Effortless Sentiments

It sounds like Ariel was a great coordinator before she took her old full time job back and failed to find the necessary balancing act to do her clients justice. First, I was put ill-at-ease when I had to double email her my contracts and decor information a week past the point when she was meant to have started coordinating. I was further disappointed that she missed details in contracts that I later fixed myself, which would have cost me $500 if I hadn't caught, failing to perform the pre-wedding part of her services as advertised. She also made purely idiotic choices, like seating table 2 at the opposite end of the room from the head table, creating a nightmare every time I tried to talk to my parents. She also put out all of the table numbers in a fashion that seemed entirely random- how on earth did table 10 wind up next to 1 and 4?? She she was so incompetent she fr couldn't even put our cake-topper in correctly. But the main reason for my negative review is her choice to depart the wedding 3 hours early with little warning and no explanation. As a result, at the end of the night, the bridal party had to dash around the venue collecting table numbers and guest books (one of which appears to be lost forever and it was from the table with a terminally ill guest). Lastly, her subcontracted planner, Malaysha, missing my rehearsal by an hour, forcing the venue to step in and lead the rehearsal instead. Then, when I raised my disappointment to Ariel after the wedding, trying to give her a chance to forestall me posting this review, she accused my venue, my bridal party, and "most of my guests" of racist treatment. Giving her the benefit of the doubt, I asked around Tony guests of color and other vehemently anti-racist friends if they had witnessed anything and came up empty. She lied. She's a great decorator, but she should not be billing her services as coordinating because the only part of the job she performed was decor.
