My name is Kaely Pillars and I’m a wedding photographer based in Eastern Iowa. The majority of the weddings I photograph take place in Cedar Rapids, Iowa City, Waterloo, Manchester, Dyersville, Dubuque and Des Moines; although I love to travel and will photograph your wedding regardless of where it takes place. My photography style is clean, classic and timeless; an equal mix of both traditional and photojournalistic photography styles.
I am a graduate of the Professional Photography Program at Hawkeye Community College, with an emphasis in portrait photography. I am proud to serve on the Board of Directors for the Professional Photographers of Iowa, as well as on the Advisory Board for the Photography Program at Hawkeye Community College.

One of the few things I was very certain about as we started wedding planning was our photographer. I reached out to a few that have a similar style, but we ultimately chose Eleano...
r Kathryn because Kaely was so knowledgable and easy to work with. She was timely in her responses, and my husband & I truly enjoyed every minute of both our engagement session and wedding day with her!
Kaely & Christopher kept us on schedule but was also flexible with us to make sure our vision was coming to life! We had so much fun with both of them, and we were able to request a few specific pictures, as well!Without even seeing our sneak peeks yet, I am so confident that she was the best option for us! Words cannot describe how much we truly appreciated spending our big day with both of them!
If I could give them something even higher than a 5-star rating, I would without a doubt!!!
Kaley is complete rockstar!
She walks beside you every step of the day to make sure to capture all of the silly moments, but also all of the elegant portrait poses. Her style is v...
ery natural, ever-lasting as opposed to the moody/dark or light and airy look you sometimes see. Kaley goes above and beyond to ensure you get every image you could ever want - we got over 1,500 pictures/moments to reflect back on - EVERYONE is stunning. She is the absolute sweetest but can get everyone lined up to strike a pose - she not only acted as our photographer but as my therapist, wedding coordinator, and maid of honor at times. She's absolutely amazing!
Kaley & Christopher were absolutely amazing on our wedding day. They were easy to get along with & made taking our pictures fun & not a chore. We felt like they were actually celeb...
rating with us, not just there to do a job. We had several people in our families & wedding party say how much they enjoyed BOTH of them! Kaely is a a diamond in the rough. She asked & listened to what we wanted, but also gave us her input as well. Our engagement & wedding photos weren't your run of the mill poses, they were unique to us as a couple. She was able to get our personalities to shine through in the pictures, as well as our playful interaction with each other. Part of this came from the fact that she really got to know us as individuals, not just clients. We highly recommend her to anyone for ANY kind of professional photography! We would hands down, work with both of them again in the future!!
Kaely and Christopher really nailed our wedding day photos. They captured our personalities perfectly. So professional and easy to work with. They beat me to the hotel for the g...
etting ready photos, so they were perfectly punctual and kept the ball rolling so we didn't get behind all day. They helped make my dream of my new husband not seeing me at all until I was coming down the aisle a reality and it couldn't have been more perfect. All of my photos I've had done by Eleanor Kathryn Photography and her team are worth every penny and so much more.
Kaely did such an amazing job on our wedding photos!! She was a great person to work with, and we got all of our photos back in 2.5 weeks!!! She seriously is the best out there and...
I would recommend her over and over again!

ur wedding! When we did our engagement pictures, she picked the perfect location and the pictures turned out AMAZING! Kaely edits the pictures perfectly! We had her and Kim cover my wedding last week and I don't know where to even begin! They were outstanding with organizing a big bridal party. They were efficient in getting all the photos I wanted such as family, bridal party, personal attendants. It was definitely the best day of my life and went so smoothly with the photographer getting everything down in a timely manner. I would recommend their services to all my family and friends! They have done over four of our friends' weddings so far!
Eleanor Kathryn Photography is amazing and we're so glad she documented our wedding day!
Kaely with Eleanor Kathryn Photography was absolutely the best. We had a bad experience with another photographer and were luckily able to book Kaely and it was the best decision w...
e made. Kaely was extremely professional, always very prompt in responding to messages or calls, and captured our day in a way that absolutely stunning. She did a great job of keeping our large wedding party "in line" and kept our timeline for our day on track. We received our pictures back very quickly and are in love with them. Such a great momento of the best day of our lives and we get to re-live it through the pictures that were captured. Can't say enough great things!
Kaely was beyond amazing to work with. Between the engagement photos and the wedding we have so many amazing pictures!! Kaely takes the time to get to know you so she can get a vis...
ion for your photos that fits who you are as a couple. For us she nailed it on everything! She does a great job keeping you organized and even manages to wrangle the craziness that a bridal party can be! She is by far a great choice and you will not be disappointed!
"Working with Kaely, Jaclyn and the Cumberland Weddings team was amazing! They knew all the questions to ask leading up to the wedding to create a schedule which insured getting al...
l the photos we needed. And they were super accommodating to the weather. When we were able to take photos they had a list and had everyone's names of who they needed so they were able to get everyone lined up quickly and were got through picture in no time.
They were the nicest most organized ladies I've ever worked with! I cannot say enough about them. I would recommend them to anyone!!"
We did our engagement pictures with Kaley and she did an AMAZING job! Her demeanor is a great combo of easy going and professional so you don't feel awkward having your photo taken...
so many times. The pictures turned out great.
Kaely was absolutely amazing to work with. She was our dream wedding photographer. I first saw her work popping up on my Facebook page even before I was engaged. Once we had our we...
dding venue and date finalized, EKP was my first contact in hopes of booking her for our wedding. I could not be happier with our photos. We walked away with every photo we could have ever wanted. My husband and I have been married for about 18 days and we already have our wedding photos! She made us fee so comfortable. She didn't feel like the photographer at our wedding. She fit right in and work well with all of our guests. I cannot say enough wonderful things about Kaely! I am going to have to find an excuse to work with her again.
I made an extensive search for wedding photographers, I love photos and it was one part of my wedding I was looking forward to. After a long search I choose Eleanor Kathryn Photog...
raphy. On our wedding day she was nice, although I wish she would have been a better director. When we got our pictures I was disappointed. The family pictures were terrible, enough were it was difficult to choose one decent enough for a Christmas card. It would have been better to have somebody with a old 35mm snap a photo. I love details and put a lot of small details into our wedding and I don't think she did a good job capturing them . She fixed a few photos but many photos had roster tails and flying hair. There aren't many photos which are canvas print worthy, maybe 4. She tried takign artistic photos and just ruined pictures, like covering our MOH and BM faces with tree branches. I really wish I would have choose a different photographer, it is the one thing I would change about my wedding. If you aren't that picky about photos then she will do a good job.
Kaely did an amazing job with my photos. There were the very beautiful & timeless photos, but also a lot of fun pictures that we took. Very professional and an awesome photogra...
