I had the pleasure of hiring Elegant Ensembles, managed by Mark Snow, for our wedding day, and I cannot recommend them enough. We opted for a string trio to perform during the prelude, ceremony, and cocktail hour, and they truly exceeded all expectations. From the moment we contacted Mark, he was incredibly accommodating and attentive. He listened attentively to our preferences and made sure every detail was tailored to our liking. One of the standout aspects of our experience was their willingness to learn and perform new songs that held special meaning to us. Hearing those songs played live during our ceremony made the moment truly unforgettable. On the day of the wedding, Elegant Ensembles set the perfect tone for each part of the event. Their music was not only beautiful but also perfectly timed and flawlessly executed. Elegant Ensembles did a beautiful job at our wedding ceremony! Everything went really smoothly and the music played was beautiful. Lots of options for what they could play and we didn't feel as though anything was missing. Pricing was great compared to a lot of the other vendors we looked at as well. Would recommend!

Big Disappointment I was impressed with the website of Mark Snow & Elegant Ensembles; however, I should have gone with my gut feelings quickly after I had hired this group. Mark Snow was quick to respond when I first left a message regarding hiring them for my daughter’s wedding; however, after I had hired them & sent in the initial deposit I could not get a response to my phone calls, emails or texts. I finally had my husband call from another number & Mark Snow was quick to respond thinking someone else was interested in hiring them. This was one of the most important days in my family’s life & nearly everything was so wonderful, indeed a day for good memories but the elegant ensemble’s performance was not what I thought it would be & definitely not what I paid for. First of all, Mark Snow was not even there & never gave me a heads up that he would not be coming. I hired a quartet & the last lady for the quartet got there at 3:55 with prelude beginning at 4:00. More than one guest came up to me & said they overheard conversation between the acting leader & this lady asking her where she would like to sit & the lady said it didn’t matter that it had been so long since she had even played that she probably wouldn’t play much anyway. Now It is my belief that this group of 4 had never played or practiced together prior to this date. It may be that professionals do not have to play or practice together to be good, but I did not find this to be true. Instead of the songs flowing one after the other, there were long pauses between each & every song. It was awkward for the wedding processional & the recessional was supposed to be such a great song but it just didn’t happen the way it should have. Thank goodness the DJ took up some slack while the strings took breaks. Again, very awkward & not what I anticipated nor paid for. If you want a special moment with having a quartet, I would definitely NOT recommend this group. I did reach out to Mark Snow & he made the usual excuses & said he would check into everything, but it’s been over a week & I still haven’t heard back from him. I just don’t want what happened to me to happen to anyone else. Whoever your hire, check them out & then check them out again. I don’t know who the group is playing on the website that sounds so good, but it was not our experience at all.
