We have been so happy with our experience working with Matt thus far. Matt's friendly personality is obvious in all his email communications, so I knew pretty quickly he'd be a great fit for our day. Matt has always been quick to respond to emails, open to requests/seeks your feedback during the editing process, & has been so helpful and accommodating with all that has come with COVID rescheduling. Despite the crazy COVID wedding season, we received our sneak peek video in < 2 weeks! Day of, Matt & Sandy arrived early, were fun to work with, gave good direction/recommendations, and left us forgetting there were cameras on us all day. Packages are more than reasonable & include more features (like drone footage) than you will find anywhere else! We were so pleased with our experience & the high quality audio/video we've seen so far & we can't wait to see the full video!

Matt was our videographer for our wedding and he did an amazing job! My husband and I booked Editing Life Videography in February 2021 for our wedding in October 2021. Matt was so great to work with leading up to the wedding, during it, and after it! He was one of the preferred vendors for our venue so he really knew our venue and the best places to shoot! We are so glad that we went with Matt and his company and recommend him to anyone looking to hire a videographer!!

Matt was our videographer and he was great! We were originally supposed to get married in 2020, but covid.. there was no hassle or charge to move our date and contract to 2021. Day of, he arrived promptly at my parents house where the girls were getting ready and during a monsoon, left my parents house to head to the venue to get setup for footage there. During the ceremony and reception, I hardy noticed he was there, and that’s a great thing! While we were on our honeymoon, I received an email that our sneak peak video was posted- less than a week after the wedding. While just a sneak peak (about 15 minutes long), it was amazing to see what he had done in a short time and I loved being able to look back on our big day so quickly. I can’t wait to see the rest of the video footage, and definitely recommend Matt and Editing Life Videography!

Matt was a great addition to our wedding! He was very helpful throughout the planning AND postponement process! He was always ready to answer any questions we had. Our day of was very stress free from our vendors! Matt made suggestions for us to make the best moves for our video! We reached out to Matt about two months before our Sept 2020 wedding, right as we were making the difficult decision to drastically reduce our invite list for our ceremony and to push our reception out to 2021. He was so responsive, welcoming, and flexible right from the start. We still wanted our friends and family to be able to take part in our day, and Matt and Julia not only flawlessly executed a livestream to allow everyone to join from home but also produced beautiful long and short-format footage that we can't wait to show at our 'sequel wedding' reception this year. The drone footage to set the scene was absolutely fantastic, and their work truly shined especially in the long-format film! We couldn't recommend this team enough!

Oh my goodness- where do I begin? First of all, planning a wedding during a pandemic is no easy task. If there is any silver lining, though, it is that you really see what these vendors are made of. When you have to plan a wedding THREE times, you see just how much patience, flexibility and professionalism is out there, and Editing Life was absolutely incredible. We were recommended Editing Life by good friends of ours back in 2018, and made the decision to use them based off of Matt's quick communication and excellent work. When we were forced to make many scheduling/location changes, we saw just how great the Beurhauses were. Before our wedding day even arrived, I was SO impressed by the quick communication, understanding and flexibility of Editing Life. I know that this year has been so tough for wedding vendors, but you would never know because of how great their attitude was during the whole process. When our wedding day got here, I already felt like I knew Matt and wanted to give him a HUGE hug for all of the help that he had already provided. Like I mentioned before, we had many changes, and he was able to add a live stream and PA system as well for those relatives who weren't able to make it. The day of the wedding, Matt and Julia were absolutely amazing. They are true wedding professionals and went above and beyond their job descriptions. Julia fixed my dress, Matt fixed the fence at the church, they helped with flowers, I mean they are truly just amazing. On top of this, we quickly got a sneak peek video that we are absolutely in love with. I really can’t recommend them enough. If you are on the fence, let this be a testament to HIRE THEM NOW.

After our original wedding in Florida was postponed to February due to COVID, my fiancé and I decided we couldn't wait any longer and were going to have a micro ceremony with only our parents at his family home in Maryland. I was totally unfamiliar with the area and did not know any local vendors. My Officiant recommended Matt to me, and I am so happy that he did. Somehow, they stayed completely out of the way but still got all the perfect shots. They were very familiar with the rules at the Naval Academy, and you could tell they were very experienced. They captured so many wonderful moments of our day and it has been so much fun to look back on! We received a sneak peak just days after the wedding, and Matt was also able to provide us with some special footage of a funny and memorable moment during our ceremony. Matt was our videographer for our wedding 9/21 and from the sneak peak it looks like him and his wife did a fantastic job at capturing our special moments. I really loved how the camera zoomed in on me and my dad's face during an emotional moment during the father-daughter dance. The quality of the film is movie like and clear. Exactly what I was hoping for. Matt is also SUPER quick at returning emails and phone calls which was so refreshing. I cant rave enough about Matt! He and his wife are so great. I would absolutely recommend them.

A videographer was the last wedding vendor that I researched, because at first I thought I would be fine with just having a photographer for my wedding. But after further consideration, I realized how invaluable it would be to actually be able to re-live my wedding day by hearing the sounds of it on a video, and so began my search for a videographer. I actually met with a few different videographers, but was not all that impressed with their work from what I had seen on their website. We were looking for someone who would provide us with an edited video, but who would not cut out important things and just set the entire video to music selections. We wanted to actually hear the song playing for our first dance, and the voices of our MOH and Best Man delivering their toasts, and not have the entire video set to music. And so my search for this landed me upon Matt Buerhaus. We emailed back and forth a few times and then set up an initial consultation. Right from the start, I could tell that videography was a true passion of Matt's. We decided to book him as our vendor about a week later, after the holidays. In the time that had elapsed from my initial contact with Matt to when we officially booked him, I noted that his package prices changed on his website. He had been having a fall sale when I first researched his company, but the sale was no longer in effect. I inquired about this, and Matt very willingly honored the sale price for us, which I thought was very professional of him. We didn't need to speak with Matt much until closer to the actual wedding, at which time we filled out his planning worksheet with details about the wedding and also our editing preferences and then submitted it, and that was it! Matt showed up earlier than our contracted start time on the day of the wedding and took some video of my bridesmaids and I as well as my husband and his groomsmen getting ready before the ceremony. We opted for a 2-videographer package just before the wedding as well as a copy of all of the raw footage. I can honestly say that Matt and his assistant did a wonderful job of blending in with the crowd at the reception and even at the ceremony actually, because I have to admit that I don't recall seeing much of him! He definitely did not interfere with any candid moments of the wedding, and I can just recall him circling the dance floor with his camera elevated on a pole to capture all of my friends' amazing dance moves (haha!) but completely unobtrusively, which was wonderful. Within like 48 hours of my wedding, Matt posted a "First Look" video on his website, which is our entire first dance. It was so awesome to get that sneak peek while we were on our honeymoon, and only makes me more excited to see the video in its entirety!! I am so thankful that I decided to book a videographer, and am so happy that I chose such a wonderful company to use for my wedding! For any bride who is on the fence about whether to book a videographer or not, I would wholeheartedly say Do it!! You get something from the video that photographs just can't transmit.

I found Matt through Weddingwire and I was very impressive with his website and great reviews. We found out right after that one of our best friends had Matt videographing their wedding and they HIGHLY reccommended him. I had no doubts that he would be the best after exchanging few e-mails with him and watching few of his samples. Matt was always VERY responsive and super helpful. I had so many questions, requests and he was always the sweetest person! It was really a pleasure to work with him. He did an amazing photo montage, exactly how we wanted and I did not even need to tell him “much”. He was so patient dealing with so many Brazilian girls (bridesmaids – some did not speak a word in English) during our getting ready. I loved our “highlights” and was already crying watching it. He was able even on the highlights to use all the special moments. Watching our wedding video I am almost speechless. It is just PERFECT! He was able to capture every single moment, all the details! He did an AMAZING job. I cried from the beginning to the end and was impressed with all the details he was able to capture. My husband, who did not want a videographer is so grateful and also loved watching our special day. I am VERY grateful to have found Matt. We could not be happier!
