your partner, when you know you know. I had such an amazing experience, it was so fun and personalized for me. I liked that it was a 90 minute appointment versus 60, so I didn't feel rushed. My stylist Amanda did a great job of customizing my appointment. She listened to me and pulled dresses that fit my style. I ended up going over budget with the dress I purchased but I have zero regrets about it. I'm glad Amanda took the risk to show me a dress that checked all my boxes because it's everything I want for my day. Elegance has a great selection. There were two other brides in the shop. We all had different styles but there were plenty of dresses to choose from. I think I tried on 6 dresses before I got to lucky number 7. The staff made me feel so special when I said yes to my dress and they included my guests in on the fun. Another perk for brides in Chicagoland is that sales taxes in Indiana are way cheaper than Cook County! I would highly recommend Elegance to any bride.

She made my “say yes” moment special, and I’ll always appreciate that. However, despite that moment, I can’t help but feel like I wasn’t appreciated like their other brides. Out of the hundreds of bridal shops I could’ve chosen, I picked Elegance. I explained upfront that I’d need to return to Arizona to make my down payment—and I kept my word, calling in without hesitation to make not one, but two payments. That said, I was told I no longer qualified for the complimentary bridal tote bag because I didn’t pay on the day I said yes. Yet their own Instagram has a pinned post saying brides receive it when they say yes—which I did. I also saw a social media post about a free Vegas trip for brides saying yes in April. When I asked about that promo, I was told it didn’t apply to me either. Since then, they’ve changed the wording of that promo to say it starts April 8th. It all just feels off—especially when I’ve gone out of my way to promote them and expected the same energy in return. Don’t get me wrong—I love my dress, and they do carry beautiful gowns. But the way everything was handled left me feeling hurt and honestly regretting saying yes. I’ll update this review if things improve when I pick up my dress, but for now, my experience has been bittersweet.
