would go by fast and we didn’t want to miss a memory. Yes photography is wonderful, but videography is such a wonderful addition. My husband, mom and I met Matt and his wife Julia at a wedding expo. At that point I had already contacted over 5 videographers and wasn’t 100% satisfied with any of them. The packages and quality of work that Matt and his team do is most definitely top notch. The team at Editing Life Videography were able to provide extensive knowledge about their services and what to look for and what to stay away from with other videography businesses. His wife Julia and dad Mike were the two videographers we had. Julia’s eye for those special detail shots and Mike’s friendly personality made our day great! Mike convinced even our camera shy guests to leave us a video memo. In 7 days from our wedding, we got a sneak peak preview which exceeded our expectations! It was so wonderful to re-live that special day in just less than 30 minutes. We CANNOT wait to see the final product as we know it will be just as wonderful and more!

Little glances with each other, dancing, hugs with family – all these things look great in photography, but even better on video! Matt and his team are true experts. His wife, Julia, captured our wedding and we could not have been more impressed. She was so discrete, I hardly noticed her at all! The “sneak peek” video was worth what we paid for the entire service, in my opinion, and was ready in a matter of days!! So, to receive all the wedding content in addition is just magnificent. id, and Matt and Julia were able to get us our ceremony video so quickly to share with family and friends. Having the video of our wedding also allowed us to share our special day with our grandmothers before they passed, which we will always cherish. We then got married again in 2022 with a full ceremony and cerebration with family and friends, and of course had them for video coverage again. We got our sneak peek video so quickly and were able to share it with family and friends again. I should also mention that Matt has a drone - which makes for really cool footage of your venue. Editing Life Videography is the best and I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for video for their wedding.

Despite the crazy COVID wedding season, we received our sneak peek video in < 2 weeks! Day of, Matt & Sandy arrived early, were fun to work with, gave good direction/recommendations, and left us forgetting there were cameras on us all day. Packages are more than reasonable & include more features (like drone footage) than you will find anywhere else! During the ceremony and reception, I hardy noticed he was there, and that’s a great thing! While we were on our honeymoon, I received an email that our sneak peak video was posted- less than a week after the wedding. While just a sneak peak (about 15 minutes long), it was amazing to see what he had done in a short time and I loved being able to look back on our big day so quickly. n the day of, he sent his parents, Mike and Sandy, to shoot the wedding at the Naval Academy. They were both very kind and helpful and we hardly even knew they were there! Somehow, they stayed completely out of the way but still got all the perfect shots. They were very familiar with the rules at the Naval Academy, and you could tell they were very experienced. They captured so many wonderful moments of our day and it has been so much fun to look back on! We received a sneak peak just days after the wedding, and Matt was also able to provide us with some special footage of a funny and memorable moment during our ceremony. The whole team was great to work with - very responsive, friendly, and helpful in all aspects. We couldn’t have made a better choice!

Matt is also SUPER quick at returning emails and phone calls which was so refreshing. I cant rave enough about Matt! He and his wife are so great. I would absolutely recommend them.

ation, I realized how invaluable it would be to actually be able to re-live my wedding day by hearing the sounds of it on a video, and so began my search for a videographer. I actually met with a few different videographers, but was not all that impressed with their work from what I had seen on their website. We were looking for someone who would provide us with an edited video, but who would not cut out important things and just set the entire video to music selections. We wanted to actually hear the song playing for our first dance, and the voices of our MOH and Best Man delivering their toasts, and not have the entire video set to music. And so my search for this landed me upon Matt Buerhaus. We emailed back and forth a few times and then set up an initial consultation. Right from the start, I could tell that videography was a true passion of Matt's. We decided to book him as our vendor about a week later, after the holidays. In the time that had elapsed from my initial contact with Matt to when we officially booked him, I noted that his package prices changed on his website. He had been having a fall sale when I first researched his company, but the sale was no longer in effect. I inquired about this, and Matt very willingly honored the sale price for us, which I thought was very professional of him. We didn't need to speak with Matt much until closer to the actual wedding, at which time we filled out his planning worksheet with details about the wedding and also our editing preferences and then submitted it, and that was it! Matt showed up earlier than our contracted start time on the day of the wedding and took some video of my bridesmaids and I as well as my husband and his groomsmen getting ready before the ceremony. We opted for a 2-videographer package just before the wedding as well as a copy of all of the raw footage. I can honestly say that Matt and his assistant did a wonderful job of blending in with the crowd at the reception and even at the ceremony actually, because I have to admit that I don't recall seeing much of him! He definitely did not interfere with any candid moments of the wedding, and I can just recall him circling the dance floor with his camera elevated on a pole to capture all of my friends' amazing dance moves (haha!) but completely unobtrusively, which was wonderful. Within like 48 hours of my wedding, Matt posted a "First Look" video on his website, which is our entire first dance. It was so awesome to get that sneak peek while we were on our honeymoon, and only makes me more excited to see the video in its entirety!! I am so thankful that I decided to book a videographer, and am so happy that I chose such a wonderful company to use for my wedding! For any bride who is on the fence about whether to book a videographer or not, I would wholeheartedly say Do it!! You get something from the video that photographs just can't transmit.
