as she is the event coordinator. We fell in love with how beautiful the venue was, but also with everything Egypt Valley had to offer. We were looking for a venue that allowed us to get married and have our reception in the same place, which EVCC offered. They also do all off the catering (appetizers, dinner, dessert, and wedding cake) and bar services. This made things a little easier, as we did not have to find other vendors. When we did our taste test, the food was amazing. They offered a wide variety of food, and Colleen was very knowledgeable as to how much would need to be ordered for the number of guests we were expecting to have. Unfortunately our wedding was supposed to be to be in June 2024, when the ceiling in the large ballroom collapsed. Colleen and the EVCC staff were so supportive, and worked so hard on finding us another venue and a catering service to allow us to have our wedding still, as we were no longer able to have it at EVCC. Colleen stayed in contact with us throughout the entire process. When the ceiling collapsed, it was Colleen who reached out to other venues and catering services to find us a place for our wedding, and she was successful! Our experience working with Colleen and EVCC was amazing, I recommend them to anyone who is looking for amazing food and a beautiful venue. All of the staff was polite, respectful, and professional, always making sure we had been helped, and asking if they could help in any way.

g day. She answered all our million questions with very detailed responses and was always super friendly! Every detail for the day was planned out and written down so everyone was on the same page. Day of she was there checking in to make sure everything was going well. She was also a LIFESAVER when she brought out curling irons when my hair started to lose its curls and we needed to re-curl it before the ceremony.
The bridal suite is a definite must – it is a great space for getting ready and they have so many items in case you forget something! We were also able to order in a lunch buffet and let me tell you their grilled cheese and tomato soup is SO GOOD.
Egypt Valley is such a beautiful spot all around! We were going to have our ceremony out on the 10th tee box on the golf course – breathtaking background. Unfortunately, it rained on our wedding day, but we made the best of it. Colleen was able to quickly rearrange the small ballroom from our cocktail hour room into the ceremony room. AND she was able to get our money back for renting the ceremony chairs that we didn’t need anymore. I definitely recommend having the ceremony outside though, and taking pictures out on the course if weather permits.
The large ballroom is a gorgeous space, we had the head table on risers and the dance floor in the middle, with round tables on each side. The room was perfect for our ~125 people wedding. The ballroom was all set up the day before and we were able to drop things off at our rehearsal which made things a lot easier day of as well! They have SO MANY napkin color options and we were able to pick one that matched our colors almost exactly – if you’re into things matching like me it will make you happy. You don’t need chair covers – their chairs are a nice green and not ugly!
The food was delicious! We got so many compliments from guests about how much they loved the food. We did a buffet style with chicken cordon bleu, grilled salmon, dauphinoise scalloped potatoes, steamed broccoli, and sauteed julienne vegetables. The grilled vegetable risotto (plated) for guests with allergies/dietary restrictions was also a huge hit. The waitstaff were AMAZING – so friendly and helpful.
We also ordered our cake through the Egypt Valley bakery. They were able to make our vision come true with some inspiration photos and it was delicious. I definitely recommend doing a small cutter cake for photos and then sheet cakes in the back to serve to the guests. We had a 2 tier cutting cake and 2 sheet cakes and there were only 3 pieces left at the end of the night. We got to take the leftover cake home, and they make you a new one on your one year anniversary (no having to freeze the top layer of the cake!).

December wedding with a warm, elegant atmosphere. The ceremony space and ballroom for the reception are both classically decorated with many windows providing natural light. The beautiful light fixtures stole our hearts and created the warm glow that we were looking for. And the stunning, elegant Christmas decorations added so much to the look of our special day.
The venue itself left nothing to be desired but Emily, Egypt Valley’s event coordinator, is the true star of the show. She was an absolute delight to work with from our first visit, through all of the “small detail” meetings, to the big day when she kept our nerves at bay by keeping everything (and everyone) running smoothly. We genuinely believe we couldn’t have planned such a perfect wedding without her. Her kindness, positive attitude and talent at what she does shines through every interaction with her.
Our wedding ceremony and reception went off without a hitch! Our guests appreciated being able to walk straight from the ceremony into the cocktail hour (held in our reception space so people could sit at their leisure). The food was AMAZING! Friends have told us that they left our reception feeling full - not a common feeling at the end of a wedding. And every single staff member was kind and helpful throughout the entire day.

We want to give an extra shout out to Emily and Colleen who were willing to video chat with us on many occasions as we are from out of state.
The venue is stunning, especially the ballrooms upstairs (we had an indoor ceremony in the small ballroom). The decoration is very elegant and looks very up to date. The lighting in the ballroom really makes the room stunning and looks so cool when it gets dark outside. There are plenty of beautiful picture locations both indoors and outdoors to catch that perfect shot.
There are no dedicated rooms for the wedding parties to get ready in, however the locker rooms are available. The girls opted to get ready offsite, but the groomsmen used the locker room and found it very nice.
The food here was hands down the best of all the places we tried out and of any wedding we have been to lately (and that's not an exaggeration). We chose the Chicken Cordon Bleu and the Braised Beef and everyone loved it. Drinks are charged individually which had us a little concerned, but the pours were very generous and the price came out less than we expected.

Her level of professionalism is above and beyond anything we could have hoped for. Her timeline was down to the minute and easy to follow. It kept us all on track and less nervous. But what was the best was how she truly cared for us all! She made sure we had everything we needed right down to a drink of water! Her funniness kept the day lighthearted and fun which is exactly how my daughter envisioned her best day! The waitstaff were so accommodating. Especially to our 2 year old flower girl who didn't get a nap that day and fell asleep during dinner. The food was plentiful and absolutely delicious!! (with an on-site cocktail hour in between) and the entire day was so gorgeous. The ballroom is beautiful, and with candles in the windows at night, the ambience is unbelievable. Also, the food was phenomenal!! Our guests commented on how amazing the appetizers were and how great dinner was! We also got late night pizza, which I assume was good because it was gone by the time I walked over!
And I have to talk about Emily, Egypt Valley’s wedding coordinator. She will make you feel like she’s your own personal wedding planner and your new best friend wrapped into one! I can honestly say that I could not have planned my wedding without Emily’s help. I would recommend this venue based on her alone. But when you add the gorgeous golf course, beautiful ballroom and amazing food- I honestly think this is the best wedding venue in the Grand Rapids area. If I could give it 6 stars, I would!!

The venue itself is a beautiful golf clubhouse with a very modern feel to it. We always felt welcome there and the staff was always very helpful. Even though our wedding had to be moved indoors due to the weather, it turned out to be just as beautiful indoors as it was outdoors.
The food was something that all of our guests raved about during and after the wedding day. The amount of choices they have made it flexible for anyone's food interests, and everything tasted amazing.
The pastry chef did a perfect job with the cake, and was able to reproduce the exact look we were going for with our cake. The cake was so delicious, that we are looking forward to going back for our first anniversary for a new one to celebrate.
The wedding coordinator Elizabeth was pivotal to our day being the success that it was. She was so incredibly helpful every step of the way, and we were never uneasy due to her thoroughness and ability to take charge when the situation required it. We knew that we could always go to her with any problem or question, and it would always be taken care of. We would recommend this venue alone just because of Elizabeth.
Overall, we consider ourselves very lucky that our first venue fell through, because Egypt Valley was perfect for us, and we couldn't imagine our day taking place anywhere else.

We had our wedding in September 2016, the day was perfect and good weather perfect for pictures too! The food, cake/cupcakes, drinks etc. we're delicious and was told my all my guests this was the best wedding food ever! The serves are also the best! Nice, kind and on it! You are able to bring in some vendors but have to use their catering which I highly receommend along with their pastry chef. Last but not least the event coordinator Elizabeth is phenomenal!!! She is outgoing, respectful, on top of things, gives ideas and makes your ideas and setting up happen! We also had rehearsal dinner at EV and she was their making sure things were perfect for our wedding day! We can't thank her enough for being a part of our special day. -notch! Their events manager, Elizabeth, made our planning a breeze - she was so helpful and prepared. She asked us questions that we hadn't even thought of considering, and offered up her expert advice when we asked for some direction. She worked closely with us to ensure every detail was covered and that every thing was accounted for. Her personality and ability to multi-task made my life easier, which made our wedding planning that much more enjoyable! When we went in to set up the day before our wedding, I was looking around the room wondering where things should go, and she weighed in telling me what would work best for flow (like our guestbook, decorations, etc)... Then she even offered to set up our decor items for us! Which I was SO thankful for because interior design is not my forte.
Things like guests trying to switch their assigned table numbers caused issues at the reception, but Elizabeth handled it all in stride and figured the issue out without involving me and stressing me out. She also dealt with the tech issue our videographer caused - she handled potentially big issues and turned them into small bumps in the road which no one even noticed - she made our day perfect! We wouldn't change a thing about our reception and highly recommend Egypt Valley CC!

My daughter had been dreaming about her wedding day since she was a young girl and for years she was observing at the weddings she attended the settings and décor etc. She was too young then to know as a young girl that to make her dreams come true on her wedding day that it not only takes a beautiful facility but also that a personal and caring staff is key. EVCC provided a beautiful setting inside and outside their facility and even more importantly at every level the staff helped her in every way to have the wedding of her dreams – beautiful and perfect. Each staff person we worked with listened intently and cared about meeting the needs of the Bride-to-be. The wedding cake made by the pastry chef at EVVC was beautiful and even more importantly many of our guests commented that it was the best tasting wedding cake they had ever had, that was after they commented about the “wedding food”. Unsolicited, we heard from a number of our guests that the “wedding food” was the best that they had ever had.
