Such a stunning location! As the house can only comfortably accommodate 50 people, we ended up having the ceremony on the porch and reception on the lawn and could not have been happier. Also, Mallory was amazing to work with. She was incredibly flexible and responsive. All of our guests complimented the venue. They do not provide any other services, so you will have to find separate vendors for catering, tents, music, etc. However, Eisenhower House was able to give us a list of recommendations and vendors who were familiar with the venue. We could not be more grateful. Thank you!!
Our wedding at Eisenhower House this October was absolutely incredible! We had the best weekend of our lives, and the team was wonderful to work with. Mallory Rennick was our point of contact and was incredibly helpful, responsive, and detailed from the very start! We could not have asked for a better weekend and have not stopped hearing compliments from our friends & family!
I could not recommend Eisenhower House more. I have grown up hoping that I would someday get married at this location - and my dream came true thanks to an amazing staff and beautiful venue! Mallory and Emily were so helpful the entire ~15 months I was planning my wedding - answering every question I had very promptly, with kindness. The staff members on site the day of our wedding were so nice and helpful. I truly can't imagine getting married anywhere else. Thank you Eisenhower House staff for all that you do - our wedding was perfect! Highly recommend.
The staff at Eisenhower House were phenomenal -beginning with Mallory and onto the staff that were on the evening of my daughter's wedding. That is what brought ease to the perfect setting and night.
Absolutely stunning venue with a huge yard in Fort Adams, Newport, RI. Mallory is the most amazing person to work with and is incredibly knowledgeable and helpful when it comes to any questions and advice!
Eisenhower House couldn't have suited our family's needs better! Mallory was an excellent guide and source of advice throughout the process. We were looking for a venue that showed the best that Rhode Island had to offer with plenty of room for customization and flexibility to account for our taste and changing pandemic-related travel conditions. Eisenhower House certainly fit the bill. Trish was an excellent day-of manager, keeping us on schedule and well organized.
The bride/groom "getting ready" suites were ideal. The view could not have been beat (we were so lucky with weather!). We loved the ability to choose and customize our vendors while still being grounded in a well-maintained, historic, and beautiful setting.
This venue offered flexibility and professionalism with classic New England charm. We would absolutely recommend it!
The Eisenhower House was the perfect location for our 48 person wedding. More importantly, Mallory and team went above and beyond to ensure that our day was perfect. Not only is the view at the Eisenhower House incredible, the bride/groom suites are large and inviting. We could not be happier with the whole experience.
If you are looking for a stunning and well maintained property, gorgeous views of the Newport Harbor, and something a little different, Eisenhower House is for you! I could not be happier that my husband and I chose to have our special day here. It was absolutely perfect in every way. It's historic, "New England" and elegant in a more understated way. You can dress it up and have a fancy soiree or keep it peachy casual, great for both!
Mallory and her team were beyond helpful in the decision making process, through all stages of planning and day of. I cannot express this enough. Great team all around!
The Eisenhower House was a truly magical venue for our wedding reception. The house is beautifully restored and the grounds are pristine. The wrap around porch and the lawn were the perfect size for my 200 guests during cocktails and our tent was short walk from the house as well. Mallory and Suzanne at EH were beyond helpful throughout the planning process. Whenever we needed to tour the house - they were available. Whenever we had questions - they were extremely responsive. They really put us at ease and worked well with our other vendors. They truly made everything we wanted work, as well. Another thing of note (that was very important to us!) were the bathrooms. The bathrooms are basically brand new and I received many comments from guests as you typically have to rent bathrooms for tent weddings. The bridal and groom suites are separated and roomy. It was really a dream experience! You cannot go wrong booking EH and working with the amazing team here.
The Eisenhower House is a perfect location for a wedding. The house is restored in-side beautifully. The grounds are perfect with a view of the Newport bridge. There is a wrap around deck. Mallory the event manager for the house is a joy to work with and willing to help in any way.
What is not to love about this place?! It's gorgeous. Joan who runs the house was so easy to work with and accommodating. We were battling a hurricane leading up to the wedding and they did everything to help us prepare (and ease the nerves). Our wedding was after the renovation and the inside of the house is just pristine (I never saw it pre renovation). If I had to do it all over again, I wouldn't change a thing. Thank you Joan and everyone at the Eisenhower House for giving us the best party and memories!
The Eisenhower House provided the perfect setting and back drop for our wedding. The house, which was originally built for the commandant of Fort Adams, used by President Eisenhower as his summer White House and is now owned by the state, was renovated this year and is absolutely stunning! The classic vintage feeling is paired with a true elegance. Our guests adored the property and all that it offered. We had the wedding on the lawn underneath a tent, overlooking the Narragansett Bay and the Newport Bridge, providing one of the most stunning views of Newport. The house provided a lively, warm atmosphere during our cocktail hour and a place for quiet respite during our reception. We also loved that there were bathroom facilities for all our guests on the property and we didn't need to bring in mobile bathrooms. I loved visiting the house prior to our wedding and taking in new details each time - from the carved etchings on the stairwell to the original light fixture in the bridal suite. The house is simply gorgeous. However, one of our most positive experiences with the Eisenhower House was working with the site manager, Joan. She was helpful and supportive. She was always available to answer our questions and give guidance where we needed it. She worked with us to make sure that we had our special day exactly the way that we wanted it. Any bride and groom who books here is sure to have a very special and memorable wedding. My husband and I love the Eisenhower House and look forward to having it forever in our memories of this momentous day in our lives!
WE loved the history and location of Eisenhower House;Heels on the grass, fake flowers were not removed from inside the house
We used the house instead of setting up a tent and it was so beautiful. The house has a beautiful wrap around porch where the bar and band set up but there was still tons of room for cocktail tables. We set up the dinner table in 3 different rooms inside and the entire front room was open for the cake and dancing. You can't compete with the view. It also faces west so we had a beautiful sunset over the water looking toward Jamestown.;The only thing I didn't like is the power lines above the hedge, which I did notice when we were at Eisenhower House during the planning, but honestly did not even think about during the wedding.
