We had Justin as our DJ for our wedding! During the planning process, he made great suggestions. He was very flexible with some last minute ideas we had during the wedding. He got people out on the dance floor and played my suggested songs! Would definitely recommend!

DJ Bob was the BEST!! He meets whatever vibe you are going for, and is also willing to work with custom music. My husband wrote our ceremony music, and Bob provided the speaker and microphones. It was beautiful. For the reception, Bob brought the energy. We gave a few song requests, we heard all of them, and he matched the genre to keep the party going. 6/5 stars for Bob for helping make our wedding the best day of our lives.

With a love of music & positive crowd reactions, the DJs work closely with couples to find exactly what they are looking for. This company provides musical entertainment for couples, but also lighting & photo booth options as well. Their work will keep guests entertained all night long. Electric Blue DJ Service is run by five DJs. DJ Bob owns the company, which he started in 1996 with over 30 years of experience. DJ Justin joined the team in 2014 entertaining at weddings & events. DJ Frank worked his first wedding in 1989 & has a natural talent for getting people onto the dance floor. DJ Mark is a talented DJ covering Central NY & DJ Kyle joins us here in Albany coming up from Florida.

I have been DJing for over 30 years; I was the DJ at the Skate Factory, a roller skating rink, the day it opened for 10 years located just outside of Hudson, NY. I’ve owned and operated Electric Blue DJ Service since 1997. Electric Blue DJ Service has been providing music for weddings, parties, school dances, corporate events and many other events and venues with professional and very affordable services. With thousands of satisfied customers, Electric Blue DJ Service knows how to read the crowd and provide all types of music for all ages. I got into DJing years ago because I love music and I mean all music; Rock, Classical, Jazz, Country, Rap, Hip-Hop; you name it, I enjoy it all. Remember 45’s and LP’s? I used to buy tons, shortly I had a massive collection and thought more than just myself should enjoy this music as I love seeing how people react to music it’s almost electric and so began a journey to where I am now. I started playing music for family and friends at parties with Technics turntables and my home stereo equipment for nothing. Although I say “nothing” meaning no pay, what I did get, was a priceless amount of experience. I have paved my way finding out what does and doesn’t work to keep people entertained, dancing and having a great time. Now I have expanded, I still buy a ton of music in CD format and very rarely from the internet, I like the album art and something tangible that shows I actually own the music. I also subscribe to professional DJ music services only available to DJ’s and radio stations and get my music just as fast as the radio stations do. I usually own the music before it’s popular. I am now teaching other DJ’s my passion and skills for the love of music and how to make a great event ELECTRIC. Hope you get a chance to PLUG US IN…!!!

curve balls, from me being completely unorganized and fully lost in the planning process, unconventional wedding parties, an order of events that was slightly outside the norm, three sets of parents to have dances with, you name it and we had it. He took all of it in stride and read the energy of the room to a T. He played the perfect mix of classics and newer music. At no point did I know what was coming on next but I was excited to whole time to see what he was playing next. He coordinated with my photographer like a champ, met with us twice in the lead up and was always just a phone call away, and made our day so fun and special. Unbelievably grateful for you and all your hard work, I could say thank you a million times and it still wouldn’t be enough!

I wanted and to ensure we did games/ activities and to talk about the expectations at the wedding. They were very professional and had different tiers. This helped me as I had a bit of a smaller wedding (~50-60 people) so I was able to go with a less expensive option, and they did have some add on options, options to pay for additional time if we wanted etc. I cannot thank them enough for making my special day so memorable. Would recommend over and over again, not just for weddings by any event that may need a DJ!

line of events, a list of songs that guests had requested along with songs we’d like to hear well in advance just for him to play almost none of them. The cocktail hour was a mess, we couldn’t hear any of the music with his tiny speaker and when we made our speech, and re read our vows the microphone he provided didn’t even work and couldn’t turn up the sound. We had to yell instead. So embarrassing. There were huge pauses between everything and the listing of first dance and parent dances had the amount of time listed to play it just for my husband and I to awkwardly stand in front of everyone waiting for our first dance song to start. He then called parents dances incorrectly just for my mother and I to again, awkwardly stand there for multiple minutes waiting for the song to start just to tell me the song “wasn’t downloaded” and called me to his table to tell me this. Then when it did start to play, the timing was all wrong and I kept having to tell him to stop a song or yell to him. The only guest requested songs (from the rsvp) that were played were ones guests had to go up again and ask for. He also announced to “make sure the bride liked the song” before requesting which makes me look like the bad guy. I literally provided a list of do not play and truly made it as simple as possible just to be ignored. It was so unprofessional and made me so sad that my husband and I got to finally celebrate our wedding after 3 postponements due to COVID just for us to get a second rate DJ who was incredibly unprofessional and couldn’t even do the simple task of playing songs we had asked for well in advance including guest requests.
