he forgot our initial phone appointment and I had to email her and ask when she was going to call. For our rescheduled appointment she said she was at her son’s performance and was in a busy place. She said she was “fine to talk” but I felt this was pretty unprofessional for how much money I was going to spend on this. This remained a pattern for several months. I would text Sarah and she would not respond for weeks and I’d have to nudge her to remind her to answer. She was pretty disorganized but played it off like “I’m so experienced this is easy!” When I would’ve appreciated more attention to detail. She said that they don’t make a schedule with specific names, other than the bride. And they just “grab whoever doesn’t have a bagel in their mouth” for who will go next. This caused me to make the schedule as everyone was asking me what time their apt was/needed to be ready. At my trial Larissa and Mandy were so sweet. They were able to work with me through whatever I needed and make any changes. However, Larissa lacked products for natural redheads. Which I know is a niche, but I was incredibly clear with Sara on the phone several months prior to the trial when I said I wanted to make sure they had correct colors and products. Which she assured me she had. Larissa even offered to buy any products I needed, which was so sweet. Sara also said, about a month before the wedding that we’d need to start by 6:45am to be ready on time. I would never have considered booking them if I knew we’d have to start so early. She did find more people to come and help out, which I appreciated greatly! But, at the last minute. It was even a “maybe” on if she could find extra people. Which made me nervous, she said that my wedding was “the most popular day of the year” and I understand it can be hard to find people because of that, but I booked this service 6+months out. Why are we only discussing this now when the wedding is a few weeks/months away? Sarah texted me day of confirming my Location. She assumed it was a room in the venue. I corrected her via text and referenced the portal forms and she stated “yes, that’s why I checked.” I don’t understand the point of a client portal and filling out forms if you’re just going to text me to confirm, assuming it’s the same as other weddings worked at the same venue. Everyone else was lovely and sweet, Larissa and Mandy did an amazing job on me! As stated before the quality of service was just not worth the price. Had the price of the services been lower like $200-150 a person would be more reasonable. It was $300 per person and my own was $400 and an additional $250 for the trial! I payed for my bridesmaids because I wanted to help them out with cost anyway, I also could not fathom asking them for that amount of money for just hair and makeup. They already had a lot of other things to pay for. My sister got married 3 months prior in July and I paid 175-200 for both hair and makeup. I understand they had to travel for my venue but the difficulties in communication and the lack of products for me specifically just rubbed me the wrong way. I recommend them if they are close by to your venue (Philly area) and if you have little to no specialized needs for services.
