The wedding cake was gorgeous, and the delivery process was seamless. So many people at the wedding came up to us to let us know how wonderful the cake was! We were thrilled to have chosen ECBG and they have become our default cake studio for all of our future needs.

eeks later, we pulled our cake out of the freezer expecting it to be “still good”... and it still tasted incredible. We have no idea how it held up so perfectly, but somehow it did — moist, flavorful, and just as amazing as on our wedding day. In addition to our stunning cake, we had an incredible variety of desserts including brown butter funfetti blondies (a personal favorite!), cheesecake bites, red velvet cupcakes with cream cheese frosting, macarons, and more. Our guests couldn’t stop raving about the selection — there truly was something for everyone, and every single item was a hit. ECBG was easy to work with, totally professional, our tasting was super fun, and they generally just knocked it out of the park. If you're a Chicago couple looking for top-tier wedding desserts, this is your bakery. We can’t recommend them enough!

uote what we heard all night and the weeks after, it was, "the best cake I've ever had at a wedding." ECBG worked with our florist and incorporated our colors into the existing design seamlessly. Erin and Sarah were very responsive throughout the planning process, and they were enthusiastic to work with me and collaborate on the design. The at-home tasting option was so easy and fun. Our cake ended up being the centerpiece of our cocktail hour, and it was wonderful to have something not only beautiful, but also memorable and delicious.

We had a hard time narrowing down from the fabulous take home tasting box provided (which in itself is super cool and handy since we live out of town) so Erin suggested we just do 4 layers so we could have them all! We asked the kitchen to box up whatever was leftover so we could take them home and enjoy all of the flavors. It was still delicious a few days later at home. We enjoyed out wedding cake for a week after! They also made our dog and had him "taking a bite out of the cake," which was one of my favorite things of the day. I was dragging everyone to look at our beautiful cake and precious pup next to it! I cannot recommend ECBG highly enough...and am already looking forward to our 1 year anniversary when they do a special cake to mark the occasion.

I will say when we first picked up our cake we didn’t love the font of the writing and the color (black) that I chose didn’t go well with the overall look of the cake. ECBG was SO responsive and friendly and were able to quickly update the writing to a delicate cursive and in the same color as the frosting - next level customer service! The cake looked beautiful and tasted amazing. Highly recommend!

Secondly, I didn’t know what I was looking for when it came to a design and all I did was send them a picture from Pinterest and it was PERFECT. It was exactly like the picture. I had so many compliments on the cake, the way it tasted and looked. I couldn’t have asked for a better cake company and plan on returning in the future!

Many people raved about the cake post-wedding & had their favorite picked out between the layers! We are so excited to try the top tier during our 1-year anniversary!!

My Order Manager, Izzy has let me know you were unsatisfied with your order over the weekend. Thank you so much for your feedback. It means a lot to us to try to make each and every experience exceptional. I did take a look at your attachment and your order form to see that it was consistent with what you ordered. My personal recommendation for fillings is something like cream cheese or chocolate pastry cream since the buttercream is always on the outside. A lot of our signature style cakes are done with artist discretion, like color of message, font of message, placement of disco balls etc. - and I am so sorry that was not to your liking. I understand the amount of filling we provided, which is consistent with all of our cakes and to our standard, may not have been your preference and that is okay. Hopefully the guests were still able to enjoy their night! I hope you have a great week! ================= Wow this is customer service... I think not. This was for a birthday imagine if this was for a wedding and you cut into this disaster of a cake at the reception. Anyone reading this please don't make the same mistake I did by ordering a cake from ECBG Cake Studio's.

The ecbg team can’t pretty much do anything. We did a dessert bar so everyone could pick what they wanted instead of table serving the cake…. Working with them on size for our small party (35 people) and design was super easy. We wanted a carrot cake, and it was perfect. Sarah on what our vision was and she was so kind and responsive the entire process. When we finally saw the cake on our wedding day, WOW!! It’s not every day that a cake can steal the show at a wedding, but it was a head turner in the best way possible. Beyond that, our guests loved the cake and we got so many compliments on it throughout the evening! Don’t believe the wedding blogs that say “cakes are a waste of money” - it’s a statement piece and if your use ECBG there will be very little wasted cake as we only had a handful of slices left over (which my father graciously took home as a lover of all things buttercream icing and cake). The entire team is incredible and we loved working with them!

ealize I haven't eaten since 9AM that morning, and when my clients allow me, I have often found that I am able to get the most creative when it comes to details and design of the cake. Cue Erin. She is always up for my fun, client design inspired cakes, and when I came to her saying that I wanted to incorporate things like 15 patterns, 10 colors, shag texture, fondant and DISCO tiers, she said "Say no more. I've gotchu." And got me she did. Our cake was literally INCREDIBLE. Beyond my wildest dreams. I am so grateful to Erin, Sarah and the whole ECBG team for never once saying no to my "more is more" mantra and rolling with the crazy to give me and my now husband the wedding cake we never knew we needed. And BOY did it taste great at the wedding, but it was even more amazing at 4AM in our hotel room after a LOOOOONG night and even BETTER for breakfast the next morning! THANK YOU ECBG TEAM!

The tasting process, which ECBG has made an art in and of itself, was the perfect way to narrow down the flavor combinations. We planned the wedding from out of town, and Erin and her team was very helpful and accommodating.
