I highly recommend elegant ensembles! April played the violin for our wedding ceremony! She sounded beautiful and we received lots of compliments. She is very professional and easy to work with!

We hired Elegant Ensembles for our wedding (two violinists and a cellist) and they were fantastic! I have always wanted to have this type of music at my wedding and they were everything I dreamed of. Our guests kept telling us how wonderful they were and how much they enjoyed the songs. They have a wide range of music to select from including classical, rock and pop. I also asked if they could play a hymn for our ceremony and it was beautiful. They added the perfect touch to our wedding and would highly recommend April and her ensemble!

Bellissimo! April and the string trio played during our wedding ceremony and cocktail hour. So many of our guests commented on how beautiful the music was that morning. They played a wide variety of music, and all of it sounded lovely. It was an unusually cool fall morning, but April and her team were flexible in working to find a location that worked to keep their hands and instruments warm. Highly recommend!

We loved having live musicians as a part of our wedding day! Elegant ensembles was easy to communicate with and had a great list of songs to choose from. Our guests loved the music during cocktail hour as well. The only hiccup we experienced was during our first look. EE was setting up for the ceremony and there was a large storage container near where the groom was standing. Our photographer kindly asked one of the musicians to move their container so it wouldn’t be in our pictures and they replied in a not so friendly tone “I will in a minute”. My husband (the groom) had to speak up and tell the musician that we were trying to do our first look and can they please move the container (Which then they happily did once they realized he was the groom). Working well with other vendors helps keep the stress off the bride and groom! Other than that everything went smooth as butter! :)

April and her team played my wedding on 10/14/23 and did a wonderful job. They were easy to work with and played exactly the music we wanted, including some special requests. Would be willing to work with them again in a heartbeat. They were awesome!

We used a piano player for our cocktail hour and dinner and it was a wonderful experience. She played so well and it really helped set a wonderful atmosphere.

I hired Elegant Ensembles later on our wedding planning journey and I am so glad I invested on this. I already had a vision on what songs I want to be played at our ceremony. I knew I was gonna walk down to Yellow by Coldplay and end it with A Sky Full of Stars. The church only had a pianist for us and I knew having a violinist will make everything more elegant and emotional, so I just have to hire one and I am so glad I found April. She was so approachable and she made sure to be in synced with our church pianist. She even played couple of songs before the ceremony started and everyone kept saying how beautiful our church ceremony was. April, you were amazing! Thank you for everything you have done to make our ceremony a magical one.

I always wanted to walk down the aisle to live musicians, so after much research I reached out to Elegant Ensembles. They work with a variety of musicians and I ended up having a harp, cello and flute play for my ceremony and cocktail hour. It brought so much elegance and romance to our wedding. The music selections I choose were a nod to my late grandmother, and I wish she could have been there to appreciate it. I was a little nervous about having musicians play at a ceremony without a rehearsal with them, but it was no problem at all. We gave them the wedding program and everything was perfect :) It was everything we imagined.

April Berkowski's Elegant Ensembles provided a quartet for my daughter Hannah's wedding. The music was perfect for the ceremony, as well as the cocktail hour that followed. I hired Elegant Ensembles June wedding upon my wedding venue's recommendation of the group and my mom's insistence we had a string quartet for our ceremony. She couldn't have been more right! All my interactions were with April (the owner) and she was great to work with. She made sure to take care of coordinating their performance and ensured the music selection was to my taste. Many guests have told me they were very impressed with the performances at both our ceremony and cocktail hour--especially with some fan favorites like the Game of Thrones theme song the quartet incorporated! I look forward to hearing more of Elegant Ensembles performance in our wedding video!

April was amazing to work with from start to finish. She was flexible with our unique needs and set list and while we didn't personally get to hear much of the performance, our guests raved about it! Looking forward to getting our video back so we can hear more of the trio!

We worked with Elegant Ensembles for our April 29th, 2017 wedding. I dealt with April who is the owner and she was a pleasure to work with. She always returned my calls promptly, and was on top of everything!!! She made sure to take care of coordinating their performance with both the church the reception venue. Additionally, I had the pleasure of having April herself perform alongside two other talented musicians. The string trio performed at both our church ceremony and the cocktail hour. They did a great job, they were on time, and played beautifully. :-)

What a wonderful trio. We played a variety of songs that are not traditional church songs and they learned them all and played beautifully. Really a pleasure to work with and have at our ceremony. People continue to email me about how lovely the music at my wedding was. Highly recommend!

We had the Northbrook String Quartet provide music for our ceremony, and they did such a WONDERFUL job! The music was simply beautiful and provided such an element of elegance to the ceremony, it was just perfect. The only complaint I had was with regards to paying the musicians through Elegant Ensembles (had to give my credit card number by fax or over the phone, which I don't like doing), and for whatever reason, we weren't allowed to tip our musicians directly, it had to go through the company...otherwise though, they were great!

April at Elegant Ensembles was our main contact. She made everything easy by sending us a form to fill out a few weeks before our wedding. The form gave our pianist all of the information she needed without us having to coordinate with another person. Also, although we wanted to use a few traditional songs that were on their list we also wanted to use piano versions of some more current songs. April went out and found the sheet music so our pianist would be able to play exactly what we wanted. The day of our wedding our pianist (Robyn) was right on time and had all of the information she needed. She coordinated with the contact at our venue and our officiant to make sure she had all the correct cues without us having to be involved. Working with elegant ensembles was simple and seamless!

Elegant Ensembles did an amazing job at my ceremony - they took all my unusual requests (I chose some music for processionals that are not typical for weddings) and made everything work beautifully. They really made the entire ceremony beautiful. I can't thank them enough!

April and her trio team performed the ceremony music at my wedding on 6/14/14. First off, April was great to work with,flexible and professional. Second, they dressed for the occasion and looked great. Last, these are great musicians. They did an awesome performance and I was very pleased. I would highly recommend this group! (I am a former musician myself. I played viola for several years. Beinga former musician, one can be critical.. but they performed great)

April and Ken did such a great job with our Wedding. We couldn't be happier with their performance, professionalism and style. Everything went exactly the way we imagined and added Elegance to our Wedding. We couldn't ask for anything more.

Elegant Ensembles was great to work with. April was very helpful, and our harpist (Laura) was phenomenal. They worked with Dom's sister, who is a professional trumpet player, to put together a great and memorable performance.

I was first most impressed that April took time out of the middle of her Sunday afternoon to come and play violin for our relatively quick wedding ceremony! She was friendly, accommodating, and very easy to work with! She and the other musicians (who were essentially strangers to each other:) blended perfectly and created such beautiful music for our ceremony! Poised, personable, and professional, Elegant Ensembles provided the perfect accompaniment to my daughter's wedding last Sunday. As a professional musician, I was entrusted to choose the music. After due diligence and a half-hour chat with April, I was confident that I was making a good choice, but Elegant Ensembles (string trio--two violins and cello) exceeded my expectations. Working with April, the booking and arrangements went very smoothly and professionally. We choose some pop and classical selections from the group's repertoire, and added some special requests--including a 1920s' pop waltz, "Peggy O'Neil," that had been performed at the bride's great-grandparents' wedding. Of course, we had some anxious moments the day of the event, but I had little anxiety about Elegant Ensembles, and indeed the music at the reception could not have been better. April's mix of our selections with her own choices proved ideal, as did the trio's charming presentation and appropriate volume level. Several professional musicians (among others) at the reception commented on the quality of the music, and my sister, not knowing the trio's name, mentioned how "elegant" they were. Our church's organist (a good friend who occasionally moonlights as a jazz pianist) perked up his ears when he heard April's lovely arrangement of "Peggy O'Neil," wondering aloud what that tune could be, which he guessed was from the 1910s or 1920s. As we'd requested, Elegant Ensembles played "Peggy O'Neil" during the cake cutting, and my wife teared up as she excitedly informed her siblings and cousins about the family history with the song. A very memorable moment in a very special day. I heartily recommend Elegant Ensembles--five stars all the way. -CD

I have been friends with April for years now, but have not had the opportunity to see her play the Violin...WOW did not know that she was that talented along with her guitarist Tom Vitacco who sang such a beautiful song to us for our First Song ..I had tears in my eyes...April & Tom definitely set the Mood for our Party, making it so Amazing and Beautiful...Thank You, Thank You, Thank YOU!!!!! We were really happy with our experience with Elegant Ensembles. We were lucky a wedding planner recommended them to us. April was very responsive to our particular requests leading up to the ceremony. We played all contemporary music (with violin, guitar, and cello per April's spot on recommendation), including one song not on their list and we were very impressed with how it turned out. They definitely came through for a very important part of our wedding day. Highly recommend.

April and Ken were absolutely amazing! They performed the music for my ceremony and then the cocktail hour. Not only were they extremely professional but they were also self-directed. They didn't need clarification or direction from anyone and knew exactly where to go. Their timing was impeccable. We had some special request songs that we wanted played for our ceremony and they took the time to learn them which we thought was amazing! Really, the music they performed MADE our ceremony! My wedding coordinators recommended Elegant Ensembles to me, and I am so happy with the results! We opted to go with a violin/guitar duo as our wedding musicians - the combination was incredible. My ceremony music was VERY important to me and I had VERY specific and custom requests! From the start, April was a pro to work with. She carefully assisted me with conceptualizing my ideas and making them into a reality.
