our initial meeting I knew Elegant Affairs would be perfect! I personally am quite a planner and Tiphany recognized that immediately and knew that a day of coordinator was all I needed. I felt heard and not pressured at all which is what I had experienced from other businesses or potential coordinators. The most challenging part about my wedding was that I had a separate location for the ceremony and reception. That didn't seem to be a concern for Tiphany and Lori. Both of them knew of my venues and had tons of experience working at each location. Lori and Tiphany took the time to complete a full walk through at each venue and were amazing help in asking questions I hadn't thought of. We had a plan A-Z for anything that could've happened. Lori handled everything at our wedding ceremony venue (Thornewood Castle) and Tiphany handled everything at our reception venue (Pioneer Park Pavilion). I cannot praise these women enough. I got to thoroughly enjoy my wedding day from start to finish without anyone pestering me. These ladies handled EVERYTHING. Lori helped me with an alternative send off and constructed a balloon arch in MINUTES! Lori was amazing during all of the photos and had even worked with our photographer (Jerome Tso) many, many times and knew exactly what he was looking for in each of our shots. While Lori was managing Thornewood, Tiphany was hard at work with another assistant decorating our reception venue. Tiphany handled setup and all of our vendors arrival times. She thought of things that I hadn't and made the reception venue look beautiful. I am Cambodian and it was incredibly important for my family and I to incorporate our culture and tradition into the reception. Tiphany managed everything that was thrown her way, even if hiccups arose. She wasnt afraid to jump in and make it such a seamless event. Tiphany made sure that I had food, water, lipgloss and everything in between! I received SO many compliments from our guests about how seamless both the ceremony and reception were. I honestly have no idea how these women kept on our schedule, but they did! We were even AHEAD of schedule mostly and the credit entirely goes to Elegant Affairs. There aren’t many people I would feel confident in handing things on my behalf but Tiphany is at the top of my list. All of our planning was done well in advance to be perfectly organized the day of and everything went so smoothly so we could truly enjoy our special day. Also, using their preferred vendors list made everything so easy because of Tiphany’s experience in working together with all of them. On the day of the wedding we did not have to worry about one single thing… From the layout to the setting up of decor, chairs, tables, and every other small bump that came up on the day-of, Tiphany handled it all with calmness and absolute professionalism. Our families RAVED about Tiphany all night long and appreciated how available she was throughout the night and also her willingness to help deconstruct and take everything down in a timely manner. that we live in Florida we thought that having a wedding planner on the ground would be essential. We interviewed several other wedding planners but immediately clicked with Lori. She has a very calming yet attentive personality so we could tell that we were in good hands from the first zoom call. The planning process followed her script and she and her team did the heavy lifting of reviewing, contracting and communicating with vendors. We had 5 or 6 zoom calls from the 10 months or so from when we signed with her to the wedding and felt like she had everything under control at all times. Most importantly when our venue had to break our contract about 3 weeks before the wedding she was able to secure a completely new venue that was amazing and everything went off without a hitch. I'm not certain how long she's been doing weddings in the PNW but she seemed to have relationships with all of the venues, DJs and florists we were interested in. The day off coordination from her and Tiphany was impeccable and again another curveball happened where our Officiant couldn't travel to the wedding at the last minute so Lori stepped up to officiate as well. I can't say enough positive things about Lori, Tiphany and Elegant Affairs. 10 out of 10 stars.

at our cousin's destination wedding in Cabo. We were very impressed that she could throw a wedding in another country. We hired her when the wedding planning became too complicated and stressful. Which it will always be. It was like having a best friend/mom plan everything. She picked up our style right away and was so on top of everything. We had zero worries. Even during Covid, everything went off without a problem. Our wedding was magical and perfect and we owe it all to Lori. She even officiated for us and made me cry multiple times. s the first call I made. I always knew I wanted a wedding planner but didn’t realize how much I needed one! Lori is AMAZING!! From the start she was on top of everything, recommending amazing vendors, helping pick out our colors, invites, advice on wording, all of it. When our original wedding date in June 2020 was postponed to 2021 due to COVID; Lori handled everything and made the situation as stress free as possible for us. When it came time to start planning again she was right there, updating us on all the constantly changing rules and regulations, and being the positivity I needed when I was stressed about not knowing what our wedding would end up looking like. The day came and it was perfect! I had zero stress day of because I knew Lori and her team had it covered. My husband and I got to enjoy every second of the day and when anything came up Lori was already taking care of it. I honestly do not know what I would have done with out her and I can’t say enough great things!

She set out flowers and table decor, she knew where the rings were and when they’d be ready for photos, if I had a question I knew I could ask Lori and I didn’t have to bother the bride and groom with those questions on their wedding day. things ran smoothly for us vendors and most importantly the bride and groom! I’m not sure if setting out decor is part of her usual line of duties but she has an amazing eye and made the venue look amazing. in what ways a planner would help as I’d never planned a wedding. In a sense, I hired Lori almost blindly, not knowing what I had signed up for. Now looking back, I was very lucky to find Lori and also very lucky to have a planner from the very beginning I don’t know about other planners, but Lori is the MOST responsive and organized person I’ve encountered in my personal and professional life. All my texts / Emails were responded within hours, or if she's occupied, she'd tell me she’s busy but would get back to me by xx time / day. The communication style makes life so much easier. She’s also a doer – she executes quickly and decisively I was engaged in Feb 2019 and the original wedding date was June 2020. Yes, I call it the original because we had to postpone once to late Aug in April, and then had to "cancel" it in July due to COVID. Although we did not end up having the actual wedding day this year, Lori, as the planner, has been by my side along the way and especially helpful when helping me navigate the challenges brought by COVID. I could always text / call her to know what's going on with COVID and the implication to my wedding without having to follow the ever-changing rules and noise in the media myself. She’s also a good listener and counselor when I got stressed out by the rising case numbers Aside from the graceful COVID help, I’ve also come to realize the value of having a planner in the planning process. Yes, planners help recommend reliable vendors, but there’s so much more to it. Lori has been in the planning business for more than 12 years. The long track record gives her rich resources and knowledge – I had her help on many aspects of planning – from contract review, to navigating conflicts with vendors / venue, to advice on timeline, to thoughts on my random ideas of adding certain decors I saw from ins / Pinterest, etc. Lori has been very open and affirmative to all my random ideas but also not shy of letting me know if something is too wild. Over the course of the past year, we’ve also become friends. We’d talk about things outside of wedding planning. I’d highly recommend Lori to my friends. She’s passionate, energetic, reliable and highly responsive. She’s a great listener and a phenomenal doer. She definitely makes bride’s life much easier in the planning process.

former Elegant Affairs intern I had firsthand knowledge of the extraordinary organization and attention to detail Lori pays to her events, so when my husband and I got engaged I knew just how huge of a positive impact a coordinator like Lori could have for our big day, and we were so lucky to have been able to book her. There seemed to be tens of thousands of details to consider when we were planning our wedding, and the having Lori to talk to about it all seriously minimized my stress levels. From our first consultation all the way through to the end of our reception and beyond, we knew no detail would be overlooked or ignored or too small. On the morning of our wedding, my mom gifted me an embroidered handkerchief that she had had on her bouquet, her mom had on hers and even her mom before that. 4 generations of women in my family had had this special heirloom on their wedding day and if it weren’t for Lori it may well have been lost forever. I’m so appreciative she kept her eye out, and that she realized it was an important piece of my family history. Thanks to Lori it’s something I might be able pass on to a daughter of my own someday. My husband and I had an absolutely fantastic time on our day, and we hosted a brunch with our new joines families the next morning. They relayed everything Lori had done to fix a few unfortunate mishaps, but we had been completely unaware that anything had gone awry because she quickly dealt with it on our behalf. We had no idea how busy she had been smoothing out those few unfortunate wrinkles that came up throughout the day, and unbeknownst to us, she was an absolute rockstar and filled in where other vendors dropped the ball. We can’t imagine our wedding day without Lori and I only hope that she’s available so that when my friends and siblings get married I can give them the gift of Lori’s services as well, as she made our day go that much more smoothly. We called Lori in the peak of wedding season, and even though we were getting married over a year later, we never felt less important than the bride getting married that upcoming weekend. At the end of every meeting, phone call, or email exchange she leaves you feeling prepared and ready for anything that can come your way. She also brings with her a wealth of fellow collaborative vendors to ease your mind as you are deciding on caterers, photographers and venues. I cannot say enough for the work and love that Lori put into our day, but I do know that I couldn't have done it without her.

They were extremely attentive to everyone's needs they made sure everything happened when it was supposed to happen to the letter. They made sure we exited the venue timely, they made sure any issues were properly addressed so there was no stress on the bride, the mother of the bride, the mother of the groom. She made sure that everything went smoothly and any behind the scenes glitches were unrecognizable. She knows her stuff and she's excellent at her job. I left that event knowing that Elegant Affairs had to plan my wedding (I wasn’t even engaged yet). Fast forward one and a half years, and I was now engaged. We started to plan our wedding and we landed on a destination event and an in-town reception. This furthered my resolve that Lori was going to be critical to making our dreams a reality. Lori not only helped us plan a wedding in Cabo San Lucas (in addition to the rehearsal, rehearsal dinner, and welcome happy hour), she also planned out the entire reception back home. Lori makes her brides and their significant other feel like they are the only two people in the world. When she has a planning meeting with you, she really listens and makes sure that what is important to you is present on your special day. She also is a negotiation ninja – be it in the markets in Mexico while we were picking out the décor for our reception, or on the phone with vendors who wanted to charge a crazy fee for upgraded chairs, she went to bat for us time and time again. Without Lori we wouldn’t have been connected with our amazing photographer Eric James whose talents were above and beyond our expectations, or the incredibly talented Shane from Oak and Fig Floral who helped build table scrapes that our family and friends are still talk about. Even her husband Steve pitched in and acted as a bouncer when a group of people tried to crash our small 50-person wedding. Lori built us a team of people who were able to far exceed our wildest dreams and she did it on time, on budget, and in a foreign country. Having a wedding planner for some people may seem like an added expense. However, I strongly encourage you to consider what you want your day to look like. Working with Lori provides the bride all the fun of planning the wedding without the drama. Through this process my husband and I not only got the wedding of our dreams, but we also gained lifelong friends. I cannot recommend Lori and her team enough, if you are on the fence I would encourage you to at least call and set up an initial meeting. I promise you won’t regret it!

She created the exact wedding of our imaginations, giving recommendations and design insights. Lori took the stress of dealing with contracts and coordinating vendors; freeing us up to enjoy the design, DYI, friend and family bonding of the wedding planning process. She is the friend you want, the voice of reason you need, and the planner of your dreams! With Lori helming the staff at Elegant Affairs, they delivered a day that was whimsical, sophisticated, a little quirky and full of love. They delivered a day that was all us! Behind the scenes Lori and her team were so well coordinated that you don’t even notice they are working magic to have your day flow smoothly. Every timeframe was hit, every design element executed to perfection, every detail thought of.

From planning, decorations, seating, recommendations on a photographer, to writing the perfect script for our ceremony and backing us up when the caterer decided to bail...Lori was fantastic. Every one of our guests had a great time, everything came together. Even when we surprised her at the last minute with some minor changes (like when we told her a week before the wedding that he had a live band coming), she was professional, and on top of it all. Nothing fazed her! Seriously people...if you want a professional who delivers at a great price and provides an amazing ceremony and event...she’s the one I’d recommend!
