beyond for us through every step. You need Elaine for your wedding!

For our wedding we went with the all-inclusive package through Townhall Texas, which utilized E. Johnston Designs as the florist. I was so impressed by Elaine and the magic she can work with flowers. It was a pleasure to meet with her one-on-one to go over what my vision was, which she was easily about to make happen within my budget. If you’re looking for a florist run, don’t walk, to book E. Johnston designs!

We opted for in all inclusive package through Townhall Texas for our venue, and could not have been more thrilled with everything Elaine did from my bouquet to boutonnières to babies breath for our Grandaughter’s hair. We had one meeting in person and one on the phone, I took my ideas and she improved on them dramatically and even came in under budget!! I cannot say enough great things about her. She is personable,reasonable and kind. I’m so glad she is the preferred vendor for floral arrangements through this venue. It was a perfect day. Thank you Elaine!!

I cannot say enough amazing things about Elaine and her company. She’s absolutely incredible every step of the way! She made my flower dreams come true and beyond and the arrangements were the talk of the whole shindig! The flowers were stunning along with the decor and her and her staff were so efficient and even helped flip the room from ceremony to reception. RUN, don’t walk, to book her for anything and everything!

For our wedding I had a random plant that I wanted everywhere (Eucalyptus) and they made it happen! Anything that we wanted for our flowers they were able to accommodate! When we didn’t know what to do, they were able to give recommendations that we LOVED. On the day of, everything was perfect! The reception was beautiful and the bouquets were perfect!

If I could give Elaine and the E team 10 starts, I would! I can not even think of where to being in writing this review. I was blown away on my wedding day and almost in tears seeing how she captured my vision. On top of that, Elaine was absolutely wonderful to work with. She listened to all my ideas and helped me cut cost- to stay in budget. She touched base with me throughout the process and was so easy to talk to and work with. On the very top of my vendor list for sure. If you are having a special event or wedding, you won't go wrong choosing her.

Elaine was incredible! She helped us figure out ways to have the floristry we wanted in a manner that fit our budget. She was on time with the delivery and cleanup, the arrangements delivered came out exactly as we had planned, and she made sure everything was absolutely perfect before she left. Elaine was so amazing to work with! I am very busy during baseball season and traveling with my husband, so it was very important that the process be very efficient. Not only was she efficient with my time, but she was able to answer any question I had promptly. Elaine nailed every piece of my wedding and her designs were exactly what I had envisioned. Elaine and her team are unbelievable! From the start I knew she would be one of my favorite vendors to work with, and she was! I sent her a handful of photos for inspiration and gave her our budget and she sent us back a detailed quote, fully equipped with more photos that were exactly what I was envisioning, and all under our budget! Her elegant taste reflected our style without breaking the bank and she found ways of styling our venue that was creative and class! Additionally, she was easy to get in touch with and quick to respond when we had questions. Elaine is amazing!!

Elaine is fantastic! She is the sweetest lady, and she and her team brought my vision to light perfectly! I wanted a wildflower look, and she made my bouquet even better than I thought it could look. I had a special request, Indian Paint brushes are my favorite flower, and I had found some silk ones online, and Elaine worked them into my bouquet no problem! We worked through every request I had, and the venue looked even more beautiful with her designs.

Elaine is one of the sweetest people I have met in the wedding process! Truly feel like Elaine was one of the two vendors I knew I could count on. She was there when no one else was and not to mention she took on other roles that our vendors failed to do. She does absolutely stunning work with flowers and made my vision come to life! Truly thankful for Elaine and all of her help, kind words and generosity! My husband and I have nothing but absolute kind words to say about Elaine and her company and we plan on using her company for all future events! We are truly truly thankful!

Elaine does a beautiful job. My flowers were everything I envisioned and hoped they would be. She took my Pinterest inspiration photos and made it reality! She will also work with your budget and provide alternative options, which I appreciated very much.

Elaine is truly wonderful at her job. I had a modern boho chic vibe I was trying to achieve and she helped me turn it into a reality. Not only is she talented at creating beautiful arrangement, but she is knowledgeable in her flowers. She was able to help me stay within my budget by choosing flowers or greenery that looked similar for a fraction of the cost. She also made sure that every flower arrangement used during the ceremony was re-purposed to be used again in the reception. My husband also loved the fact that his boutonniere was magnetic and he didn't have to worry about being stabbed by a pin all night.

Elaine helped my vision become reality with my boho chic inspired wedding. The touch of elegance made everything come together so well. She listened to my ideas and my inspiration photos and made it all come together. Always very quick to respond, was so very sweet and made our meetings feel so relaxed even when I had to have my 2 kids with me, one being an infant. Elaine did an amazing job with my flowers and center pieces for my wedding on 7/6/18! She was easy to communicate with and really listened to what I wanted and accommodated. And her arrangements were BEAUTIFUL! She did a great job of working within my budget and came up with some creative designs. I highly recommend!

Elaine is amazing! I love flowers and I had a specific vision in my mind. Even though it was sometimes hard to get my vision across, Elaine could read my mind and knew exactly what I was trying to say. About a week or so from the wedding I found out my favorite flower in the arrangements could not be found anywhere and I was super nervous that my vision would't come true. But Elaine said she would work her magic and boy did she! I'm obsessed with the way our wedding looked, it was absolutely gorgeous!! Anyone needing a florist should hire Elaine, you can trust her 110%! She's the best!

Elaine made my wedding dreams come true!!!! She is wonderful -- so friendly and so helpful. From the first phone call I had with Elaine I was able to describe to her the general vision I had for flowers (as I didn't necessarily have a huge preference on the exact names of certain flowers, just the look that I wanted) and I sent her some example pictures, and she made my vision come to life!! Her pricing is also very reasonable, meaning that you really can have beautiful wedding flowers while working on a budget. I cannot speak highly enough of E Johnston Designs!!!

Elaine is fantastic and I highly recommend her. She is fairly-priced compared to other vendors in the area, but her services are really worth more than the money. I knew NOTHING about flowers or what I wanted. I brought a few scatter-brained ideas from pinterest and the color of the bridesmaids dress and Elaine took off from there. She really made sure our wedding was absolutely beautiful, even though we did more minimalist flowers. On the day of the wedding, a coordinator from the venue showed me some arrangements that were left over from two prior weddings. The arrangements had blush and white flowers and our color was purple. Elaine took some arrangements and made them fit into our color-scheme at no cost! She is amazing and will really work hard to make your day beautiful.

Elaine with E Johnston Designs is a must-get vendor for your wedding! I was not looking forward to picking out flowers, but Elaine completely changed my experience and view. Elaine looked through pictures with me and sent tons of good ideas, stating she understood my vision. She could handle any challenge we sent her way, which ended up being quite a few. Elaine was professional, responsive and energetic. She set us up with other vendors to assist with decor, taking that stress off of our plate. Elaine was so helpful and present, she felt like a part of our wedding planning team. Elaine was very respectful of our budget and never asked us to spend anything beyond our comfort level. Elaine met me for breakfast when I was in town multiple times, and was prompt in updating our proposal each and every time. Our wedding canopy/chuppah turned out so incredibly beautiful and it exceeded my expectations. Our aisle decor was one of my favorite aspects of the wedding design. Our wedding guests were saying the event design was perfect. Don't hesitate to hire Elaine! She will truly work for you.
