Don with EC Matrimony was great to work with. He made the ceremony planning process so easy and quick. I especially liked how I received multiple example scripts, so I was able to pick and choose how I wanted my ceremony to be. Any changes I wanted, he made without hesitation. He had such a strong yet calm voice that just perfectly filled the room. He's a great public speaker for any occasion. Would definitely recommend working with him.

When I think of Tobin and how amazing he did as our officiant at our ceremony, all I can think of is how he nailed it and hit the ball out of the park and after the ceremony, all of our guests were literally chanting his name to us so really all I can say is Tobin Tobin Tobin Thank you EC matrimony and Tobin mainly forgiving us the ceremony we asked from you. We could not be more happy.

We hired Ernie as our wedding officiant. The materials he provided were great to help us tailor our ceremony and we enjoyed meeting with him for him to get to know us and incorporate the information into his script. I would rate 4 stars, as it appeared that Ernie was overbooked/had too much going on and I requested a copy of the script multiple times. My planner also had wanted to see the script. We never did receive any script for the wedding. I am a very detailed oriented person who just wanted to make sure that our special edits were incorporated perfectly (and almost felt like I should just write the script myself!). It did not give me the peace of mind I needed, although he had sent a summary via text 5 days before the wedding. The ceremony was special, but at times felt slightly long-winded. Brides want to feel special and one wants to feel like someone's "only client". I had received a text 4 days before the wedding that he had 2 other weddings ahead of ours and he would not be working on ours until the night before. I don't feel that it was proper planning since we hired him in Jan 2024, 9 months before the wedding, and had met with him in late July (pushed out at his request from June, as initially scheduled). I enjoyed his personality and he delivered a nice ceremony, I just would have appreciated additional pre-planning and communication.

Ernie officiated our marriage ceremony on September 1, 2022, and he was incredible to work with. First, he was very communicative via email and text. He took the time to discuss our wedding over the phone, educating us on different nuances, like handfasting, and walked us through what to expect on the big day step by step. He also prepared a wedding script for us to follow during the ceremony and sent it to us in advance. Lastly, he was open to our suggestions about the wedding location (the beautiful Jenkins Estate) and arrived there on time. Even though it was a small reception, Ernie, being a popular choice in the area, still agreed to participate and made us feel well cared for. We wholeheartedly recommend hiring Ernie for your wedding, big or small. His attention to detail and exceptional oratory skills will undoubtedly make your day even more special.

I can’t say enough about Tobin from EC Matrimony. We didn’t know him at all heading into the one of the most important days of our lives, which seems crazy, however we met with and talked to him on several different occasions and he nailed our ceremony. He got to know us, asked all the right questions, encouraged my husband and I to relive our 12 year relationship, and recreating moments I hadn’t thought about in years. He incorporated all of that, as well as some very appropriate humor, keeping the element of surprise as we said our vows. We had so many guests come up to us afterwards, complimenting the ceremony and asking us how we knew Tobin. And after the ceremony, I felt like I’ve known him forever!

We had the most amazing experience with Ernie. From the first phone call, to the sit down, to our Wedding. I’m so thankful we found Ernie and had him there for our special day. To put it simply, he had more information to actually help us through our process of getting and returning the marriage license and information about the area/location than the wedding planner did. From the very at Ernie was very easy to work with, he walked us through the process of everything, answered all of our questions and always responded quickly. He takes the time to meet with his couples individually at his office to really get to know you and your relationship to make your ceremony as personal and perfect as he can. Doina was everything we dreamed of and more as our wedding officiant. We feel like it was a match made in heaven that we found her! Her Romanian and Spanish speaking background fit my husband and I like a glove. She not only took the time to really get to know us and the story of us, but she took her time writing our ceremony. It was truly beautiful and matched us perfectly. We had SO many guests at our wedding tell us how lovely she was and how well spoken she was about both my husband and I. Ernie is a one of a kind professional. He was such a help and highlight of our entire wedding process. We had our wedding last thursday and Ernie was phenomenal. Not only was he interested in our love story in the meetings leading up to the wedding, he also incorperated our love story into the ceremony which we loved. He asked us questions about what we wanted him to say and was flexible with what we wanted and what we didn’t want for the ceremony. He is so friendly and sweet and made our ceremony perfect.

This officiant accommodated our last minute wedding in late February 2024 in the Columbia River Gorge with its majestic waterfalls - We moved our wedding date up by 7 months for health insurance & travel reasons. Ernie was very busy but still gracious, great listener, warm & considerate. His delivery of a standard civil ceremony was heartfelt & sincere - even though he’s probably officiated hundreds of such mini weddings ! He’s approachable & possesses a great sense of humor. I contacted several potential officiants-ministers and selected Ernie since he’s very experienced, does many outdoor weddings, and was excited to marry us (in our early 60s and previously divorced). Don’t hesitate to speak with him about any of your concerns - very reasonable fees too.

Ernie was so fantastic. We reached out to him a week before our wedding, and within the hour of me reaching out to him he got back to us. We explained our situation and why we were reaching out on such short notice and he was so understanding, and accommodating. He actually had another wedding that day but was willing to squeeze us in. He scheduled a meeting where he explained everything we needed to know about our ceremony, and he actually gave us a lot of information that was very helpful to know for day of. A few days before our wedding, our venue cancelled on us and we had to switch locations. When we reached out to him, I was so nervous he wouldn't be able to ordain our ceremony because it was further away from our initial location, but he said he would be able to make it work. Our wedding day finally came, and I was so glad to see Ernie was able to make it. Our ceremony was beautiful. Although I was so incredibly nervous I could barely register what was going on, however the pieces that I did catch were beautiful. The ceremony was exactly what we wanted, and I am so glad that he ordained it. After the ceremony all of our guests kept coming up to us, and they all said the same thing, "The ceremony was beautiful, he did such a great job.". Thank you so much Ernie, you helped make our day less stressful, and your words will be something we will reflect on often. I would definitely recommend you hire him for your wedding!

I cannot express how much our guests enjoyed our ceremony. Everyone said our ceremony was beautiful, sweet, and "definitely (us).' Thank you for the delightful ceremony, for being so personable and easygoing, and for the great selections/sentiments you chose for us. I felt the ceremony was the perfect length- long enough to take it all in, to reflect, to connect with my sweetheart and not so long that my back injury got angry. ...Ernie had great communication with us and took ample time to get to know us and learn our preferences for our ceremony. He was a pleasure to work with. He was respectful of our wishes and offered options that we hadn't thought of. On wedding day, he looked great/was well groomed and appropriately dressed. He was early (!) to our venue and had a great sense of humor when I ran from the fronting the middle of the ceremony to grab the flowers I forgot on a table!

Ernie was FANTASTIC! He really got to know us and created a ceremony that was perfectly fitted to our personality. Also great at improvising when I threw in a curve ball and 'rick rolled' all my guests with my wedding vows!

I will start by saying I was extremely stressed about finishing an officiant. Ernie is an amazing officiant and overall wedding professional! He made it so simple and took a lot of stress away. I loved that we were able to set up a phone meeting with him to talk about our wedding and personal styles. He was extremely flexible with our work schedules as they not the typical schedule. After our meeting he sent over a questionnaire which we each filled out in our own and sent back to him. This was just questions about us and our love story. It helped to make our ceremony more intimate and personal. He also explained exactly what we needed for our marriage license and how to get it. He helped at the rehearsal the night before to clarify any questions we had and get our timing down with walking down the aisle. I appreciated this more than ever as I didn’t have a coordinator and it really wasn’t something I thought about. After the ceremony he had us sign our paperwork and he took care of the rest. I loved this because we didn’t have to worry about sending any paperwork out to the county after the wedding. He really takes care of everything. I believe he has more than fair pricing for his amazing services and attention to detail. Hiring him was the best decision for our officiant!

Ermine did our wedding in September and he was amazing! Ernie was super helpful in providing resources in the run-up to our wedding that helped us create the flow and content of our ceremony. He was very reassuring when it came to review our selections for the ceremony and also while providing his feedback. On the wedding day Ernie led and created the perfect ceremony for us - thoughtful and personal. With Ernie, we never had to worry about any aspect of our ceremony.

I just can't say enough great things about EC Matrimony! We were so overwhelmed with wedding planning and Ernie helped us so much with the ceremony side of things. Prior to meeting with him, he sent me a ton of helpful material to prepare for our meeting - vow options, reading options, unity ceremony options, etc. Upon meeting, he answered all our questions and really got to know my fiancé and me - how we met, what attracted us to one another, and why we wanted to get married. He followed up prior to the wedding to confirm the details we discussed and to make sure nothing changed. He arrived right on time the day of and mingled with the guests before the ceremony started - it was like he was part of the family. The day of our wedding was sunny and beautiful but because we had a large (and delicious) charcuterie board, we had a bit of a yellow jacket problem. During the ceremony, my husband was stung by a bee and Ernie jumped into action to swat it away while never missing a beat in the reading! Most our guest didn't even know it happened it was so nonchalant. Talk about smooth! After the ceremony, he was ready to have us sign our marriage certificates. We received our official marriage certificates in the mail very quickly after the wedding so he was once again very on top of getting our documents to the county. He also sent us a very nice thank you card in the mail, which was even more special since it was the first piece of mail we received as Mr. and Mrs. Peterson. I would highly recommend Ernie to anyone and everyone. He's friendly, charismatic and professional; everything you want in a wedding officiant.

We incorporated a ring warming, and when Ernie received the rings after they were warmed by our guests, he closed his iPad and recited the exchange of rings script from memory while slowly untying the twine holding the rings. It felt extremely special and spiritual, like he was unwrapping something magical and sacred just for us. The fact that he was speaking so fluidly from memory while untying the rings made him seem like some kind of wedding wizard with amazing powers and it was an awesome experience.
