He was always so accessible and willing to put in as much time as it took during our engagement session and our wedding, which I liked, because most photographers had time limits. He was extremely fast and efficient, allowing us to maximize our time with guests. He also pulled us aside briefly during the reception for some gorgeous sunset pictures but did it without taking too much time. We will absolutely use Erik as our go-to family photographer and would recommend him to anyone looking for a professional photographer!

has an amazing portfolio. We felt so comfortable with him from the get go. We did our engagement photos with him and they came out perfectly, but nothing compares to how beautifully our wedding photos came out. Erik converted about half to black and white and left the rest in color, but with the option to switch anything we wanted back to color (or vice versa). He chose all the right ones to convert and we are so happy with all of our pictures. One thing he does that no other photographer I know does is go to the rehearsal which was great because he got familiar with the wedding party and family and we got pictures from the rehearsal which was amazing. He takes a ton of candid pictures which allows us to really feel like we are reliving our wedding when we look at them. I can't say enough good things about him. Additionally, we were sort of all over the place during the wedding and he was super patient and funny the whole time. I cannot recommend him more.

hat Erik was a magician and could appear and reappear without you even knowing, but I didn't know to what extent. He was with me all morning and I never even knew he was there! My husband and I were laughing as we looked back on some of the pictures because we have NO idea how he got such amazing shots! The pictures are so beautiful and bring tears to my eyes looking through them. He made everyone in my family feel comfortable, and made my mom (who is recovering from surgery) feel beautiful by posing her in flattering positions. He was able to be there for important moments throughout the day without seeming like a nuisance. He is a great guy with a great personality. My brother and his fiancé wanted to have slide show during the reception of pictures that Erik had captured earlier in the day, for those who weren't able to see the ceremony and the early morning wedding stuff. We had been given a great recommendation from a friend who has used him for a wedding years before. I am so glad we went with him. The value of his services almost seems too good to be true. You get A LOT from him for what he actually charges. We were able to get pictures from rehearsal, rehearsal dinner, and ALL day on our wedding day... and it was all included!! Erik ran around James City County accommodating myself and the rest of the bridal party. We received our prints yesterday and they are amazing! They look better than they even did online. If you choose Erik to shoot your wedding (or any other special event), you will definitely be pleased. We are very fortunate to have been able to work with him for our own. =)
