I recently got married at my home and had East Coast Clambakes cater and I could not recommend them enough! We opted for the served clambake buffet along with staff to serve hors d'oeuvres during cocktail hour. The staff was so professional. They cooked on site, beautiful set up. They left zero mess, you’d never know they were even there (also took all the trash). They bussed all the tables, helped put away the leftovers, helped put out the desserts. The food was fantastic! The compliments we got were endless. Everything was so fresh. From the seafood to the rolls, everything was cooked on site. The portions were extremely generous. Guests were leaving the buffet table with two plates! I did lots of catering research and East Coast Clambakes was reasonably priced, the best bang for your buck, such professional service. They made our backyard wedding feel like a five star venue. Justin made the process so easy, happily answered all my questions in a timely manner. East coast clambakes is absolutely the one’s to use for any of your catering needs!!!

I have spent my entire adult life catering onsite clambakes, starting in Southern Connecticut in the mid-2000s before branching out into Massachusetts and the greater New England area. East Coast Clambakes is supported by a fabulous staff that boasts years of experience in the catering business. EASY to work with. Very responsive via email, professional, kind, and patient with all our questions. Their team handled everything in terms of set up and clean up and providing all the utensils, serve ware, drink ware, etc. The lobster was DELICIOUS as well as the mac and cheese, cornbread, and mashed potatoes. They were hands down the easiest vendor to work with. Would highly recommend them. The pricing was fair and worth the value. Hopefully can work with them again.

Prior to the event, working with Justin was a absolute breeze. He was incredibly easy to contact and helped us set up a timeline for the day that fit perfectly with our schedule. My sister-in-law and I also attended a tasting ahead of time, which was a fantastic experience and gave us a great preview of what to expect. On the day of the event, Justin and his team arrived early, set up flawlessly, and cooked within sight of our guests; which was a huge hit and super fun for everyone to watch! Even though we ended up with a chilly, rainy day, the team maintained the best spirits, remaining gracious, kind, friendly, professional, and highly efficient without disrupting the flow of the party at all. The timing of the food was excellent, and the presentation perfectly matched our coastal vibe. The food itself was outstanding; every single one of our guests commented on how amazing it was. Personally, my favorites were the clams, clam chowder, lobster, rolls, and the incredible cheese selection on the charcuterie board. They were in constant communication and kept their cool on one of the hottest days in CT last week, and made sure everything was smooth and ready for service. The food was amazing and everyone that critiqued it had positive notes. The only reason that this is not a 5-star review is that the raw oysters were a little underwhelming- very small, several bits of shell, and some looked like they had been chopped up and portioned back into shells for the event. Otherwise the experience was excellent and would definitely book them again, just not with oysters, maybe other hors d’ouevres instead.
