We found Eat for Equity after a friend used them for her wedding. We were drawn to their mission and how they give back to local charities and use in season ingredients sourced from local farmers and makers. Every course of our meal was prepared with care and we loved having the option of the meal being served “family style” so that no food would go to waste! Eat for Equity was a fabulous addition to our wedding day!
Eat for Equity exceeded our expectations for wedding catering. Two weeks after the wedding, guests were still telling us about the amazing quality of the food. My dad, a musician who has played hundreds of weddings, said that Eat For Equity is now at the top of his list. Their selection caters to everyone’s taste and has plenty of vegetarian and gluten free options. (everyone loved the GF and veggie options, not just those with dietary concerns.) Guests especially raved about the rainbow salad, beef brisket and polenta. Establishing that the food is delicious, the service is also exceptional. Todd managed the event and was extremely competent and pleasant to work with. Our wedding was on the hottest day of the year and we had a challenging room flip, but his team came through without a problem. We planned the wedding ourselves, and whenever we had a planning question come up, Todd responded quickly and had great ideas that helped us create our dream wedding while sticking to a tight budget. Hope we can hire EFE again in the future!
Eat for Equity is a really incredible organization. The food they create is absolutely delicious and unique! It is run by people with a passion for food, and social justice and their unique business model has inspired me many times to think creatively about my own place in this world and my relationships with people (and food) around me. I highly recommend Eat for Equity as a catering option for your special event!
Eat for Equity was fantastic. Their commitment to local and women-owned businesses is readily apparent, and that's excellent, but what you can't tell from a website is that their food is really damn good! We were blown away at how good the food was. Many of our guests commented on it, too. The dressing for the rainbow salad, in particular, is amazing- you've never had anything like it!
Both Mary and Emily were great to work with- very responsive and very helpful in guiding us in figuring out how to build a menu and how much of each item we'd need. Highly recommended!
Eat for Equity was wonderful to work with. They were very responsive to menu changes and changes in the number of guests. Our contact, Emily, was also very good at offering menu options that were within our budget and would work with the various dietary needs and limitations of our guests.
They also provided recipes for all the food to guests who requested it.
Our guests (and us!) loved the food, and presentation.
We selected Eat for Equity as our caterers as we had attended their fundraiser dinners in Minneapolis and knew the food was really great. Additionally, a portion of the cost is donated to an organization of your choice and we were excited to support a couple non-profits where we had previously worked.
Emily worked with us during the planning process to select a menu that was tasteful, delicious, and accommodating to several gluten-free and vegan guests. The E4E crew helped with all of the setup and takedown, and coordinated rentals of all the linens and dishes. Some of guests seemed disappointed that there was nothing they could help with as E4E had it all covered!
E4E provides top-tier service and is a really great crew to work with. The food received so many compliments that at the end of the night the kitchen crew got a standing ovation from the guests. I highly recommend E4E for any future wedding.
