Meet the team
- Curtis HaremzaOwner and Dance InstructorCurtis has always had a deep love for theatre and dance. After attending Sienna Heights College, he pursued his passion as both an actor and dancer, performing in numerous theatre productions across Michigan and New York. In 1996, Curtis began teaching dance at Arthur Murray, where he discovered his true calling—sharing the joy of dance with others. Just a few years later, in 2000, he opened Elegance in Motion Dance Studio, creating a welcoming space for dancers of all levels to learn, grow, and connect. Beyond his studio, Curtis founded the Oakland University Ballroom Dance Team, inspiring students to embrace ballroom dance and compete at a collegiate level. Over the years, he has competed in numerous dance competitions himself, earning recognition and several Top Teacher Awards for his dedication and excellence in instruction. Curtis has choreographed thousands of dance routines, each one crafted to be special and unique. He especially loves working with couples, bringing creativity, patience, and plenty of clever tricks to make learning dance both easy and fun. His goal is to help everyone discover a love for dancing. For Curtis, dance has been a lifelong source of joy, creativity, and connection—and he strives to share that gift with each person who walks through his studio doors. Curtis is married with 2 kids.
