They helped create a spectacular event that was visually stunning, and they wowed all of us! The entire staff was professional, timely and so patient. There was an extensive setup involved (about 12 hours with a team of staff members). Jay and his team designed the perfect lighting experience for my client. There were static uplights, focal lighting on my buffets and bars, and color-changing moving lights all around the ballroom and floor that layered in interesting textures to highlight this event. If I could describe elegant event lighting’s work in one word it would be STUNNING. The chandeliers we chose truly elevated our reception space. Cannot say enough about the staff… setup and takedown was flawless. And Maureen was amazing to work with!

We found EEL through our venue, Ivy Room, recommended list of vendors for uplighting and decor. Maureen helped us put together the details to bring our wedding vision to life. She was very patient when I changed my decisions various times about the ceremony drape style and color, and the lighting fixtures. Maureen even showed me additional styles less than a month before the wedding as I couldn't decide. She is the sweetest and the EEL team executed our vision to perfection. EEL had wooden rings surrounding the chandeliers and they worked seamlessly with our florist, Hedonia, as the floral team decorated the rings. The EEL team is professional and very experienced in event decoration. We received SO MANY compliments about the ceremonial drapes and chandeliers which brought elegance to our special day. EEL does so much more complex designs and beautiful work so I highly recommend EEL for wedding or any event to add a touch of magic to your day. Thank you!!

We are so happy we decided to go with Elegant Event Lighting for our special day. We had canopy lighting that brought such a beautiful ambiance to our reception room. EEL was probably our favorite vendor that we chose during our wedding and Maureen made everything so easy! We were somewhat last minute with our design needs and she made sure everything was easy and beautiful. Our reception space was completely transformed with stunning drapery and lighting that made our January wedding feel warm and festive. I received so many compliments on the decor from both our guests and our other vendors who were in the space. My dad could not believe the before and after! We are so thankful we found EEL and Maureen - they really made our reception everything and more we had hoped for!

Elegant Event Lighting exceeded my expectations! They were very helpful in the planning process by sending me pictures of what they offer in my exact venue so I could really see what it would look like for my wedding, being very responsive, laying all the expenses out for me so I would not be surprised by any hidden fees, and were very nice and answered any and all questions I had. They kept me updated on when payments were due and there were no hiccups with them. On the day of, they were timely and everything was gorgeous. I could not believe how they had transformed the space into something so perfect. We had multiple services done in our reception venue and they nailed it. Highly recommend!

It’s crazy to think we booked Maureen 3 years before we were married December 2021 (originally was supposed to be October 2020); but she stuck with us through thick and thin and never made us feel like we couldn’t depend on her!! When it finally came to our wedding day, she truly made our venue look like something out of a movie. The draping over all the walls, the escort table, the main entrance, draping on the ceiling and all the beautiful uplighting gave the illusion as if you were walking into a dream! She was a pleasure to work with and always very prompt in getting back to (my now husband and I!) Thank you Maureen for making our wedding the fairytale we always wanted. I hope we have another event in the future where we will need lighting and draping :)

Jay and Maureen are truly the best!! One of the best decisions we made for our wedding was hiring this team to do our ceremony and reception set up. The stage they set up for the ceremony was absolutely beautiful and the fairy lights in the ceiling drapes added so much to the tent we had our reception in. Even our coordinator at our venue said it was one of the best set ups she had seen in their marquee tent! Love love love!!! Elegant Event overdelivered on my vision for our reception decor. It was better than what I dreamed it would look like! We rented a white dance floor, string lights indoors, string lights outdoors on the balcony, and greenery on the ceiling. All of the decor truly enhanced the reception space and made it look so unique and added such a romantic touch. My guests also raved about how beautiful the reception was. Couldn't imagine my wedding day without all of this, thank you!!!

Maureen was a pleasure to work with for our up lighting and draping of our two tiered head table. We went through 3 date changes due to Covid and Elegant Event Lighting was able to move the date and further assist us with our many changes. Elegant Event Lighting provided us with a beautiful white vinyl dance floor with a customized monogram that included our names and last night. This was truly one of the highlights of our wedding. We had guests raving about it for week! The process of booking with Elegant Events was simple and communication was always top of the line! They were a joy to work with. Our draping and chandeliers for our wedding at Loft on Lake were breathtaking. Maureen was wonderful to work with leading up to the big day, and Katie did an amazing job on the draping. I would definitely work with them again - everything was beautiful!

The lighting was one of my favorite details of our wedding day, truly! We received so many compliments on the hanging lanterns and up lighting in the large white tent. Also, the lanterns were so fun to dance under all night! The lighting really brought the space together and made the dance floor more intimate while in a very large tent. The Elegant Event Lighting team (and Maureen who assisted in selecting the style and coordinating everything) was AMAZING to work with. We had really great vendors overall, and Elegant Event Lighting was probably my favorite! Maureen really listened to my thoughts, wants, and needs, provided examples, advice, and constructive feedback. Elegant Event Lighting helped make my day so special and carefree! We rented chandeliers, draping, uplighting, and a stage for our band for our wedding at the Chicago Botanic Garden. Everything was absolutely beautiful, but the chandeliers were especially magical. We received so so many compliments on the chandeliers and how it made the reception look like it was out of a fairytale (or current day influencer wedding)! Maureen from EEL was very helpful and easy to work with!

They were great to work with! So easy to communicate with and did a wonderful job setting up and taking down. The lighting was beautiful and transformed our indoor venue to look as if it was outdoors.

The lighting that was provided made our reception exactly perfect and it was the best finishing touch. Maureen was easy to work with, helped us with different ideas and was so flexible when I kept asking her to add and change things in our proposal. The were wonderful to work with despite me contacting them last minute and I’m so glad I found them for my extra lighting.

Jay was tolerant and flexible at Museum of Contemporary Art for a June wedding. He is a true artist but most important he gave his time and ideas at a venue where he had to provide lighting and draping for two different areas—rain or no rain. I highly recommend Jay.

We worked with Jay at Elegant Events Lighting to help with the vision for our wedding backdrop and lighting. Jay was quick to respond with great communication throughout the course of our planning and incredibly friendly, knowledgeable and helpful during our face-to-face meeting at the showroom. He kept me on track to get all of my (many) ideas in line and used his expertise to ensure that our ceremony and reception space looked cohesive and beautiful. All in all, the end result was stunning, the lighting and backdrop were perfect and the wrapped white dance floor was the icing on top of the cake. I received so many compliments on the overall feel and decor of the wedding and I give Jay and his team a lot of that credit! We used Elegant Event Lighting for our wedding and they provided cafe globe lights, dance floor with white vinyl covering and drapery. They were amazing to work! Everything turned out beautiful and we were so happy we went with them. They made the process beyond easy and never had a concern once with them. Highly recommend using Elegant Event Lighting!!

I will first say that they did an absolutely fantastic job at the actual reception hall and for that I am very grateful. Our guests are still talking about how beautiful our room was. The reason I couldn't give the extra star is because communication leading up to the event was a little rough. We were given a representative who seemed very nice but she did not reply to my emails for quite some time and I had to go straight to Jay. We were planning our wedding out of state, so this was pretty stressful...generally you just want answers and don't want to feel the need to go through a few different people to get them when planning a wedding with multiple vendors. Jay is extremely knowledgeable at what he does and very experienced but for someone who has been in this business for a while, I really didn't feel he understood that this was our first time doing anything like this and that we didn't have the knowledge he did. For example, we already let him know we were on a bit of a budget. As we found more money, we expanded where we could: including a vinyl dance floor. It was never mentioned that the monogram was extra anywhere, we were just told "you could have a monogram on your dance floor if you would like". I didn't discover this information till about a week or two before our wedding when we received our invoice and I had a mini panic attack. When I spoke to Jay, I felt like an idiot...which is not how you want to feel before your wedding. I spoke to another vendor to get a quote and they explained to me that the monogram is essentially a decal that is stuck to the dance floor like a sticker...hence the additional expense...makes perfect sense, just wish my actual vendor took the time to tell me that. All in all, they're definitely worth it! The room was perfect. I would just say my other vendors were way better at communication and explaining things in laymen's terms.

Jay and the EEL team was incredible to work with from start to finish. Jay was extremely responsive when starting the process to look for a lighting vendor, especially compared to other vendors. He was so knowledgable and helpful - I know nothing about event lighting so his expertise was really valuable. The pricing is fair and the lighting and decor turned out perfectly! So happy we chose EEL - thanks for making our vision come to life.

Our venue required us to use EEL for our lighting/draping needs for our wedding and I was not upset one bit. We chose the full draping option for Seven Bridges Golf Club and soft white lighting. It looked absolutely perfect with the darker plum tablecloths we had chosen. They were very easy to contact and setup everything with. Overall, we had a great experience using them!

The name Elegant Event Lighting doesn’t do them justice. Magnificent from start to finish!! Ever detail was absolutely spot on. From the Chuppah to the backdrops to the Isle runner & Lighting, it was the most romantic setting for my daughter’s wedding. Jay you and your crew knocked it out of the park!! Not only did Jay and his team exceed our lighting expectations for our wedding at the Chicago Botanic Garden, but he literally saved the day with a last minute construction of an easel for our welcome sign. I wanted to use a mirror for our welcoming sign which had been in my family for 3 generations and we found out a few days before the wedding that the easel we had rented would not hold the weight of the mirror. Jay and his team jumped into action for us and custom made an easel-which matched the arch he had previously fabricated for our ceremony and reception-and it was beautiful. Even though we contacted him over 18 months before our wedding, he was always immediately responsive to us on email and no detail was overlooked. We also rented a 12’ suspension ring for our suspended floral decoration over the dance floor and he expertly worked with CBG to remove the center lighting fixture, coordinated with Life in Bloom for the assembly and then installed the completed piece. We were so happy to have chosen Jay and his team and would recommend them highly.

EEL did such an amazing job accommodating to my vision of our wedding reception as well as making it effortless on our end! It was an absolute dream of a wedding reception with a floral ring with three chandeliers- thank you, Jay and EEL!

Wow! Where do I even begin.... When I first thought of the idea of a DIY wedding in my Godmother's back yard full of numerous heartfelt memories, I knew it would take planning, effort, and determination. I pinned on Pinterest for days, weeks, months, and finally came up with a dream vision for the ceremony and tent! I did my research with my now husband, and found Elegant Event Lighting. Being out of state planning a wedding, WE knew it would take more effort. Well, we were wrong! Jay and his team at EEL made our vision come to life even across the states. We had one meeting face to face to go over pictures, ideas, and a plan to make our dream wedding come to life, and his team really put it in action! Jay remained in constant communication with us from Arizona to Illinois. He not only had a positive attitude but made our wedding feel special and unique! He was determined to do what it takes to make all of our doubts diminish! The day of came and just WOW!!!! All of the effort his team put in, came to life in the perfect picture of our vision! We had an unexpected down pour right before the ceremony, but the lights held up and looked even more romantic then expected! The ambiance in the tent was just gorgeous and the chandelier above the dance floor! Our guests still compliment how beautiful it was... Now, don't even get us started on the ceremony 4 pole arch. We knew doing a unique "backyard wedding," that Darlene wanted the spectacular wedding feel! She also knew that she didn't want what any other venue had.... After numerous conversations, Jay brought her whimsical ceremony to life! We had a beautiful ivory ceremony arch/back drop with greenery! How romantic! We got to marry (the love of our life) under the most drop dead gorgeous setting. Jay and the Elegant Event Lighting Team, your effort (even with the last minute changes due to weather) really put ourselves at ease! We knew we were in great hands and could enjoy the day from sunrise till the party ended past 1 a.m... We will continue to recommend you to anyone that wants their unique wedding vision to come to life! Thanks again for making us feel special and that our wedding was unique and not just any wedding. I am so happy we went with EEL! The lighting really took the room to another level. Our reception was at Maggiano's and I was so worried about it just looking like the restaurant. We did lighting on the dance floor, pin point lighting on our centerpieces, and our names on the wall. I was so excited to see how beautifully it turned out. It made our pictures turn out stunning (we don't have professional pics back yet, but the ones friends and family took). Jay was so easy to work with and so helpful giving suggestions on what would make the room special!

Our wedding would not have been the same if it weren’t for Elegant Event Lighting. Jay was the person in charge of our event and from the consultation call to execution of event on the day of the wedding, he was just top notch! I loved that their company had previously worked at our venue, making him more knowledgeable of what he can and cannot do to the ballroom, eliminating the back and forth between the venue and the décor company. He helped me stay within my budget and still achieve the look I had in mind. To be honest, they actually went above my expectations! Our venue was already beautiful, they simply elevated it to be more romantic, giving us and our guests that WOW factor we are looking to have as soon as you walk in the room. And when we started having technical difficulties with our DJ company, Jay was quick to jump in and offer his expertise with audio and visual. He certainly saved the day!! I wish I found out about them prior to booking my other vendors, I’m sure they would have made everything else go seamlessly on the day of our wedding if that was the case.

Elegant Event Lighting came through HUGE!!. They made the backdrop of our day fabulous with there lighting, white acrylic dance floor, Monogrammed floor and etc.... They were very helpful every step of the way and answered all questions in a timely format. Highly suggest this company.

EEL was great to work with and their ‘final product’ was BEAUTIFUL. We worked with Jay (sales) and Katie (production) and they were both professional and efficient – Jay worked with our budget and even helped with a last minute addition which definitely made our wedding ceremony elegant and everything I wanted. Katie worked with my event planner, but I heard no complaints from either. Definitely recommend them.
