Hello, I'm Katie Williams, the grower and designer behind East of Shade Farm and Flowers. By day, I’m a high school Dean of Students. By early mornings, evenings, and weekends, I’m in the fields — planting, harvesting, and designing flowers that tell love stories. Growing flowers began as a way for me to reconnect with nature in a world that often feels too fast and too plugged in. What started as a small dream has grown into a farm rooted in beauty, intention, and connection. I believe wedding flowers should feel alive — full of movement, seasonality, and meaning. Because I grow what I design, I’m deeply connected to every stem that becomes part of your day. I know when it was planted. I watched it bloom. I harvest it at its peak. That care shows up in every bouquet. Couples often describe my style as romantic, organic, and effortlessly natural. But more than anything, I want you to feel calm, heard, and confident throughout the process. Your wedding day is emotional and meaningful — your floral experience should feel steady and joyful. At the heart of it all, I care about cultivating connections — with nature, with yourself, and with each other.
