East Port Banquet Center - Catered by Barrack's

I loved East Port! They made everything look great. They did exactly what I wanted when it came to decorations. We had them cater bunch food for our mean. We did a buffet style with and omelet station and waffle station. I (the bride) am gluten free and had request gluten free waffle, which they did provide, however they tasted like old frozen waffles. Other than that all other food was great and I believe the regular waffles were good too. Over all I was very satisfied with them and would recommend them for a wedding venue.

The venue was GORGEOUS. everything planned out exactly like I thought and wanted! There was constant communication! I loved it! Thank you for making our wedding day so special!

Sandy was my coordinator for the reception- only i had for my daughter Margo,, and her new husband, Crockett. Everything went perfect. The decorations, the cleanliness of the hall, the friendly staff that assisted, and the food was absolutely delicious. I had so many, many compliments on the location and the food. My daughter and her husband loved the location, and all that went with it to make this such a special day. She was smiling the entire eveing. We loved using this venue. It's in a perfect location, the food was great, and the look was exactly what I wanted for my modern rustic wedding.

The place is beautiful. The staff is friendly and the food was good. We did have some issues. Staff kept throwing away full drinks if they were un attended. People don't dance with drinks in their hands. No one showed up the day before to let us in for rehearsal even tho we had set it up before hand. Some people were hard to work with and others were great. I still had a great time I just wish they were a little easier to work with.

We chose EastPort Banquet Center for our wedding ceremony and reception because it was on the water with a beautiful view and could be both our ceremony and reception site. We were very pleased with the view from the balcony and the dining room. We had some challenges with the venue and would recommend it with reservations. There is no bridal room or suite, directly below the deck is a bar entirely separate from the Banquet center, additionally you are required to use Barrack’s Catering. We had our best experience working with Barrack’s when we worked with them via email, over the phone and in person details often had to be repeated. I liked that Barracks allowed significant customization beyond their standard wedding packages. During our wedding day there were some issues, but Mr. Barrack apologized and offered us a conciliation for our troubles.

Reed and I can't thank you and your staff enough for the amazing job they did for our wedding and reception! George and David were truly amazing, nothing ever got them stressed and they were a joy to work with! Your wait staff were all courteous, prompt and friendly as usual and made our event go off without a hitch! The food was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING and everyone wondered how in the world you are able to fix food for that many people, deliver it hot and not dried out! It was PHENOMENAL! The cheescake tini bar was a hit and I was disappointed I missed out on having one. Carolyn was a great help throughout the process and we really appreciate her taking the time to answer all of our questions!

Our wedding was July 2017 and I can say that Barrack's had some of the best wedding food I have ever had. Our family and friends raved about the food, even for days after the event. The service was also amazing - everyone willing to check up on us, seeing if anything was needed. The dinner couldn't have gone better and I am so happy we chose Barracks!

We loved working with Barracks and Eastport was beauyiful and perfrct for our wedding. The only reason I am not giving 5 stars is that we were told the room would be fully set up for our rehearsal, and it was not. They did not have champagne at oyr head tables in time for the toast and our DJ had to ask for it, and the bar was very understaffed during our reception causing quite a backup. But none of these things ruined our night. We would choose them again!

We loved having our wedding here! The view was beautiful! The staff were all very helpful and nice. The space worked great for our 109 guests. We also used the deck for our ceremony and it worked great. Barracks food was amazing! and the nacho bar at the end of the night was great too! We always got our questions answered quickly too!

INCREDIBLE spot!! The guests LOVED being right there on the river !! The staff was awesome to work with and so accommodating every step of the way! Highly recommend!! : )

The staff at Eastport Banquet Center are outstanding. They made my daughters wedding absolutely perfect. This is the 2nd time that I have used them and I would highly recommend them.

The location is amazing, absolutely breathtaking views. Nice fireplace downstairs and tower upstairs for pictures. However, we really did not like our caterer representative. We had poor communication with her and she did not make me feel appreciated, valued, or special. Everything we asked seemed like an inconvenience to her and there were a lot of hidden fees. She also communicated pretty much only via email and didn't attend the event. I was disappointed by the service but completely pleased with the venue location. I know the pictures will be beautiful!

We are no slouches when it comes to planning and pricing an event like this. And Barracks won hands down for references, experience, equipment, venues and, not insignificantly, price. The Eastport Banquet Center turned out to be perfect for our 250-some guests. Clearly, they take good care of the place. The floor was refinished a few months ahead of the wedding. And the outside deck was power-washed days before. Everything was so neat, clean and sparkly. The menu choices were almost overwhelming. But most importantly, Barrack's willingness to work with us (and to work seamlessly with our wedding planner) was most impressive, right down to making a bridal couple’s cheesecake with a special cake-top ornament we had found. Then, on the steamy hot wedding day, without being asked, the caterer had ice water outside for the guests and electric fans for the bridal party. Guests from 18 states remarked on the quality of the food and service, the friendliness of the staff, the gorgeous setting. No single detail was overlooked. Barracks scored big again the very next day with the post-wedding party at our house and its terrific picnic dinner. Everything was exactly as they’d said it would be. Based on our experience, it’s easy to see why this family business has been going for 80 years.

Barrack's catered our wedding and did an absolutely amazing job! Our representative, Jonelle, responded to all of my emails and questions very promptly. All of my requests were followed through flawlessly! Everyone that worked at our wedding was very kind, professional, and always smiling. We were asked all through the night if we needed anything. Most of all, the food was delicious! Our guests were all very pleased with their dinner, and our late night nacho bar was a huge hit! We would recommend Barrack's to anyone looking for excellent food served by professional staff. Thank you, Barrack's!

We had a smaller wedding of about 100 guests, and everyone thought East Port was the perfect location! The view of the river is gorgeous and it was so convenient to be married on the deck & have the reception in the same place! We had an hors deuvres reception, and everyone thought the food was pretty good. There were a few issues with some food being cold and not having silverware, but the staff was quick to try to remedy the issues. The catering manager we worked with was wonderful and kept in contact often. I would definitely recommend East Port to others!

This was an absolutely wonderful place to have our wedding reception! The view at sunset was extremely beautiful, and lent itself to some great photos! I would definitely recommend this location!

Excellent service from scheduling through the end of the reception!

This is one of the most beautiful venues in the Peoria area. Right on the river with large windows and a large deck space. Waitstaff was excellent. Sales staff was a little difficult, but worth it.

The venue is beautiful with a stunning view of Peoria. They did a wonderful job setting up the tables and place settings. They easily accommodated 150 guests. It was slightly odd to have two rooms of guest tables, but once people started to dance, it did not matter as much. We chose to have meals served at the tables which helped keep it feeling less crowded. The staff was prompt with serving tables. They did a wonderful job cutting the cake! Unfortunately, they did not adjust the A/C properly, and with the summer sun pouring in the windows, it resulted in extremely uncomfortable high temperatures indoors and many complaints from guests. Especially by the windows where the head table sits! We were unable to use the outdoor deck because of the swarms of mayflies from the Illinois River. The river flooded out the parking lot, so guests had to park far away. I never thought about the river to be flooded during our wedding, but it was flooded for many days before and after our wedding. The river clearly cannot be controlled by the staff, but with the venue located on the river, these things can happen and should be considered when choosing your venue. Other major disappointment, they failed to make any of the requested vegetarian meals, including mine (the bride). I was very clear about the number of vegetarian meals and I stressed the fact the bride was one of them. Despite failing to make multiple vegetarian meals, they did not refund any of the money.

I loved that everything was done in wood the bar the floor etc. The windows were floor to ceiling and amazing. The deck was right off of the dining room and the view of the city was amazing.;They tell you more people can be seated then what really can.
