My wedding cake was the most beautiful thing I've ever seen. I wanted a cake inspired by Vincent Van Gogh's Starry Night and ECBG made the most extraordinary cake. It was a work of art. All of our guest were blown away. The cake tasted amazing too .... salted caramel, chocolate, marble cake. Yum yum yum. So many guests went on and on about how amazing the cake looked and tasted. I would order a cake from ECBG for any occasion. They are amazing. I want to hug the person who made my cake. Thank you for helping to make my wedding so magical and special.

Ecbg was incredible to work with. We did an at home cake tasting which was so fun for us and is such little pressure since it was just us two. We were able to really enjoy the process and make a decision without the pressure of tasting directly with the business! We loved this aspect of our planning process! They executed our desserts so perfectly. They created the most beautiful cake for us and provided a great dessert table. Quick and easy communication and just overall perfect experience.

I went to ECBG Cake Studio for my wedding cake and I’m so glad I did. It was a pleasure to work with them and they did not disappoint. You can do take home cake tasting, which was so convenient and special, they gave me directions on how to preserve the cake so I could travel with it to Michigan and do tasting with my grandmother - she absolutely LOVED it. Secondly, I didn’t know what I was looking for when it came to a design and all I did was send them a picture from Pinterest and it was PERFECT. It was exactly like the picture. I had so many compliments on the cake, the way it tasted and looked. I couldn’t have asked for a better cake company and plan on returning in the future!

ECBG is a pleasure to work with. And her cakes absolutely live up to the viral Instagram pix. From the smooth communication, to the creativity (all I said was I wanted a vintage wedding cake with my color scheme and they ran with it!!), to the actual quality of the cake - everything was amazing! To note, there is a minimum price you have to spend to get delivery so I sent a trusty family member to pick it up from the bakery and drop it off at my venue. It was so fresh that they were finishing up decorating when they picked it up! Would definitely recommend ECBG!!!

ECBG made our cake for our wedding & we are SO happy we chose them. We picked the a unique combination of flavors & it ended up tasting just as good as it looked! The buttercream frosting was not too sweet, just the right amount & the flavors we chose to accentuate in each of the layers (pistachio, mocha, salted caramel) really shined through. Many people raved about the cake post-wedding & had their favorite picked out between the layers! We are so excited to try the top tier during our 1-year anniversary!!

ECBG made us a BEAUTIFUL cake for our wedding this past weekend!! It was exactly what I envisioned and just absolutely perfect!! For my wife's birthday I ordered a Chocolate Cake with Butter Cream Frosting. As you can see by the attachment I received a Butter Cream Frosting Cake with a bit of Chocolate Cake. I sent an email to ECBG the next day saying I would like to talk to someone about the cake. I did not hear back and followed up again and this is the response back I received from the owner Erin Martin. Wow!! ============= Hi Dennis! My name is Erin and I own ECBG Cake Studio. My Order Manager, Izzy has let me know you were unsatisfied with your order over the weekend. Thank you so much for your feedback. It means a lot to us to try to make each and every experience exceptional. I did take a look at your attachment and your order form to see that it was consistent with what you ordered. My personal recommendation for fillings is something like cream cheese or chocolate pastry cream since the buttercream is always on the outside. A lot of our signature style cakes are done with artist discretion, like color of message, font of message, placement of disco balls etc. - and I am so sorry that was not to your liking. I understand the amount of filling we provided, which is consistent with all of our cakes and to our standard, may not have been your preference and that is okay. Hopefully the guests were still able to enjoy their night! I hope you have a great week! ================= Wow this is customer service... I think not. This was for a birthday imagine if this was for a wedding and you cut into this disaster of a cake at the reception. Anyone reading this please don't make the same mistake I did by ordering a cake from ECBG Cake Studio's.

We did a ‘to go’ cake tasting, which was so much fun and I highly recommend. We loved every cake and frosting option. We ended up getting a three tiered cake to feed 100 people and a dozen vegan cupcakes. We have not stopped getting compliments on how gorgeous and delicious it was! Highly recommended.

ECBG will have you dreaming about your wedding cake well after the big day has passed . They were incredibly easy to work with through out. Not only did they create a beautiful 4 tier (each a different flavor) wedding cake for us but also a supppppper cool grooms cake in the shape of a banana. I was unreal the level of detail that they put into each one. The ecbg team can’t pretty much do anything. We did a dessert bar so everyone could pick what they wanted instead of table serving the cake…. There was not a single piece of cake left at the end of the night…they were both THAT good.

We worked with ECBG based on a referral, and I am so lucky that we did! I connected with them through an event, got to try one of their cakes, and promptly started to dream about it for our small wedding. I hate frosting, it's too often way too sugary and sweet. This was honestly the most delicious cake (frosting included) that I ever had. Working with them on size for our small party (35 people) and design was super easy. We wanted a carrot cake, and it was perfect. Honestly one of the things that I most looked forward to about our wedding was this cake, haha! I'm so tempted to bust into the piece we have in the freezer. Please work with them! You won't be disappointed!

My husband and I used ECBG for our wedding cake on 11/3/2023. We were looking for a smaller cake to use for our ceremonial cut. ECBG was fantastic to work with to understand our options and finalize a design. Erin & Sarah were incredibly helpful and very prompt with their responses to all of our questions. Not only was the cake beautiful, it was absolutely delicious!

Delectable desserts and wonderful service! Best bakery in the Chicagoland area. I hired them for my wedding cake (and grooms cake the night before), and it was incredible. The cake was so moist and the design was flawless! I received many compliments on the cake from my guests. The process of scheduling a tasting and booking them for my wedding was seamless. They made sure to provide me with recommendations to accommodate my allergies and preferences plus provide some suggestions. I had flexibility to customize the cake and have a different flavor on each layer, incorporating our favorites. I also asked them to make some pastries for my bridal shower and they delivered! The entire team is friendly and accommodating PLUS the sweets are scrumptious. Flavorful, moist, and delightful. - definitely leave you wanting more. I’m so happy we went with them and we loved our beautiful cakes so much!

The BEST wedding cake we have ever had! Our cake looked beautiful, but even more importantly it tasted fantastic! We had multiple people coming up to us at our wedding telling us that it was the best wedding cake they’ve ever had and wanted another slice! We absolutely loved working with ECBG for our wedding! The entire process was seamless and very easy. They were great at communicating and helping us make the best decision for our big day. We came to them with our ideas and they really honed in it and brought them to life. They even worked with our florist to help create the perfect look for our cake. Erin is phenomenal! We went to ECBG for our wedding cake and we couldn’t be more happy with our experience. From booking a tasting, to the thoughtful and quick communication, to the ease and overall organization of this company we would definitely recommend! The cake was both delicious and beautiful with a true creative cake master that has evident love for what she does! We wanted something simple, yet elegant with some small added details and she nailed it.

Every part of our experience with ECBG was wonderful for our April 2023 wedding – great tasting experience, customization, communication, and delicious cake!

ECBG was one of our first vendors we booked for our wedding. We did one of their at home tasting kits - which was perfect and so fun to do at home together. We worked closely with Sarah on what our vision was and she was so kind and responsive the entire process. When we finally saw the cake on our wedding day, WOW!! It’s not every day that a cake can steal the show at a wedding, but it was a head turner in the best way possible. Beyond that, our guests loved the cake and we got so many compliments on it throughout the evening! Don’t believe the wedding blogs that say “cakes are a waste of money” - it’s a statement piece and if your use ECBG there will be very little wasted cake as we only had a handful of slices left over (which my father graciously took home as a lover of all things buttercream icing and cake). The entire team is incredible and we loved working with them!

ECBG made us an absolutely GORGEOUS and DELICIOUS wedding cake! We had multiple guests tell us it was "the best cake they've ever had" and we agree. It was fantastic. We got almond cake with vanilla pastry cream and marble cake with chocolate mousse so everyone had an option. 100/10 wonderful cake, beautifully decorated, wonderful experience, highly recommend!

Wow, wow, wow, wow, wow! As a wedding professional (a planner!) I have come to truly love wedding cake as it has become a saving grace for me at 10:30PM on a wedding night when I realize I haven't eaten since 9AM that morning, and when my clients allow me, I have often found that I am able to get the most creative when it comes to details and design of the cake. Cue Erin. She is always up for my fun, client design inspired cakes, and when I came to her saying that I wanted to incorporate things like 15 patterns, 10 colors, shag texture, fondant and DISCO tiers, she said "Say no more. I've gotchu." And got me she did. Our cake was literally INCREDIBLE. Beyond my wildest dreams. I am so grateful to Erin, Sarah and the whole ECBG team for never once saying no to my "more is more" mantra and rolling with the crazy to give me and my now husband the wedding cake we never knew we needed. And BOY did it taste great at the wedding, but it was even more amazing at 4AM in our hotel room after a LOOOOONG night and even BETTER for breakfast the next morning! THANK YOU ECBG TEAM!

ECBG created an amazing cake for our wedding! The process was seamless--Erin and her team guided us through the process of designing the perfect cake to visually fit our celebration, and also it was unquestionably the best-tasting wedding cake we've ever had. The tasting process, which ECBG has made an art in and of itself, was the perfect way to narrow down the flavor combinations. We planned the wedding from out of town, and Erin and her team was very helpful and accommodating. We will certainly be ordering custom cakes and other treats from ECBG in the future for other celebrations. 10/10 would recommend!

Erin and her team were a pleasure to work with from the beginning. The tasting was super fun, and we went with an ambitious design that included a modeled phoenix and dragon. ECBG is amazing! I has been eyeing this beautiful cakes for a while and was so excited to finally secure a spot for our tasting. Our flavor was beyond delicious. I still am dreaming about all the cake and frosting flavor combinations! Erin was amazing to work with and delivered exactly what we wanted. ECBG is one of the TOP bakeries in Chicago. They care so freaking much about what they do and who they do it for. I've had the pleasure of steering many of my wedding couples to them and they never disappoint. I've even ordered a birthday cake for myself here and there. From quality of ingrediants to customer service to flavor and design, this is where you want your cake from.

ECBG's cake and filling flavors are superior! Their tasting kit really stood out compared to others we tried, and when it comes to cake, you can't skimp on the presentation! I knew exactly what I wanted and they executed it flawlessly.

As a major sweet-tooth / avid dessert eater, I was very passionate about our cake selection & dessert menu for our wedding. After sampling some of ECBG offerings at a wedding vendor event and then spending time with Erin at our tasting, we knew we had to go with ECBG! Erin & team are so easy & fun to work with: very responsive, communicative, and obviously passionate about what they do! Our wedding cake was both delicious and beautiful, and the dessert spread of custom oreo brownies & scotcharoos was devoured by guests within 15 minutes. My only regret is not ordering more!

We are big fans of ECBG Studio over the past couple of years purchasing cake-out boxes and birthday cakes. Our wedding venue did not allow for outdoor food, but they were able to make an exception for a bride and groom cutting cake for our wedding to be provided by ECBG Studio. Obviously, we were so excited! We did the at-home tasting box option because in-person tastings were unavailable at the time. It was a great date night in idea  Fast forward to the big day, the ECBG Studio team made a cake that truly captured our vision and cravings. I appreciate the team’s expertise and guidance as we narrowed down our cutting cake ideas. Due to the smaller cake size, we had to pick-up the day prior and bring to the venue. However, Erin and her team were super flexible and easy to work with so one of our bridal party members could pick-up and deliver the cake to the venue. The best part was that our cutting cake was only for us and we had so much cake to enjoy after the wedding day! Looking forward to eating our top tier on our 1st wedding anniversary! Overall, super talented and professional- a great value for what we were looking for on the wedding day. I highly recommend working with Erin and team at ECBG Studio for all your cake needs.

Wow, what a wedding cake! First of all, the cake looked stunning in the center of the ballroom. We had seen pictures of a similar cake, but seeing it in person made our jaws drop. All of our guests were very impressed as well. Then there was the taste, it was melt in your mouth goodness. While we did keep our flavor selections somewhat simple (variation of chocolate and vanilla cake and fillings), it did not disappoint. You cannot go wrong with the classics especially by this cake studio! Thank you Erin for providing us with the most memorable cake (visually and tastefully)!

ECBG was amazing to work with. Erin walked us through the process and brought our vision to life with our cake. We had a marble cake with vanilla pastry cream and everyone loved it! I am gluten free as well as my mother and they were able to make our top tier of the cake GF to accommodate our needs. We can’t express how delicious the options were, how fine tuned our design was, and how happy everyone was with the outcome!

ECBG has the most amazing wedding cakes! There are so many options for flavors for the cake and frosting and each one was amazing, it was hard to choose! The virtual tasting option was fun, we were able to include my parents and make it a little party! My name is Kristin and I am a wedding and event planner. I hired ECBG to do the cake for my own wedding and I cannot give any higher praise than that! I initially hired Erin to make a birthday cake for me a few years back. It was love at first bite. I felt guilty taking the first bite of that birthday cake because it was like eating a work of art that belongs in a museum. Erin was amazing through the entire planning process and she more than delivered my vision. The cake was the one piece of the wedding that was a genuine live surprise for me, because it was delivered during our ceremony. The first time I saw the beautiful cake was when my husband and I walked into the reception, the photographer captured a photo of this moment and the look of pure joy on my face is priceless. It. Was. Perfection. Erin also made chocolate coveted fruit for our event that was mouth watering! Our guests were raving about how amazing the cake was. Erin is a true talent and I will never hire another vendor for my baking needs.

I couldn't be happier and more thrilled with how our cake turned out! Erin and the team, from start to finish, were an absolute breeze to work with. Due to COVID, we had our tasting at home (incredible date night) with a follow up call afterwards. Erin was easy to talk to and extremely knowledgable. We came up with the most incredible cake mock up and left the rest to the team. Not only were we blown away by their design and how it looked the day of, but they were willing to also include a handmade topper my mother had made! So flexible and easy to work with, this won't be the last time we use ECBG. Oh, also, this cake is the best tasting cake we've ever had. Period. Mic drop. The end.

We were very optimistic during our cake tasting and design meeting. She showed us a pervious cake which we used for inspiration, in turn we drew a mockup of our vision which was submitted with our final order to clearly communicate expectations. The final product was disappointing because Erin failed to communicate her artistic changes. Our issues were: 1) Geometric flex frost design was sloppy and incomplete. The flex lines should have been cohesive and around the entire tier 2) Damage to the base layer 3) Dents on the top tier We reached out after our wedding for an explanation. Erin apologized stating: "The small dent on the corner of the hexagon happened during transit. Sometimes we have to weigh the risk involved with fixing it, which may result in making it more noticeable or worse. In this case, instead of redoing it, I painted over the knick hoping it was small enough to be overlooked. " "Although there is a degree to which we cannot control due to our medium being food. We try our best to make each cake perfect, but they will never be ACTUALLY flawless because it is food." "Flex frost, the product we use to do the geometric lines in which we laser cut and hand apply is a thin film that melts when you touch it. It was applied with expert care and attention. Again, as it is food, it will never be actually perfect, and if you look at the photo we had provided as inspiration you will see gaps as well (I am not sure where that mock up came from that you all provided- it was not indicative of the photo we had on your order form originally)" Be aware if you go with ECBG your cake may be damaged during transit, your cake will not be flawless and she will overlook details such as a mockup submitted with your final order. The cake did taste AMAZING and showed up on time. She loses stars for communication and customer service. You should not change someone's design and surprise them on their wedding day. Unacceptable. I've attached photos documenting our process on my google and yelp reviews. If you chose ECBG make sure she understands your vision. Good luck

The cake was absolutely stunning and equally delicious. We weren’t going to have a wedding cake but I kept seeing ECBG on Instagram and I’m so glad we decided to do it because it made a gorgeous centerpiece for the night. Plus the team there are all so sweet and lovely!

We loved our cake and working with ECBG! We picked up a delightful cake tasting box from the studio and had so much fun trying out different flavor combinations at home. Once we decided on our flavor combo they were accommodating of our budget and vision for the cake. We'd highly recommend them to anyone!
