Early Bird Cookery

Amy provided the catering for our Catskills wedding recently and we were delighted with her service. The entire offering was so appropriate for the setting, for our tastes, and for the style of our wedding. We had a tasting in May, ordered a few meal packs from her through the summer, then had the wedding in October, so overall we tried her food about 4-5 times. In particular we loved the local and seasonal approach to her cooking and how she makes healthy, and often vegetarian, meals taste so fulfilling. She was able to cater for various dietary restrictions among our guests, such as vegetarian, gluten free and kids meals. The food received numerous compliments from many satisfied guests, highlights included the spanakopita, the pulled pork and the “best hot chocolate ever!” She was able to work with us on a slightly flexible plan which was weather dependent and came together smoothly at the end - huge welcome platters of cheese & charcuterie as guests mingled, then for the meal itself she provided plated appetizers, family style mains and salads, and finished with fruit pies. The meal was served in a tent on a rural property with a large kitchen in the farmhouse, and Amy’s team did a great job of working under those conditions. As an added bonus all the staff were lovely and helped to make everything run smoothly.
