The ceremony music was beautiful and set the perfect tone. During cocktail hour, the live sax and keys created such a fun, elevated atmosphere that our guests couldn't stop talking about. Then once the reception started, the energy never dropped. The combination of a DJ with live musicians was the perfect mix of nonstop dancing and live entertainment. Our dance floor was packed all night, and so many guests told us afterward that it was one of the best weddings they'd ever been to because of the music.
A huge shoutout to our DJ/MC, James. From our very first conversation, he completely understood the vision we had for the day and brought so much personality and excitement to it. As a fellow Cowboys fan, he fully embraced all of the fun little details we wanted to incorporate, from our entrance to some of the surprise moments throughout the night. Those personal touches made the celebration feel uniquely us, and James absolutely nailed every one of them. Our DJ was James North, and we also hired several of their musicians for different parts of the day. Every single performer was incredibly talented. Even weeks after our wedding, people are still telling us how amazing the music was, how talented the musicians were, and how the entertainment created the perfect atmosphere from beginning to end. They set the tone for every part of the day, making everything feel elegant during the ceremony and cocktail hour, then turning the reception into an incredible party.
James was absolutely amazing to work with throughout the planning process. We had a Jewish-Persian fusion wedding, which meant there were a lot of moving pieces, traditions, and cultural elements to coordinate. He took the time to learn how to pronounce everyone’s names correctly, understand the flow of each ceremony, know exactly which songs needed to be played and when, and make sure that traditions from both of our backgrounds were honored. He seamlessly blended Jewish, Persian, and contemporary music into one cohesive experience that truly reflected us as a couple.
During the wedding itself, guests kept coming up to tell us how incredible the music was. People commented on how smooth the transitions were, how perfectly the energy built throughout the night, and how packed the dance floor stayed. Everything flowed effortlessly.
One of the biggest highlights was the saxophonist we hired through Elegant Music Group. Walking through the crowd, interacting with guests while playing, and bringing so much energy to the dance floor—it completely elevated the reception. People absolutely loved it, and it’s something our guests are still talking about.
Beyond their incredible talent, the entire team was organized, professional, responsive, and so easy to work with. Planning entertainment for a wedding can feel overwhelming, but they made the entire process stress-free and gave us complete confidence that everything would be perfect.
Another thing I really appreciated was that their pricing was fair and reasonable. We received quotes from other entertainment companies that were significantly more expensive, and I genuinely don’t think we could have received better service or talent than we did with Elegant Music Group.
I’m so grateful that friends recommended them to us because they were one of the absolute best vendor decisions we made. One thing that really stood out to us was how involved and excited EMG made us feel throughout the planning process. Before the wedding, we were invited to multiple EMG showcase events where we got to hear live bands, explore upgrades and enhancements for the wedding, and really immerse ourselves in the experience. The events were so much fun, complete with giveaways, merchandise, and an amazing atmosphere that made us even more excited for our big day.

e typically don’t love wedding music, Josuel found a way to make us and our crowd happy, starting with some more popular songs we like and mixing in more of our favorites toward the end of the night. He read the room and the crowd and adjusted to keep the party going. He also found a good balance of music to make sure everyone of varying ethnicities feel included. We really loved all the songs he picked out and were so happy. Even though disaster had struck (a technical issue with the venue’s equipment that caused the music to cut out a few times), he stayed professional and apologized to us after despite it not being his fault. I would definitely recommend EMG and specifically Josual for anyone looking for a personalized experience that doesn’t alienate your guests.

Our disappointments mostly fall on our specific DJ, Josuel. He was a no-show for two of our meetings because he slept through them. This is really hard when you’re already coordinating your work schedules with your fiancé to make these meetings work without using PTO, and than just to not have him start the zoom TWICE. Also he played the wrong version of our first dance, it was the right song name and right artist but it was not the acoustic version, and considering the app had the exact song we wanted this shouldn’t have happened.
Overall, even with those mis-steps we had a beautiful Wedding, and an amazing time!! Our guests still compliment the music played that night.

EMG introduced us to a few bands. We chose Electric Boulevard, because we wanted energy, variety, and range. Different styles. Different eras. Music for every age group.
Then we spoke with Lavelle. One phone call was all it took. He is a true entertainer. Confident. Organized. Sharp. He understood our vision immediately and took ownership of every moving part.

Lavelle and the band had over 220 guests on the dance floor all night. Every age group. No gaps. No drop in energy. Pure momentum from start to finish.

ob in every way, from MCing the night to putting on an absolute nonstop dance party he killed it. We got countless compliments about how good the music was both during and after the wedding. Not only was the song selection great, but he perfectly transitioned the songs and remixed them when needed to keep the energy flowing from one moment to the next. Furthermore every small detail that we cared about, from lowering the volume during dinner to where we wanted to start our first dance he paid attention to and executed perfectly. He was also a delight to work with.
We also hired a keyboardist through EMG to play during the ceremony and cocktail hour. They did a fantastic job as well, I’m very impressed with how full the music sounded with just one person. I can’t say I know much about playing piano but friends of mine who do said they thought he was fantastic.
Lastly we hired EMG for our lighting and they did a great job with this as well. All together I’m very happy we worked with them and can’t recommend them enough!

I don't even know where to begin as everything from start to finish was so seamless. In particular, Lavell (Electric Boulevard Band Leader) & the Electric Boulevard artists are truly masters of their craft. My husband and I were EXTREMELY picky about who we chose to perform at our wedding, as we wanted very specific types of music (not your usual, typical wedding songs). Not only did Lavell listen to us repeat this request multiple times and make us feel heard, but man did they deliver! The set list was EXACTLY what we were looking for. We did not stop dancing all night, and our guests cannot stop talking about how incredible the band was. We were beyond thrilled with their performance. I attempted to block them from leaving at the end of the night (lol) because I didn't want them to stop playing!! Truly unbelievable artists.
I would recommend EMG, and in particular Electric Boulevard to anyone planning their wedding and looking for a group of incredible, classy, true musicians & performers. t was fantastic. They aren’t a gimmicky large DJ company and run an amazing business. The app was my absolute favorite part of this experience because I had previously been keeping everything in my Iphone notes app. Having a location to put each piece of info with optional notes and your DJ having a direct connection to it is flawless. After we signed our contract we were connected with Travis as our DJ. Travissssss. Absolutely incredible night from the ceremony to the reception he crushed it. (He even handled a 2 minute ceremony like an absolute boss with a seamless transition to cocktail hour) From our first meeting with him, we knew we were all going to get along well, being into the same music and laughing about the same things, it was good vibes all around. Everyone kept making fun of me because Travis kept asking my opinion and I’d be like “yeah, whatever you want, you pick, I trust you” and would laugh because I just trusted his opinion wholeheartedly. stop raving about him! The lighting and photo booth also added a really fun, polished feel to the night.
That said, we do feel it’s important to share some context. As a gay couple, we were surprised and disappointed to see EMG launch their “EMG Bride” campaign—heavily promoted on TikTok—after we had already signed our contract. The branding centers exclusively on the bride and uses language that feels outdated and exclusionary to LGBTQ+ couples, grooms, nonbinary partners, and anyone who doesn’t see themselves reflected in that very traditional mold. Had the campaign existed when we were booking vendors, we likely would have gone in a different direction.
While the party itself was a blast, communication with our DJ was a little bumpy. He missed our final planning meeting, and on the wedding night, he told us dinner wouldn’t be served for another 45 minutes—which was incorrect and caused a spike of stress right before the evening’s main events. Thankfully, our coordinator was nearby and quickly cleared things up.
While we’re grateful that our guests had a great time, it would be hard to recommend EMG based on our overall experience and their current marketing direction. We sincerely hope they take this feedback to heart and work toward being more inclusive of all couples moving forward.

One of our favorite parts about the experience was working with Cesar. During our first meeting, Cesar got us started with EMG’s app, which really helped us plan and craft our key songs and timeline for the day. And when we met again to run through our selections, he really understood the feeling we wanted to curate, beyond ‘must-plays’ and our ‘do not play’ list. Cesar acted as our DJ and MC, and was an absolute all-star.
For our ceremony and cocktail hour, we had keys, and the vibes were perfect–romantic and thoughtful, and we’re so appreciative that they played a beautiful instrumental rendition of Edward Sharpe and The Magnetic Zeros’ “Home” for our processional.
As the reception kicked off, Cesar hyped us all up, announced our special moments, and kept everything stress-free, working with us and the venue to make sure all our key moments ran smoothly. He was calm, thorough, and fun to work with–Cesar and The Gramercy even helped us pull off a fast-paced photo-blitz with 20 tables. It was something that could have been a stressful experience, but The Gramercy (along with our photographers and a couple of drunk cousins) made it a really fun experience.
As the night progressed, The Gramercy had everyone from our 90-year-old aunts to the pre-teen flower girls on the dance floor. They shifted from well-loved wedding classics to 90s/00s jams, working in our favorite pop-punk, alternative and hip-hop songs. The experience was complete with amazing guitar solos, soulful keys, and a badass drummer, while Cesar created mash-ups that kept us jumping until the last song–Shout–riotously played.
And while the dance floor raged on, the EMG Photo Booth allowed our guests to capture some of our favorite (and funniest) pictures from the night. We were happy to learn that The Gramercy plays alongside other EMG acts a couple times a year so that newly engaged couples and married couples alike can come and hear their music. We’ll continue to rock out with them (although now that we’re an old married couple, we’ll keep the head-banging to a minimum). We would recommend them to anyone looking for an incredible band.

was very easy to work with and listened to our suggestions and music preferences. We love EDM, but knew we wanted to appeal to all, so we asked to mix in early 2000s and oldies. Jony did exactly what we asked for, and everyone loved it! The dance floor was packed all night.
We also added on piano for ceremony, sax for reception, and a photobooth. The piano songs we chose were all covers, and they were perfect. The sax was such a fun addition and everyone loved it. The photobooth was a hit and it was really fun to get an album with notes from our guests afterwards.
The communication and process with EMG was seamless and we can’t recommend them enough!

Leading up the wedding, Lavell made us feel calm and confident in the party we were planning. He was detail oriented, full of energy, and willing to talk through every question and thought I had (there were many). Lavell was patient with me. We had a unique taste in music and Lavell and the band were able to curate the most amazing lineup of songs for the night, everyone was on the dance floor.

Myself as the bride wouldn’t get off the dance floor the whole night! Rob is an incredible DJ, incredibly professional and overall great personality to be the MC. Bryan said he'd try to see if he could find it for our wedding. Not only did Bryan play this remix during our reception, but he told us afterwards that he made it himself and gave us a flash drive / email copy of the song.
