They decided on a delicious 5 tier cake with different flavors on each tier-Sweet Potato Honeybun on the very top for themselves, Red Velvet, Amaretto, Pineapple Pound Cake and Vanilla Almond. Each layer was moist and delicious. When our guest list ballooned to just about 300 people, Elaine made it super easy for us to order an additional sheet cake/kitchen cake in the Bride & Groom’s preferred flavor (Vanilla Almond) to ensure that all the guests had enough and could take some slices home in treat boxes. Additionally, Elaine took an interest in pointing us in the direction of other vendors in the area that could be of great help in pulling off one of the most special and important day a family can have and we greatly appreciated her helpful and useful referrals. because as a visual artist, I can be particular. Elaine shares my sentiments and without prompting explained to us how her cakes are never leaning, never askew, and never cracking. I saw an example at our tasting and asked her to replicate that with a color change - she did just that. Elaine had some of the most creative flavors of the vendors we tried. Oh My Gosh! This was the part of the planning that my husband and I were most looking forward to. We sampled cakes at bakeries all over Greensboro but I stumbled upon Edible Artistry at the Greensboro Wedding Fair.

tely beyond words. Her skill with decorating blew me away at the Fair and I was not disappointed at our first consultation. Selecting a cake was easy - she explained the sizes and design choices and gave us samples of each of her flavors (and she had SO MANY!). We simply fell in love with the Vanilla Cream, Mexican Chocolate, and Pink Lemonade cakes and chose this flavors for our three tiers. I even showed her a picture of what I wanted my cake to look like and she nailed it! It was perfect!
I would recommend going a size up for her cakes than you normally would. We had a small wedding of 75 and went with an 83 slice 3 tier cake. To my surprise we had none left after the wedding (minus the top, small tier we stole - :D ). Everyone loved the cake so much our guests were going up for seconds and thirds even! I have not been to a wedding where the cake actually disappeared and I was so surprised! Everyone raved about it and I still see posts on my FB feed about that cake!
All in all, Elaine was amazing to work with. She was easy to get a hold of, replied to my emailed questions quickly and really blew me away with the cake she created. It was a dream come true! We will be back for our anniversary next year!
