Elegance Wedding & Evening Wear was first opened in September of 2000, when owner Charlott Sitarski wanted to create a place where women could come in and leave feeling beautiful and confident. With over 20 years in the industry, our team understands that it is a privilege to be a part of such a special life moment. ried on 7 or 8 different dresses within my price range and style choices. She took her time with me and my mom to make sure I felt confident and comfortable in my dress, and I said yes! All the other employees came out to look at me in the dress and had such nice things to say. Daphne also took a lot of great photos for me and my mom to remember the experience. Overall, I would highly recommend Elegance for being affordable, fun, and having very professional and personable staff.
My consultant was SO helpful & kind, she really listened to my preferences for dresses, and they had a nice selection of dresses as well! Followed up after my appointment and felt very supportive throughout. Would definitely recommend!

trying on and seeing fully what I will look like in my dress on my wedding day! Very professional staff along with super friendly and helpful. Being a bigger girl you feel insecure and awkward going into a bridal shop thinking you have less options but when I mentioned something bout wanting to try on a certain dress but it was too small I was encouraged to try it on anyways because they'd make it to where I could get a good enough visual of how it'd look on me, in my size. The employees were supportive of anything I wanted to try on and were NOT pushy to a way of making anyone feel uncomfortable! Owner
Charlott Sitarski opened Elegance in 2000. She felt that brides in the area deserved to be treated special and beautiful, and that they should be working with the most knowledgeable consultants in the industry. Since that time, Elegance has quickly become a Chicagoland and Northwest Indiana favorite for brides and bridal parties.
Charlott says, "We absolutely love sharing in the excitement that our customers bring into our store, and it’s a privilege to be a part of their special day.”
