Edye Sanford - Designs from the Edge

After visiting multiple seamstresses, I finally decided to have Edye alter my dress. I was told by various seamstresses that my seemingly simple dress was actually quite intricate based on the types of fabric and lace that it had. This made me quite nervous to have anyone touch it, especially after visiting some seamstresses, including one who told me that they could not alter it since the fabric was "no good." However, Edye instilled the utmost confidence in me about her skills, and explained everything step by step of what she would do. This helped calm my anxious self, as I was confident that my dress would come back together perfectly. I had a horsehair bottom for the outer layer of my dress, which made it more difficult to bustle than many dresses. However, Edye suggested the perfect French bustle, which was ultimately what I decided to go with. I was impressed with how Edye seemed to do everything in a way that would not compromise the integrity of the dress, while ensuring that it fit me perfectly. She was absolutely awesome and I'm glad that I went with her!
