to hear back from the band manager but will leave my email to them as my review..... “ To whom it may concern my name is Dillon Mclamb Drake. My husband and I were married January 22, 2022 in downtown Wilmington at Bakery 105 with our reception following at 128 South in which we hired Night Years band to perform. A little back story on how Night Years was chosen to be our band for the reception. Kyle (husband) and I worked in catering for a few years before we began our own floral design company. Therefore I have seen Night Years perform on several occasions throughout my many years in the event industry. After each of those events I have left saying “if my day to be married ever comes, Night Years will be the band that plays at my reception.” Each of these times Night Years truly put on amazing performances, was dressed to impress, and really just out did themselves each time that I saw them play. It seemed as if they only got better and better. However the Night Years that showed up to perform at our reception was not the Night Years I booked based on what I saw in previous performances. The Night Years that performed for us was merely there to complete a job, not put on a performance for us and our guests. From attire, stage presence, sound, and lack of enthusiasm, the act just wasn’t there. Band members were even on their cell phones on stage for extended periods of time during the middle of our reception! And at that we let them pick what they wanted to play so surely there were no lyrics to be looked up, etc. My dad even made the comment the next day who is a beach music enthusiast, “The Band of Oz and The Embers put on more of a performance than those guys did last night.” Not to mention our event was black tie optional and some members of the band were in tennis shoes, puffer ski type jackets, and yet again were not dressed like the Night Years I have seen show up in past performances. What makes this even more upsetting to me is the fact that the band called us the day of our wedding to inform us that they would feel better not having to drive back from Wilmington to Raleigh after our event. We had a small winter mix storm the night before and they were unsure how road conditions would be the evening of our event. Therefore we provided all members accommodations to stay in town after our event. This inevitably put us with over a $10k investment to have Night Years perform at our reception once meals, dressing room, gratuity, etc are all included. Which I truly would have no complaints about what so ever had the band I hired actually showed up! Overall as you can probably see by now I am EXTREMELY disappointed/upset with what Night Years brought to the stage for our event. I have recommended Night Years for years ever since the first time I saw them perform at someone else’s wedding. However that day has came to an end and I will no longer recommend this band again. I now walk away from the best day of my life thus far saying “I wouldn’t change a single thing about the day except hire a different band.”

were excellent! They played a great variety of music and even pandered to us (bride and groom) millennials. They came down into the crowd which really got everyone hyped. I didn't stop dancing all night. A live band is the way to go! ECE and Hot Sauce really made our night so fun!

tponements we endured due to COVID-19. When the time finally came for our wedding in October 2021, LP didn't disappoint. I can't count the number of friends and family who came up to us during and after the reception to say how fantastic the band was - as one friend told me, it was the most fun and active dance floor they had ever seen at a wedding. Liquid Pleasure was even willing to stick around to play one more song for just my wife and I to enjoy a private last dance. I cannot recommend LP enough for all your event needs!

Everybody commented that it was "The Best Night Ever" as well as "The Best Wedding Ever" and the band played a key role in making it that way. Thanks to you and the band for being so professional. Given the number of compliments we received I am sure you will get many requests for the band to be used by others.

ided a budget, which was ignored when receiving our list of options. Then we did not hear anything from anyone in the band after we booked 10 months out. We continued to get the run around about planning music, delaying speaking to us about what we are looking to do. At times, we felt like just another wedding, another number, which is why they did not want to talk to us given the volume of other weddings they had ahead of us. We were able to speak to the band members on our actual wedding day, which we preferred to do ahead of our big day. Loved the band, didn't love the agency.

5. Our DJ was not the fastest responder and waited til the week of to ask several questions and also some back and forth about last minute price changes. Also would clarify what type of microphone/speakers you would like to use, this was a concern during pictures of the ceremony. Overall, the DJ was excellent during both events and all our guests loved the music selection!

The band was INCREDIBLE - a true performance band that brought the fun and energy throughout our entire reception! They were able to read the crowd so well and never let the energy drop which kept the dance floor busy all night long! Also, they were able to learn customized song numbers for first dances which made the night so memorable for us! Cannot recommend ECE and Kustom Made enough!!!

I gave him song all of our requests 2 days before our wedding and on the morning of, we timed out each song to play at the right moment in a matter of 2 minutes. He absolutely knows his stuff and we didn't have to worry about a thing music wise. We had everyone on the dance floor all night and we were all definitely sore the next day :)

In the weeks before our wedding, we worked with Glenn Yoder (Souljam’s band manager) to coordinate specific details around the bride & groom first dance, mother-son/ father-daughter dances, a special song with the bride, specific playlists around band breaks, etc. – and Glenn was a pleasure to work with! On the Saturday of our wedding, Souljam truly elevated the atmosphere of our party – and the dancefloor was full the entire evening; guests were praising the band and even told us it was the most fun wedding they had ever been to! Souljam was essential to enabling our wedding reception to reach its full potential and be a party for the ages and forever a part of our memories!

ontrolling a room of 150+ people is incredible. They even let our aunt go up and sing with them and that will be a memory she will have for a lifetime. efore the wedding to discuss their approach and our desires for certain types of music, they stressed that every one of their shows is unique and tailored for the event. Having seen them before, I can testify that they are absolutely true to their word. My daughter had wanted high energy and Surround Sound most definitely brought that for their entire uninterrupted performance--both through their music and choreography. While a great many of the guests spent their time on the dance floor, those that didn't told me later how fun it was to simply watch the band perform. And, from a father-of-the-bride's perspective, I can tell you that they are thoroughly professional and a true pleasure to deal with. If you choose Surround Sound for your wedding, you will be very glad that you did. A special shout out to Reid Farber at East Coast Entertainment for being so responsive and helpful in our search for the right band. Thank you, Reid! sical talent surpassed even the best dance bands that I have ever heard. And I'm not alone on my assessment - we had numerous people tell us the same thing - all wanting the name of the band. Our guests hit the floor dancing, and never left. The folks at Surround Sound were also so nice and easy to work with, and seem to genuinely enjoy what they are doing. We were absolutely thrilled with them in all ways!

I cannot recommend them highly enough! If you're looking for a wedding band, the Royal Suits should be at the top of your list.

We went over our intended budget in order to hire the Royal Suits, but they were worth every single penny. Many of our guests told us it was the most fun they had at a wedding, and it was absolutely because of the Royal Suits. Do yourself a favor and hire them if you're getting married or having an event in the Asheville, NC area!

as always upbeat and excited for us whenever we spoke which made us feel that much more excited too. And that excitement was not undue. I have to get a little blurb in here about the band as well. Hot Sauce was amazing and were an absolute hit at the reception. They kept us dancing the entire night and made sure to keep the energy up. They made coordinating song selections for our special dances a breeze.

From having both strong male and female lead vocalists, to amazing musicians, to a fun light show, we couldn't have asked for anything more from The Root Doctors! The Root Doctors do a fantastic job at reading your crowd and playing to that. They were down on the dance floor with us having a great time. We've had people tell us that our wedding has been one of the most fun they've attended! We knew working with East Coast Entertainment would make the process so easy. During the midst of our planning, our initial agent left due to COVID and we were re-assigned to Reid. Reid took over and took great care of us! We had to move our wedding venue and Reid was super helpful making sure everything was up-to-date so we wouldn't have to worry. We highly recommend The Root Doctors, Reid, and ECE!

We enjoyed working with Bobby, who was organized and made everything run smoothly the night of our event. The band played our Father/Daughter and Mother/Son songs. They even learned a new song for our first dance, Then Came You by the Spinners. They showed exceptional talent instrumentally and vocally, and the set list they chose for our wedding was perfect. They played the whole night with a variety of genres and artists ranging from Michael Jackson to Katy Perry, adapting and having great instinct to read the crowd and interact with our guests. They truly energized the night! We highly recommend using ECE, Reid, and the Black & Blue Experience for your big day!

I know this was a tough ask because these guys really rock and have great energy. They set up outside and we had a nice little outdoor dance area and they did an amazing job. We had a lot of compliments on all vendors at our wedding but I think the thing I heard most consistently was how great the band was. We also live-streamed our wedding so our many friends and family who couldn't be there in person could still watch. A lot of our friends texted me to say how much they were enjoying the music and were dancing in their living rooms. Highly recommend hiring them!

I could not recommend working with Reid from EastCoast Entertainment through the whole process of booking The Band Punch for our wedding (and then re-booking with him when we had to reschedule our wedding due to COVID). We had a blast with them and our wedding guests are still raving about "how good the band was!" Their light show truly made the room spectacular and I couldn't say enough nice things about them. Definitely check them out and know you cannot go wrong if you book them - they will MAKE your event!

been to our fair share at weddings at this point and so have our friends and we have been told over 20x that this was the best band they have ever seen. You feel that you are at your own private concert and they make you feel extra special. Not only are they the best performers the day of the wedding, but the communication leading up is amazing. They will learn new songs for you, they are incredibly grateful to be playing at your wedding, and they are super responsive to any asks! I am determined to plan a party once a year and try to have Perfect 10 perform - whoever created their name is brilliant because they are PERFECT. I cannot say it enough - hire Perfect 10 for any event.
