Shobha Aunty and the rest of her team at Elegant Affairs did an amazing job with my wedding and reception decor. They were accommodating of our budget, and made our dream vision a reality. On the day-of, Gopal did an excellent job with some last-minute additions and everyone was amazed by the way things turned out. So happy we had them be part of our big day!

Just stop reading reviews and sign with them already. Vikram is unbelievable as is his team. They will give you the event YOU want, not what they want. Other vendors will pressure you, they won't. The team is understanding and supportive and execute things beyond your wildest imagination.

Sharda and her team at Elegant Affairs are the best in the industry. Their warehouse is huge and so many different options to chose from. I am so happy that we picked them. Their customer service is great. Our decorations looked amazing. We got so many compliments on how beautiful all of our wedding events looked. She had transformed the venue into something very spectacular. Everyone loved taking pictures by this beautiful floral peacock she had created out of orchids. The first time I saw the entrance to my Sangeet I could not believe how she had transformed the space into something very grand. Our wedding and reception decorations were very elegant. The flower arrangements are very beautiful that so many people took them home. I highly recommend hiring Elegant Affairs as your decorator. Sharda and her team will not disappoint you. They work within your budget to create your dream wedding.

Don't even bother trying to use another decorator for an Indian wedding!! Sharda at Elegant Affairs thought of everything *and* came in under budget! Everyone at our wedding commented on how beautiful the decor and flowers were and they exceeded our expectations as well. Elegant Affairs was extremely responsive during the entire planning process and had every detail nailed down long before the day of our wedding. Elegant Affairs is easy to work with and extremely well organized, and they delivered a top quality product that made us so happy on our big day!

Sharda and her team were excellent at providing decor and flowers for our October 2017 wedding at the Sheraton Mahwah. We appreciated all the meetings and email communications we were able to have with her. Her organization of flower bouquets was absolutely perfect - my wife was awestruck at at this pinpoint precision. Happy wife, happy life. A+ for Elegant Affairs.

Elegant Affairs is the ONLY company to utilize when it comes to any celebration! I hired them for both my engagement and wedding events and they were incredible! Specifically, Vikram Panicker - the creative genius I trusted with my vision. He delivered beyond my expectations and created a stunning mandap I had never seen before. He understands personalities and then guides you in the right direction. If it wasn't for him I would not have gotten my dream wedding!! His assistant Klodiana was also very pleasant to work with and was responsive whenever I had a question. It really is a no-brainer when it comes to hiring a decor company that there is no one better than Elegant Affairs and Vikram Panicker. Know that you're only getting the best when it comes to them! Can't wait to hire them again for all my future events!

Vikram worked with us to design all of our wedding events, and I cannot stress enough that he is the BEST in the business. I was not the best at explaining my "vision" but somehow Vikram was able to grasp EXACTLY what we wanted it and made our events look more beautiful than I could have ever even imagined. I felt like I had a celebrity wedding thanks to Vikram and his amazing team. We had totally different looks for our Sangeet, Ceremony and Reception and he made them all work perfectly. He also really listened to what I wanted and never tried to push his own tastes on us. Also, we never felt that Vikram was trying to over charge us. In fact, many times he would discourage me from some more expensive ideas, reminding me that in the long run little details would not be cost effective. However, don't be fooled- EA is not cheap, but we think going with them is the best decision we made for our wedding. I trusted Vikram more than I did my wedding planner. He went above and beyond and helped me with other planning decisions and even was there to bring me water when I was nervous just before the ceremony! One warning-- Elegant Affairs is busy. They may not respond in a timely manner, and for me this was really stressful. However, if you trust the process and know that they will get things done. Your wedding will be beyond anything you ever imagined. 100% recommend!!

Elegant Affairs is bar none the BEST team to create the decor for your wedding on the east coast - save your time and book them now! I can't begin to say how much I appreciate Sharda and her whole team. Upon the first meeting to the endless emails, phone calls and questions she was so attentive to us making sure we felt like we were completely taken care of and comfortable for our event. But, the proof is in the day. No matter how many times you see the fabric, layout, or pictures you simply cannot imagine how STUNNING it is all put together and their team pays attention to every last detail. Also do not underestimate how important it is that your vendors stay ON TIME - I have heard horror stories of the mandap being delayed and couples not being able to take pictures and ceremonies pushed out. You will never have to worry about that with this team. Thank you Sharda and everyone at EA for the most wonderful sangeet, wedding & reception we could ask for!

Thank you to Shobha, and the Elegant Affairs team, for the amazing job they did at our wedding reception! I wanted to stray a little from the norm of indian wedding decor and opted for a garden theme. Shobha's execution was beyond what I could have imagined! The venue smelled like a garden, and the stage was magical and romantic. Weddings can be extremely stressful but working with Shobha was a dream. Highly recommend!!

We hired elegant affairs for our wedding based on countless reviews and family experience. They are literally the best decorators for Indian weddings on the east coast! My fiancé and I were so impressed by the final designs and couldn't be happier. Elegant Affairs was one of the best vendors we were lucky to have at our wedding. They are exceptionally professional, artistic and dedicated to creating your dream day. Our wedding day was perfect and flawless and we owe it all to Vikram, Ronak and the elegant affairs team. They truly know how to deliver and go above and beyond their roles. They are very accommodating and work with you and your family to create your dream wedding. My groom and I couldn't have been happier with how perfect our wedding and reception looked.

Elegant Affairs has been in the business for many years and you can understand why as you work with them. They are very professional, with a great staff to deal with any administrative issues. However, they are also very creative and willing to work with your vision (and budget) in a way that will still result in a beautiful event.

I went in for my appointment with Sharda very excited because I loved what I saw on this vendor's social media pages. Sharda walked in, didn't introduce herself, just asked who I was, and sat down without any kind of introduction at all. Then when I proceeded to explain to her my vision for the wedding she began to draw up her own idea of what she wanted including candles and things I didn't like or want at all. She also kept looking at the door in the middle of our conversation to the people walking in and out. That was the first red flag. Whenever you're meeting with a vendor you should be their top priority for the time that you're there with them. I felt like I was hardly keeping her attention the entire time. She even got up to do something in the middle of our meeting. After we left she didn't provide me with a price point and I felt like she didn't really hear what I had asked for but she assured me she would email me within the week with a quote and even encouraged me to email her my ideas and any pictures I had. One month later and I have sent multiple emails to both Sharda and her administrative assistant Jessica at the Fairfield office and no one has gotten back to me. I guess they don't value my business. Perhaps it's because I am only having one reception and not a mehndi/sangeet/walima as well like they are used to. I can only guess why I was treated this way. It was extremely disappointing because I took the time out of my otherwise busy weekend to come and meet with them. When I emailed them to say I was taking my business elsewhere I was completely ignored. So unprofessional. And for the record the gorgeous pictures I saw on social media are from the offices in NYC and Dallas, NOT Fairfield, NJ. Keep in mind I was treated like this before I even BOOKED, now imagine I had booked them and they did this on my wedding day?! And for anyone wondering their price point is $5000 minimum. Although I dare to venture a guess that they won't give you the time of day unless you verbally come out and say your budget is more than that. Good luck ladies and avoid this vendor at all costs.

We used Elegant Affairs to do all the flowers at our intimate spring wedding at my childhood home in NJ. Our guests were dazzled by the amazingly beautiful and fresh flowers that adorned the tables and were placed around the house. In terms of quality, you cannot get any better than Elegant Affairs. They were able to customize our floral and other decorative elements to perfectly fit my vision. We used quite exotic flowers, and Elegant Affairs gave us a fair price for what we wanted. What we got was an AMAZING display of high-end florals that were more gorgeous that I could ever have imagined. I highly recommend this company for any future brides looking to WOW their guests and get their dream-come-true fairytale flowers.

After working with Elegant Affairs, I can understand why they are the best decorators in the tristate area! For our Indian wedding, we worked with them on our sangeet, wedding, and reception. All three events had very different looks, but Elegant Affairs achieved this so easily. Gopal painted a picture of how it would look, walked us around their warehouse and showed us the samples of items that would be used. We spent hours working on the layout and details, but the conversations were always efficient and productive. On the actual day of the events, the overall look that was achieved was even more magnificent that I could have imagined. We received so many compliments and our color themes looked incredible. I would highly recommend working with them!

I hope I have the right florist. Christina 212 242 4584 is wonderful to work with and does an absolutely amazing job. She made The Yale Club look romantic and beautiful. When my daughter and I saw it we were in "AW". I can't say enough on how beautiful it was. The girls carried cali lilies, not just a few and a real nice bouquet. This is the place to go, wonderful!!

A few friends and other vendors raved about Shobha and Sharda at Elegant Affairs so when I first reached out to them for my wedding, I was trying to get in touch with one of them which was really difficult. Their meeting times were very limited, often not in the office, etc. I ended up getting in touch and working directly with Gopal and I am so happy I did. He did an amazing job, sat with me on many different occasions to make sure we narrowed down all the details. He worked with me on our budget and the decor turned out marvelously, particularly for the ceremony. He personally came on-site on my wedding day for the morning ceremony and evening reception to make sure everything was done well. He was pleasant throughout the process and it was fairly easy to get in touch with him if I had any questions (and I had PLENTY!) The wedding venue (Birchwood Manor) had worked with them many times before and also had many positive things to say about them. It's always nice when vendors know each other and have good relationships with one another. It helps the day go by that much more smoothly. I highly recommend. They have a rep of being pricy but they will work with you on your budget and still do a good job. However, I didn't get any centerpieces from them as I handmade all of mine on my own. I do know their centerpiece prices are more non-negotiable and pricy. The other tough part is getting in touch with Shobha/Sharda.

Worth the extra bucks to have a breathtaking wedding, reliable service, and work with wonderful people.

Elegant Affairs was the best decision we made in one year of wedding planning. All of our guests were completely wowed by our wedding décor, and my husband and I were completely surprised when we saw it – our wedding was so much more beautiful than we could have ever imagined. We live in NYC, and went to a ton of different florists in the area. We went to the ‘celebrity florists’ that consider themselves the ‘best in NYC’ (and coincidently most expensive). But from the moment we met Sharda at Elegant Affairs, we knew we had our florist. Quickly it became obvious why EA is so praised in the industry. Sharda has an amazing vision. She isn’t like the other florists we met who try to convince you to spend more or else your vision isn’t quite possible. (We had a few florists tell us that!) Our wedding was an Indian-Italian formal black-tie affair at The Capitale in NYC. If you have any hesitation about choosing Elegant Affairs, ask them to show you pics of our wedding!!! The set-ups on the wedding day were very well-coordinated. We had a pretty complicated day with two ceremonies and some re-use of flowers from the morning to the evening. It all worked out very smoothly. Caitlin and Kinjal were also fantastic to work with. They were always patient and kind – despite me calling them nonstop with questions...We had 13 versions of our contract over 5 months. (!!!) Overall, we were incredibly pleased with Elegant Affairs. I can’t imagine my wedding without Sharda involved. I will really miss working with her. She felt like family to us. We are so so grateful to have met her!

I went to all the decorators out there before deciding on Elegant Affairs. What I loved about working with Elegant Affairs is their desire to create unique designs & also helping you stay within your budget but still getting an amazing look. Most places I went would really try to upsell you, Elegant Affairs made it known that this is what you can get in each budget, and if you are trying to go for a certain look, it is more important to spend your money on X than Y to achieve that. I worked with Sharda & Gopal and they have such an eye for decor that I never had to worry that I was in the wrong hands. We did three events with them (sangeet, ceremony, and reception) and each time we walked in the room we were thrilled with how it looked. Thank you Elegant Affairs for making our wedding day even more beautiful! :)

I did a fair amount of research on decorators/florists and found that Elegant Affairs had the greatest and most upscale selection. Shobha in particular was great to work with - she understood my vision, made thoughtful recommendations and was patient and not all pushy. She has great taste and worked with my budget. Her staff were responsive and easy to work with, both in advance of the wedding, on the day of, and afterward. Their pricing may be on the higher end, but I felt that it was worthwhile and earned; I didn't have to worry about them making mistakes, as they were very thorough and able to execute. I had a South Asian wedding and used Elegant Affairs for my pre-event, ceremony and reception. I would recommend using them for all events as the full package will likely be the best value. I also recommend walking through their warehouse for inspiration and to get a feel for the fabrics and furniture they have available.

We loved working with Elegant Affairs. They are so knowledgeable and worked with us to get the perfect decor. They are attentive and have amazing taste! We loved working with the team there and would recommend them to anyone. They are definitely worth every penny. Working with this team you can feel confident that the decor will be exactly what you want on your wedding day.

Elegant Affairs are the florist that the Surf Club allows (unless you want to pay a fee). Be that as it may Lisa Russo-Event Coordinator did a fantastic job in dreaming my vision of lavendar roses in to life. all my flowers were beautiful.

We were thrilled with the flowers and mandap set up by elegant affairs. It was exactly what we envisioned for our ceremony and reception. They were extremely professional and Shoba is a pleasure to work with.

I worked closely with Sharda and have known of her and this company for a decade from attending other weddings, mostly Indian weddings. I knew I wanted to work with them when my own wedding day came around. They are tasteful, own and can rent out all sorts of adorable Indian loungey furniture pieces, and can go from simple to elaborate. THey CAN work with ay budget. And for me who did not know what I really wanted, Sharda was a wonderful guide into the world of color and flowers. She loves her work and cares about it and is a total professional.

They do a lot of Indian wedding decorations. They have a lot of variety of things in their warehouse and you can see what you want beforehand and pick from it. They worked with me to give me exactly what I want and within my budget. Their initial estimate was very high but we were able to negotiate well. They had some great ideas and were able to incorporate my ideas in with theirs to give me an elegantly decorated wedding. They understood my viewpoint very well and when they didn't, they were willing to listen and make changes. I would definitely recommend them to any Indian bride.
