ood ratio of cake and filling and frosting. The reason I'm giving less stars is because unfortunately our actual wedding cake did not taste like the one we sampled. The cake itself tasted very stale, very dry, there was a huge layer of frosting that was very overpowering. We were so excited for our cake and told many of our guests about the flavor we had chosen and how great it tasted, so it was quite a letdown for us and many of our guests as well. Our venue included the cost of our cake as part of our package so we didn't pay Earth and Sugar directly.. I did speak to someone else who got married where I did and she said the same things about her Earth and Sugar cake. It was a bummer because we were really hoping to celebrate our 1st anniversary by purchasing a mini replica of our wedding cake but unfortunately I don't know if it will be worth it.

My cake was way too big , as not every guest accounts for a big slice. Anyway, It would all be 10/10 if I liked the cake. I tried a bite and it tasted like a 200 year old cake. The cake inside was rock hard and stale tasting and the frosting tasted like straight butter and lard, not even vanilla or sugar . Maybe wedding cakes are just for show, but damn that was the worst dessert I have ever had and I am a huge dessert person.

When we requested pineapple flowers in the decoration, they went out and learned how to make them and managed to include them cascading down the side of the cake. It was perfect and that little extra effort and detail that helped make the wedding such a magical experience.

almost laughed us out the door when we told them the date we'd need the cake by. So I was wholly expecting them to say no due to the short notice but wanted to do my due diligence and call anyway. Allison G immediately said yes they could although it would be a tight squeeze so some custom ordering may not be available. I called and emailed countless times with questions, changes to the order, requested their advice on various aspects of the design and flavoring. And Allison was so gracious, kind and sweet each time i bugged them. I even told her to decide where to put the flowers based on what she thought looked good (i had no mental space to devote to small details, given that the whole event was short notice!). The cake came out beautiful! the flowers were just as described and placement was perfect. it was a stunning cake - white semi-naked with white flowers. We didnt have time to taste test so just prayed it tasted good. It tasted better than I imagined. I do not have a sweet tooth but couldnt stop eating the cake. Same with my guests. They asked for seconds and take home boxes. Everyone was shocked when I told them we didnt even taste test due to time constraints. We got 3 layers, lemon on top, then dulce de leche then brown sugar. And each layer was moist and delicious. even days later when we were eating the leftovers the cake was as moist as day 1. I even got some vegan cupcakes for a vegan guest. And when non-vegan eaters tasted the cupcakes they raved about those too! I cannot say enough about the service, aesthetics of the cake, and flavors+texture. Out of all my vendors, this was the best and easiest experience by far. Moving forward I will always go to Earth and Sugar for special requests. Thank you so much Allison G - I didnt realize how important the cake would be to our quickly planned wedding until the guests couldnt stop raving.

service by their team. The hardest part was picking a flavor we loved because after the tasting all of the flavors were too good to just pick one. We decided to go with two flavors, vanilla and carrot cake. Not only did they make our cake but in addition they also created mini desserts that were all exceptional!

I have to say, since the cake was “included,” I was worried it would be such a basic cake and that they would upcharge for every little thing (welcome to the world of weddings). However, it was such a nice surprise that you can still get one of their beautiful, artistic cakes that also happens to be extremely delicious. They even let us choose 2 different flavors (we went with chocolate with salted caramel and funfetti – both were a huge hit!). Ironically, I did end up paying a little more to add donuts to my cake but it was totally worth it. Everyone raved about how awesome it looked and how delicious everything was. I think it was the first time I actually ate the cake at a wedding :-)

welcoming, and enthusiastic. We tried so many options that were honestly all amazing. The red velvet was fantastic and I'm not even the biggest red velvet person. We ultimately decided on the almond cake with dulce de leche and vanilla buttercream. The almond cake was phenomenal and had actual bits of thinly sliced almonds in it. I decided on a 4 layer cake with 3 of the 4 being faux since we were doing a small, intimate wedding. The cake was grand! And I couldn't even tell you which layer was faux, it looked perfect! Apparently my florist didn't bring enough flowers for the cake design I wanted, so one of the girls at Earth & Sugar went all around town to source flowers for the cake design I wanted. To state that was something they did that went above & beyond is an understatement!!! These girls know and love their craft and I'm so impressed with how everything turned out. This was the cake of my dreams!! Everyone loved this cake so much - it was moist, flavorful, and perfectly presented. I am STILL eating this cake! I will definitely be using them in the future for any cakes I need!!! Thank you girls

dn't have been easier. We were able to choose 2 different flavors for our cake, which we loved as we were quite indecisive on which to move forward with. We like many others, were a Covid-couple & had to postpone our wedding 2 times. Earth & Sugar was accommodating & supportive during that whole process. Our ceremony & reception finally occurred on 4/17 of this year. The cake was beautiful & was delicious. Our guests still rave about how great it was. I'd recommend Earth & Sugar to anyone looking for a bakery in the South Florida area!

We were so excited about the uniqueness of this cake, that we jumped the gun and told our guests about it! The day of our wedding we received a naked decorated cake that was some sort of vanilla with chocolate chip flavor. This was exactly what we did not want. THEY DELIVERED THE WRONG CAKE! When I saw the wrong cake I was already dressed in my wedding gown and scheduled to walk down the aisle in an hour. There was nothing I could do. We had guests ask about the red velvet and chocolate cake that we promised them. When I respond that “we got the wrong cake” they are shocked! Meanwhile I feel so embarrassed. Im sure most weddings have details that don’t present as planned. This was supposed to be a key personalized detail to my wedding. This is something we should have had control of and should not have gone this wrong. If I were to perform this kind of overlook at my job, I would be sued for negligence. After the wedding, my wedding coordinator reached out to Earth & Sugar. Their best response was to give me a $200 “refund”. This was a three tier cake for 85 people. I don’t know how they came up with $200. That was like rubbing salt on the wound. Doesn’t matter how good their cake can taste. If they don’t deliver what was ordered they are a joke of a business. I would Not trust them with any special event!

The golden ribbon and the flowers looked very delicate on the buttercream frosting, and even our affordable cake topper looked elegant. Size was also as expected. Fillings: dulce de leche filling was on point. It was delicious. However, the layer of the filling was super thin. You could barely taste it. The second filling was almost impossible to taste too. Cake: we chose a white cake. When we did the tasting we absolutely loved the simplicity yet elegance of this cake that was spongy and soft; however, on the wedding day we found it to be dense, thick, and clumpy. It almost tasted like the cake was a little undercooked and chewy. We were quite disappointed. Frosting: We chose buttercream. It looked clean and smooth. But it was overly thick. Over an inch thick! It ended overpowering the rest and after a few bites we got tired of the fattiness of the frosting. After our guests were served the cake, we looked at the plates and almost 90% of the guests scraped the frosting, ate the filling, and left the cake pieces. All I can say is that they get a 100 for aesthetic, but in our case what mattered the most was not accomplished.

Luckily, we followed-up, and thankfully Earth and Sugar was able to get us the cake in time for our wedding. With that said, I leave a 5-star review happily because the cake was BY FAR and I mean LEAPS AND BOUNDS the best tasting cake that I (and everyone I talked to) had ever had. I mean this cake was so good, that I could not begin to describe the gymnastics my taste buds were doing while eating it. I wish I ordered a 100-tier cake so I would have that cake to eat every day for desert for the rest of my life.

ther, and while I didn’t have most of the traditional wedding things done (styled my own hair, makeup, flowers), I wanted to make sure we had an unforgettable cake that was also dairy free. That’s not super easy to find, but thankfully the team at Earth and Sugar helped make my dream came true. Not only did they make the best cake I’ve ever had (and I am NOT a cake person), they made us a vegan vanilla-guava buttercream cake in less than three days that was absolutely to die for! In fact, I’m writing this review because as I sit here this Sunday night I am thinking about the leftover cake in my freezer and JUST told my (now) husband, that I’m dying for wedding cake. Only 350 days to go before I can take it out for a second taste. Hah! You better believe I have a countdown going. Thank you so much to Allison and the team for dealing with my frazzled self so patiently and helping one thing go SO RIGHT on my wedding day. You all will forever be a part of our special day and I hope to purchase another cake from you when we throw our wedding celebration in 2021! **Also, if you’re still reading this, I am not saying that I recommend calling three days before your event. My cake was a small one-tiered beauty, but the team at Earth and Sugar has tons of work on their plate and I would never have put that burden on them purposely.
