Once you see how they capture your loved ones, it takes their work to a whole new level. They somehow capture the essence of people and their emotions so well. Additionally, they are amazing at getting kids to look at/smile for photos. Okay, so that’s the photo part, which is incredibly important, but ultimately, there are other things you want to consider when you’re picking a photo team for your big day. Namely: you spend more time with your photo/video team than nearly anyone else at your wedding. You want to get along with them. Lauren and Jamie are just the absolute best people, we wanted to hang out with them all day. AND Lauren and Jamie go above and beyond—they of course get the shots you want—but they also look for the right light, the cool background, and they work with you as much or as little on your overall wedding. I am almost embarrassed at the number of questions I ended up emailing Lauren throughout the process, but she handled it all with so much grace and enthusiasm. The other thing that people sometimes forget to think about is that photographers and videographers can be intrusive because they, of course, are trying to get the good moments. I think everyone has been to the wedding where the photo/video team was in the way the whole time. NOT SO with Lauren and Jamie. At our wedding, we ended up with a team of 5 and neither we nor our guests barely noticed they were there. Somehow they are everywhere and nowhere, silently grabbing the most incredible shots. Is this review too long? Probably because it can be encapsulated in one sentence: The Eichars are the team you want.

dian wedding because of Covid but we wanted to find a way to still celebrate getting married. We worked with Lauren and Jamie to plan a 2 day adventure in the most stunning locations in the Bay area for our two wedding outfits. We planned this a year out and because we lived in DC, relied on them for advice on locations that would be great, special spots to go in full Indian bridal attire. They were so helpful and knowledgable both about the area and Indian weddings, and planned out the perfect spots for us. We knew from their portfolio we would get some great photos. What we weren't prepared for was literally loving every single photo they took. Going through the gallery every photo we saw became our favorite. Lauren and Jamie are masters at capturing amazing light in their photos. They are incredible at framing you and the backdrop into the perfect image. Their photos are pieces of art - exactly what we wanted. They honored our traditions, photographed the beauty of Indian wedding clothes and jewelry, and captured our joy in their photos. And frankly, they are super fun, lovely, and light hearted people which you really want when taking hundreds of photos! We are so very grateful to them for creating the special wedding feeling we had been missing and capturing beautiful memories we can share with family and friends. Truly, they are an incredible team.

w husband and I are very camera shy, and Lauren and Jamie guided us in making sure we were comfortable in front of the camera on our wedding day. When we got the pictures and videos back, we were floored -- Lauren is an expert of capturing all of the candid, emotional, and beautiful moments of the day, and Jamie's videography made us feel like we were in a Hollywood movie! They were on time, they helped us create a viable timeline for our wedding day, they coordinated our first look (extra shoutout to Lauren for hiding me from my husband who ended up parking next to us at our first look site!), they shepherded all our family for portraits, they even reminded us to kiss after our cake cutting. They captured all the moments - the posed portraits and the spontaneous candids with our friends and family - in such a beautiful way that only those with a truly experienced eye can do. Truly above and beyond our wildest dreams and expectations both leading up to and on the day of our wedding. (As a side note, our engagement shoot with Lauren was SO much fun, like we were hanging out with a friend. Our engagement photos caused quite the hubbub with our friends and family who all adored them as much as we did!) But so much more than their professionalism and their artistic talent, if you choose the Eichars as your photographers (and/or videographers), you are picking two beautiful people who will make your day so easy. They somehow directed me and my husband, who are both not comfy in front of the lens, without seeming demanding or abrasive. They helped us to enjoy each moment without worry because we knew they had our back. Working with them was such a treasured memory of the whole wedding planning process. Do yourself a favor and work with the Eichars. Ask about their sweet baby and favorite hiking trails. And know that one of the most important aspects of wedding planning - the photography (and/or videography) - is in capable, talented, authentically good hands.

ecome aware, it is extremely difficult to find vendors that check every box of what you envisioned for your wedding, but having to search in a completely different state is a whole other mission in itself. Quality pictures were our #1 priority because we wanted to look back and relive our special day years from now. Lauren and Jamie absolutely delivered in every aspect. The moment we met them, we instantly fell in love. We had many calls/zooms/emails before the big day to make sure the day went as smoothly and as perfectly as we had hoped. They were 10000% the easiest (and our most favorite) people to work with. We completely trusted them to work their magic, and they did exactly that! They even were completely willing to help out in other areas of the wedding by providing recommendations and suggestions on what they have seen work best through their experience. On the day of the wedding (the first time we were meeting face to face), they were incredibly professional, but it also felt like we had known them our whole entire life. Both of them arrived earlier than planned to scope out the perfect spots for our pictures. Throughout the day, they were organized and kept us on schedule. When we weren’t taking couple and family portraits, they blended into the crowd and you could hardly tell they were there. They listened to everything we wanted, but also found opportunities in the moment to try new spots/poses. Some of my absolute favorite pictures were the ones that were not planned, which shows they have an eye for the perfect shot. We literally hiked up a huge hill at our venue during cocktail hour where they took some of the most breathtaking photos; this is a moment I will remember forever! My husband and I are not people that are used to taking professional pictures so we were kind of nervous about this, but since they were married, they were able to reenact and show us poses, which we found very helpful. BUT they also allowed us to be in the moment and truly take in this day together, which allowed for beautiful candid shots. They also made us feel so comfortable and special, making the pictures that much more perfect. However, it was the moments in between that were our favorites, where we just got to know who they were and talk about life. They are not only INCREDIBLE photographers but some of the most down-to-earth, friendly, inclusive, and welcoming people we have ever met. Truly, they added so much joy to an already magical day. THE PICTURES. We received some pictures a couple days after the wedding and from those we were already blown away. However, when we received the full gallery, we were absolutely STUNNED to say the least. The quality and detail that went into every single picture was truly a work of art. My husband, our family and friends, and I were truly amazed at how they captured every single moment of the day PERFECTLY. They sent soooo many pictures and every single one is flawless. Our only complaint is how we are supposed to choose which ones to hang in our home because they are all perfect. Clearly, I could go on and on about them as photographers and people! Basically, what I am trying to say is you will not regret booking with them. They are worth every penny and MORE!

when we reached out, they instantly responded and set up a zoom call so we could talk more in person and get to know each other better. They wanted to make sure we had good connections before we officially booked which we appreciated so much. They were easy to talk to and really listened to what we had planned for our wedding and what we wanted in a photographer. They sent over past photo sessions and even sent us pictures they had taken from our venue. Towards the wedding, they sent over an amazingly helpful questionnaire & document that went over pretty much everything you needed to know before your day of. SUPER helpful. We were already so excited for them to take our pictures before we even met them in person. However, we were shocked even more on our wedding day because Jamie & Lauren went ABOVE & BEYOND. They were quick, got the perfect shots, and made sure to follow our shot list so they got all the shots we wanted. We got to see a little sneak peek at the wedding of some of their shots and those alone without any edits were so perfect. They even sent us a handful of shots, edited not long after the wedding day and they were breathtaking. Lauren & Jamie are truly kind, genuine people and we felt so blessed to not only meet them but to have the wedding shot by them. They have a true talent and have the perfect eye for capturing the beautiful moments. They will come into your life and become friends who you feel like you’ve known forever. We would use them for every event in the future and highly recommend them. So happy we found them. Our favorite vendors of the wedding!

019 and fell in love with their work after our engagement shoot. We were nervous to be in front of the camera at first, but they made us feel confident throughout the experience. More importantly- we had SO MUCH FUN at our first shoot and were blown away with the gallery they created. Fast forward to 2020 when we had to postpone our wedding due to COVID-19. The first thing Lauren told me when I shared the news was: "Don't worry, we will make this work. How are you doing, are YOU okay?". This encompasses how Jamie and Lauren approach their work. They care for their clients in a way that goes above and beyond what you would expect from your photographers. We later asked them to take photos (and video!) for our 2020 elopement ceremony. Jamie even found the location of where to shoot, taking on even more responsibility off my shoulders during the stress of planning. I've since watched the video they created more times than I can count and still haven't successfully watched it without tearing up... The Eichars finally got to shoot our 2021 wedding and by no surprise, they knocked it out of the park. They are able to capture moments you will cherish forever, but do so without taking you away from being present on your big day. Being confident in your photographer allows you to enjoy your wedding day without any worries. Lastly, they are quick- they provide preview photos as a sneak peak and deliver their galleries promptly without taking away from their quality of work. We love you, Eichar Photography!
