Eric was absolutely amazing! He was the best wedding photographer we could ask for! He was kind enough to work with us pretty last minute and was very accommodating with scheduling our engagement shoot. Then, on our wedding day, he performed way beyond what we expected. We had a huge Indian/Puerto Rican wedding and he was there for every single moment! He did not miss a beat! He got us hundreds and hundreds of amazing photos and captured every emotion! Not only that, but he was great with a huge wedding party, with us running late and with advocating for me: he was the only one to recognize my (the bride’s) needs, such as when I hadn’t eaten all day and was starving. He advocated for me and spoke with the planning team to try to get me food. He was also more than prepared to carry or adjust my veil and dress for photos and drive back and forth between locations. We also had a mini ice cream party with the bridesmaids the morning of the wedding and he was great at suggesting and capturing fun, silly moments with the girls. He was AMAZING at being spontaneous and getting quick moments: we had a war between the bridesmaids and groomsmen as per Indian tradition and had the groomsmen raid the bridesmaids room to find the groom's stolen shoes. Eric was quick enough to capture the spontaneous excitement for us to enjoy later on! He was also just so chill and easy going throughout the entire day despite it being super crazy! We were so blessed to have him. Thank you so much, Eric!

Eric has the EYE for beauty. Every single picture he took at our wedding captured so much happiness. I am SO VERY camera shy, but you would never think that when looking at our pictures. He had natural ease about him that put us equally at ease. He directed our movements with patience. He took us to many unique locations I would not have considered as an ideal photo spot, but every single one was incredible. My pictures came back incredibly fast. No matter what the occasion, next time I want professional pictures, I am absolutely calling on Eric again.

Elee did an amazing job capturing my surprise proposal shoot. The photos are incredible. My partner and I are not very comfortable posing for photos. Eric did a fantastic job with the candid shots but also guided us to take several posed photos that look natural. This was exactly what I wanted. He came highly recommended by a friend that used him for her engagement shoot. I checked his website and loved his photojournalist style. I feel lucky to have had Eric as I booked with him on short notice, after another photographer canceled on me last minute. I was going to reschedule my proposal until Eric convinced me that he could be ready in only a few hours. He arrived early, was extremely communicative, and even helped when the singer I hired was running late. I cannot recommend Elee Photography enough. A-MAZ-ING.

I honestly believe Eric is the best in the business. He was so quick to respond to be me during initial consultation and even offered to meet face to face with us when we were still in the decision process. Eric was never pushy and once we did decide to go with him he stayed in touch. We had a great engagement shoot which Eric was sure to make us feel comfortable for as we both are not used to the camera. As for the wedding I wanted to go with someone who would capture the moments and not have us do a ton of posed shots, although I know those are important. Eric absolutely delivered on this and I can't help but look back and be so thankful that he and his team caught everything I felt that happened that day. We are so happy we went with Eric for our wedding. He and his team were so wonderful to work.

We are so glad we picked Eric to be our wedding photographer for our Indian Hindu wedding! We love that he individualizes his approach for all of his clients so that their photos are unique. It was such a pleasure to work with Eric! We chose him because of the way he approaches wedding photography - finding and documenting the special moments of the celebration (his portfolio speaks for itself). Unfortunately, our wedding plans fell apart because of COVID-19, but Eric was super flexible and accommodating - he agreed to photograph our elopement ceremony as we postponed the celebration with friends and family till later. Eric was super easy going and both my husband and I felt at ease right away with being photographed by him. We had ceremony in the park and Eric had great ideas and suggestions for shots, which turned out so so beautiful! He knows how to work well with natural light. He made our day special and created beautiful memories, especially as we could not have a planned celebration. Highly recommend!

Eric's photos of our wedding were exceptionally high quality, and we are so glad we went with him. We were debating between him and another photographer who was about $500 cheaper, but opted for Eric because the quality of his photos just seemed like they were a clear notch above the competition (I think he also gave us a small discount). We were not at all disappointed, and ended up with an amazing collection of photos to remember the wedding day by. We were particularly impressed by how vibrant the colors were, how clear and vivid the images were, and just how well all the most important moments of the wedding were captured. I'd say we were a bit unsure of what to expect going in to the wedding day because we never were able to meet Eric in person and hadn't had a ton of communication about how things were going to go, but when Eric and his assistant Hue showed up they were easy to work with , very professional, and clearly knew what they were doing. Throughout the event they did a really nice job of letting us enjoy ourselves while they documented it all, but they also occasionally volunteered ideas for good photos or poses that we were really glad we did after the fact. When they did suggest a shot they could set up, it was quick and efficient, and didn't detracted from our ability to enjoy the wedding at all. Not sure what else to say other than everyone who has seen our photos has been extremely impressed by their quality. If Eric is within your budget or even just a bit beyond like he was for us, I think you will be extremely happy with the experience and the final product. A big thank you to Eric and Hue for capturing our wedding day so wonderfully!

We hired Eric to shoot our Engagement and Wedding photos and we could not be happier with how everything turned out! Eric is not only a talented photographer but extremely kind and patient. He was very accommodating throughout the entire process (we had a few last minute reschedules due to health reasons) all the while remaining thoughtful and professional. He is great at making you feel comfortable in front of the camera and takes the time to carefully craft each pose/scene to ensure he gets the best shot possible. Unfortunately, it was raining during our first look, but that did not stop Eric and his assistant one bit. They stood outside without any rain gear and managed to get some of my favorite photos of the entire day. We are so thankful to have found such an amazing and talented photographer to capture our wedding day and will cherish the photos for years to come. Thank you, Eric, for everything!

When I saw Eric’s portfolio I knew he would be the perfect photographer for our wedding. We were drawn to his photos and the way he beautifully captured candid moments. My now-husband and I met with Eric the week before the wedding and went over schedule and preferred photos. He was very knowledgeable about what works and what didn’t and had great recommendations for the agenda and our photo wish list. On the day of, Eric (joined by his second photographer Hue) was fantastic! He captured so many special moments but was not invasive in trying to choreograph the day like many other photographers. He managed by huge family and very long list of family photos with grace, not rushing us through but letting us enjoy every moment. Every time I show anyone photos from the wedding, they comment how talented my photographer was. And he is! Lastly, Eric recommended a videographer which we ended up booking as well (Valley Park Media), and the two of them worked wonderfully together – combining efforts so that we didn’t need to do multiple poses or takes for the same photo. I highly recommend Eric as you will not only be working with an extremely talented photographer, but also a lovely and genuine individual who will beautifully capture your special day.

Eric was a WONDERFUL photographer - can't say enough good things about our experience. First, he was on time and got straight to work when he showed up. He helped coordinate a first look and then took a mix of photos we requested/photo ops he recommended. Second, he was very respectful of all of the photography rules outlined by the church and still managed to get amazing photos. Third, he was familiar with our reception location and knew all of these nearby, amazing photo ops. He had lots of great ideas for couple pictures (we weren't sure what to do!) and really made the most of that 1 hour we had between the church and reception. He got lots of great candid photos as well. Finally, he sent me a photo THAT EVENING (unheard of according to my friends) over text and then some of his favorites THE NEXT DAY! I had a girlfriend wait through weeks of radio silence before getting anything back, so I really appreciate his quick turnaround. He actually sent us all 1000+ photos by the end of the following week, which was just awesome. My friends and family all think they look magazine worthy, and I'd agree! Eric really captured our day in the most beautiful way. Book him - you won't regret it. **Tip: Be sure to tell him what photos you want b/c there are a million things to capture and it's helpful to know if you want a certain shot so you can tell him ahead of time (e.g. back of your dress, pics with certain people, your bouquet, etc.). Eric got everything I requested but I forgot to explicitly ask for a closeup of the back of my dress and its blingy detail, so I had to put it back on and take on afterwards. Oh well - it was fun to put it on again :)

Eric and his assistant were FANTASTIC. I honestly barely noticed them around, but they were able to get SO SO many great shots. I work in the arts and was super picky about the photographer I wanted to hire, but also was somewhat limited on budget. This was the perfect mix of affordable and true talent. He definitely has the photo journalism eye that I wanted in my photos. Each photo tells a great story. My only regret it not also hiring whatever videographer he works with. I tried to do some DIY stuff for that and it's 4 months after my wedding and I'm still editing the video. Definitely hire Eric for your wedding. He's friendly and talented.

Eric was a great photographer for our wedding - he shot both our engagement and wedding shoots. During the engagement shoot, he directed us into some cool poses, but also caught some of the moments in-between. He incorporated the shots we wanted and added a whole lot more. On the wedding day, he did all the portrait shots effectively and efficiently, and had fantastic ideas on how to capture some of the quieter moments. The photos we received were beautiful and wonderfully taken - ones that we'll use for years to remember our special day.

Eric and Hieu were amazing and captured all the moments (and more) that we hoped to see from the wedding. There was a perfect mix of candid and staged shots. They were great to work with and instantly made everyone feel comfortable. Eric was also super responsive throughout the entire process and made sure that we were on the same page leading up to the wedding.

After looking through a couple of photographer's pages, I came across Eric's page. As I looked through his posted pictures I fell in love with a specific photo and knew immediately that I wanted him to shoot our wedding. Eric is courteous, very professional and punctual. The photographs from the wedding are simply beautiful. He included both color and black and white shots. I can not find words that can express how I felt when I saw the pictures. They looked like something out of a magazine. Simply amazing. There is just no way of explaining the emotions I felt when I saw them. Every time I see the pictures, they take me back to that amazing day. Eric has an amazing talent and I can't thank him enough for being part of such an important day for me.

Let me just put it like this, there are wedding photos and then there are Eric Lee’s wedding photos. He is an amazingly talented photographer who truly puts his heart and soul into every photo he snaps. He was such a pleasure to work with, kind as they come, and kept everyone on schedule (he seriously saved our wedding by reminding the scattered brain bridal party it was time to leave for the church). Eric was the first vendor we spoke with. I actually did a google search of photographers in my area, saw his photos and thought... "OMG these are amazing, There's no way he's 1 available or 2 even remotely in my price range!" I messaged him any way, really just to compliment his work, but I figured I'd ask about his prices anyway. They were fair and we were able to meet and hit it off immediately! Seriously, Eric was the one MOST helpful vendor we had (he was a better wedding planner than the one we hired and fired). Not only did he have great suggestions, but he was so responsive and makes you feel like your the only couple he is working with. This is amazing because not only is he super busy as a photographer, but does a LOT of traveling and volunteer work. He also helped us with all the little things I didn't even think about. Through out this process, he was more than a wedding photographer, he became apart of our family. He is one of the kindest, sweetest. most thoughtful people and I would give him an 11/5 if I could! Not only is Eric a supremely talented photographer but he is as nice as they come. We met with him about 8 months before our wedding and it was no contest. He is kind, personable, and professional. He is very easy to work with and gives you great pointers and directions while shooting (which is nice if you are kind of awkward like me!). Eric was such a wonderful photographer and captured the most beautiful, precious, and timeless photos. I was so thrilled to look through our pictures and find perfectly-captured impromptu photographs of us and our parents (my mom listening to speeches, my dad and I looking at each other during our first dance). Rather than simply capturing portraits, he captured moments that will make it possible for us to always remember how happy we felt on that day. In addition to being incredibly talented, Eric was a calming presence throughout our wedding day (we were fretting over the rain with an outdoor ceremony). We stole away a few times to take pictures with him just so we could get away from other people asking us about various details and decisions. We highly recommend Eric.

We first met Eric in Georgetown in February 2018, on the coldest Sunday afternoon I have ever experienced, for our engagement shoot. There he was, backpack and cameras ready, braving the cold, enthusiastic and engaged. For a few hours, we walked all over Georgetown, and Eric worked his magic. The photos from that day turned out marvelous - they rank among the best ones anyone has ever taken of me and my (now) wife. We chose Eric to be our wedding photographer because we had seen parts of his portfolio and we loved his style. We loved his ability to capture the magic of spontaneous moments. We don’t like posing. We like to be in the moment, as it happens. A genuine smile, a twinkle of the eye - Eric sees it, and he captures it. To be able to do that is true art. Eric may be a little quiet, but don’t be fooled. This is a man of many talents, with more than a handful of interesting stories to tell. Ask him about that one time he hand-wrote a letter to Warren Buffett and got invited to the Berkshire Hathaway annual meeting. Or ask him about his travels, or the many humanitarian initiatives he is involved in. Eric captures stories, while living many amazing ones himself. We were very honored that Eric took the time to shoot our wedding. He has an amazing eye for detail and manages to strike that subtle balance between giving clear instructions when needed and floating in the background, always present but seemingly invisible. A great photographer manages to capture moments during which you weren’t even aware that he was present - it’s almost like a skillful dance, never imposing, but always there in the moment. Eric is a total pro, and it shows in the amazing pictures that we were able to get a sneak peak of. Eric did an AMAZING job for our wedding and engagement shoot. We were originally not interested in doing an engagement photo shoot, but I'm glad we did because we were able to meet Eric and see his high-quality work. Our day of the shoot was one of the coldest days in DC this winter, but he still took us around Georgetown and produced beautiful, high-quality photos. At our wedding, our guests kept commenting on how great our photographer was. He seemed to be ten places at once making sure to capture the shot. We have not yet received our full photos back but were sent a preview and I am over the moon with how well they turned out and how he captured the emotion and moment. I also really appreciated that he was in tune to what we wanted. Ahead of time we sent many examples of photo styles we like and don't like, and he took the time to look at the examples to make sure he provided us with photos we will cherish. I would recommend hiring Eric for your big day, you won't regret it!

Eric was wonderful to work with. We really appreciated that he wanted to meet us and get to know us before the big day. After our initial meeting, He checked in beforehand to make sure we were on the same page and took the time to familiarize himself with our vendors in order to work well together. On the day of, he was just lovely. He really did a great job at being seen when needed but blended into the background and captured everything without bringing attention to himself. He made a point of getting us our photos right on our one monthiversary which was such a lovely surprise (and so quick compared to my friends weddings!) and we couldn't be happier with the final photos. We have tons to pick from when it comes to formal shots and the candid shots were so fun to flip through. All in all, highly recommend Eric.

Eric was extremely professional and impressive in his work. We were nervous because neither of us had any clue what we should be thinking about in terms of wedding photos, but Eric took the lead and told us exactly what to do. This review is so long overdue! Of the many decisions we made for our wedding picking Eric as our photographer was by far the best and easiest decision we made. From the moment we met him we knew he would be perfect for us. He was organized, responsive, kind and thoughtful. He asked us what our needs were and made sure that they were met. Both my husband and I do not take many pictures and are camera shy but he worked with us, helped make us feel comfortable and we ended up with the most beautiful pictures. My fiancé and I booked Eric 2 months before our wedding after getting a referral through one of of his photography associates for my wedding and honestly he sets the bar high for customer service. Although we were last minute with booking he created a payment plan that was easy to follow. Whether its through email or telephone we had a clear line of communication! Very easy going, funny, and attentive to detail. We honestly laughed the whole time. So happy with my finish product!!

Eric did an excellent job as our wedding photographer. He was easy to consult with in preparation for the wedding and was diligent about getting all of the shots we asked for. We don’t especially like posed shots, and Eric did a great job of capturing us in candid moments that expressed our joy on our wedding day. He efficiently got all of the family shots that we wanted and left us some time to enjoy our cocktail hour! He did not rush us and was an unobtrusive presence throughout the day, while still documenting everything that we wanted, from the bridal preparation to the send off at the end of the evening. We highly recommend his services.

Eric is great to work with! Because I am out-of -state, Eric conversed with me for several weeks to stage the perfect engagement. He was extremely helpful and very responsive! When the day came Eric was able to snap great shots of my fiancée and I walking to “the spot”, as well as amazing photos when I dropped to one knee. We were blown away when we saw his work.

Eric is absolutely amazing - and that doesn't even begin to describe it! Eric was our photographer for both our engagement session and our wedding day. From the moment we met him in DC for our engagement session, we knew we'd be in fantastic hands. He took two introverted folks who don't pose much for the camera, guided us through every step of the way, and delivered absolutely amazing shots. His relaxed style made us feel completely at ease, and when we actually saw the photos, we were blown away by his eye for detail and beauty. He's GOOD. He truly knows how to capture the joy, human element, and intricacy of a moment. We found the same experience to be true for our wedding photos. Unlike other photographers who get in your face or shove a big black hunk of equipment into what what have been a beautiful moment, he works in the background and uses his camera to its best advantage - without destroying the ambiance. Or, he directs you into creating moments that are actually meaningful and loving for you as a couple, and captures it without reminding you that he's there. We deeply appreciated this approach. When we received our first preview of the photos that he'd taken, I was moved to tears. He captured the most important, precious moments of our wedding and worked some kind of magic to make us look like rock stars! (And this is said by someone who typically *hates* seeing photos of herself!) He was a blast to work with, and everyone in our bridal party had high praise for his guidance, his friendly and relaxed approach (which made us all feel so much more at ease!), and his great professionalism. Beyond the experience that we had with Eric (which is reason enough to book him as soon as you possibly can), his photography skills are second to none. From the second we saw his portfolio, we knew that we wanted to book him, and we are so incredibly pleased, relieved, and grateful that he was a part of wedding day! I cannot sing his praises enough! I don't even know where to begin in reviewing Eric's importance to our wedding. We have been together for 22 years and finally got married this July. Getting married in mid-life means you've had years to gather lots of important friends and family--and we wanted to make sure we captured our time with them in photos. Eric's work suited our goals perfectly. His brilliant candids, uncovering precious moments in time, is what drew us to his work. Eric has a knack for capturing the small, quiet moments in your crazy day (for us, it was our wedding) and bringing them to life. His style is "in the moment" photography, which is more candid and, in my opinion, more beautiful. And he has a really masterful grasp on how to use light and shadow to bring emotion to a photo. During our day with him, he was kind, encouraging, patient, and kept a sense of humor through it all. He was extremely easy to work with and we couldn't be happier with our photos.

Eric did both our Engagement and Wedding pictures and they both turned out absolutely stunning!! He understood exactly what my husband and I wanted in our Potojournalistic photos and captured it all. Eric had a pretty big job at our wedding with over 200 guests and captured everything we wanted and more. I can’t say enough about Eric and how wonderful he is. I highly recommend him and will definitely be working with him in the future!

Eric is a great photographer. He took our engagement photos and wedding photos. For our first look and bridal party photos we took them at the Lincoln Memorial. Eric knew the perfect location. We had given him a list of photos we wanted to take and he was very organized and captured them all. He was also very quick and didn't make us do many poses. For the wedding ceremony and reception Eric was always around but never in the way our overbearing. He is a great photographer and we highly recommend him.

My wife and I had the good fortune of working with Eric for both our engagement and our wedding day photos. I'll do my best to fully explain how pleased we are to have worked with someone so skilled and wonderful. For our engagement photos, we asked that most of our shots be candid with a few staged photos. This is a fairly difficult request when both my wife and I - though very candid on our own - can be a bit shy and apprehensive when put in front of a camera. Eric and his assistant were able to, not only coax us out of our shell but, capture some absolutely beautiful photos that we were extremely pleased to have and to share with our friends and family. In addition to fantastic photos, working with Eric during our engagement shoot was a true pleasure. He and his assistant were extremely kind and caring regarding our requests and hesitation/reservations. As I mentioned, they made us feel extremely comfortable and we knew they cared deeply about getting us the best photos possible. We also had the pleasure to work with Eric and a second assistant ,Hue, for our wedding day. They were absolutely fantastic in every aspect of their photography part of our wedding. Their professionalism and ability to adapt to the wedding party, wedding guests, and the needs of the day were outstanding. Similar to our engagement photos, we'd requested a mixture of mostly candid photos of us and of the venue/church as well as our guests/wedding party. Both photographers operated flawlessly with little direction from my wife or me. This autonomy made the whole process much easier because, as we knew from our engagement photos, we'd be getting amazing memories captured without having to worry every step of the way. As of today, we've been shown a sampling of our wedding day photos and the quality and emotion captured is nothing short of fantastic. We couldn't have asked for a more positive experience and a more wonderful photographer to work with. We highly recommend Eric.

I could NOT have asked for a better photographer. I was fortunate to work with Eric for a photo shoot prior to my wedding, so when the big day rolled around, we had already established a comfortable relationship. My family decided that Eric was "the coolest person ever!", and all my guests raved about how Eric was "there, but not there." He managed to take such wonderful posed and candid photos without being obvious. We are so excited that these will be the pictures we will get to look back on again and again.

Eric is an incredible photographer! He photographed my sister's July 23 wedding in Virginia! He's incredibly professional and is a lot of fun! My family had a great time hanging out with him while we waited on the bride (because she runs on her own time!). The images are STUNNING! We definitely recommend him! He is great at capturing those standard wedding shots, but my favorite are his candids! He has an artistic eye for beautiful images we'll cherish forever!

Eric is a wonderful photographer. We really wanted some nice photos of the two of us on our wedding day. We were nervous when we started our first look, but Eric put us at ease! He helped position us and told us where to stand. He was really good at highlighting all the unique features at our location (Fort Myer), which we loved. We got some really cool shots we would have never thought of ourselves. All our photos were so beautiful. We are so happy with them. They were a great combination of artistic, whimsical, romantic, and fun.

We loved Eric!! He is such a sweet guy, was around a crazy group of people yet he was professional and kind. For us, we are silly and maybe have a hard time being serious and romantic... he got us out of our shell. Some of our guests were even commenting on how awesome he was, even offering to take pictures for people. I can't wait to see what pictures he put together for us :)

Hiring Eric to be our wedding photographer was the best decision we made. He was flexible and very easy to work with. His passion for photography is clearly shown through his work. The photos we received were absolutely stunning. He took the time to review each and every photograph before he sent them to me. Additionally, he provided guidance on each location I suggested. When I made a suggestion for a location, he did extensive research and was able to bounce back ideas with me. His photographs speak for themselves. Finding a photographer while living overseas and planning a wedding in a city I'm unfamiliar with was quite a challenge. I scoured reviews, but what really made me choose Eric was his style, responsiveness and availability. He was extremely fast to respond, and checked in a few times over the months leading up to the big day and provided great suggestions. In addition, his prices are very reasonable! The day of, he was right on time and had plenty of ideas of where to shoot and how to pose. He really made us feel comfortable and fit right in with our guests.
