Edgewood Golf Course and Event Center

The Edge was the perfect place to have a ceremony and reception. Being located on a golf course made for awesome pictures! I would recommend this venue to anyone who is looking for a beautiful site to have a wedding that isn't going to cost them a fortune!

With every wedding, some things don't go the way they were planned. We had a beautiful wedding at The Edgewood Golf & Dining but a few things did not go as planned. The Bridal Party was supposed to have hors d'oeurves in the Bridal Suite when we arrived and we got them once we sat down at the head table, an hour and a half later and right before being served dinner. The kitchen ran out of an entree even though we gave them the final order in the time frame they asked for to make sure they had enough food before the reception. The event coordinator was supposed to be present to help us with the cake cutting and she was nowhere to be found. There were not enough golf carts out for us to go around and take pictures so we had to have someone bring us more. The kitchen did not put enough cake out for the guests and we had to ask for more. The place cards were supposed to be laid out in the common area for guests to grab them and find their seats, but instead the coordinator put them at the tables...very confusing for our guests! Also, we stated several times to the coordinator that it would be an open bar, but the bartender was not told it was open bar and thought it was a cash bar. There was a lack of communication with the coordinator and her staff. The event coordinator was new at the job and I believe we were her first wedding that she did on her own, and I understand some confusion/mistakes. All in all, it was still a great night and I didn't know about most of this until later. I would recommend this site, just make sure the coordinator is clear about what you want out of your reception!!!

My husband and I love the The Edge (formerly The Edgewood)! When we started looking at reception venues, we wanted a beautiful space, great food, and awesome service. With The Edge, we got all we were looking for. They were very accommodating to our request to have a tasting on our first visit & let us choose items on their regular restaurant menu when the banquet menu wasn't available for that day (and didn't charge us). They then asked us back the following weekend to try out items on their banquet menu that we requested and didn't charge us! Kris, who is the Restaurant/General Manager, and Darlene, the Wedding Coordinator and decorator, were both friendly, helpful, and excited about our big event!! We worked closely with Darlene, who has become our friend, to create a beautiful and fun reception. She had a lot of advice to make our day go smoothly and create a great guest experience. She also did all the beautiful decorations on the tables, the mantle, the memorial wall, and even incorporated the flowers from the ceremony. She always kept working on our designs, especially the centerpieces, until she had it just right for us. The food was delicious and our guests loved it! The servers were attentive and made our guests feel welcome too! The entire building and the grounds are well maintained and very beautiful and cozy. The banquet hall is very nice and roomy, without being cavernous. The only drawback to the banquet room was the folding room divider, which split into 2 parts and sat against the wall. Most brides don't mind the dividers, but I really wanted to cover them with fabric to create the ambiance we were looking for. The Edge had no problem with me covering them and Darlene was extremely helpful in getting the fabric covers designed and then placed on our wedding day! Overall, a wonderful experience for us and a good price as well!! My husband and I have eaten there many times besides our wedding and plan on going back frequently. We highly recommend The Edge for your wedding!
