Owner Nancy Maio founded her first music contracting agency back in 1992. Her goal was to help local musicians find work. She's proud to have put together such a talented group. She loves working with couples to personalize their musical selection, and she would love to help you create the perfect experience for your celebration.
Elegant Music Services covers weddings in Milwaukee, Racine County, and beyond. They offer solo or vocalist, duo, trio, and quartet packages; packages include one to five hours of ceremony and reception coverage. A sound system and keyboard are also available for rental. I have played the violin since I was 5, and even after well over a thousand weddings, I love to play more than ever. I started my first music contracting agency in 1992 after finishing a Master's degree as a way to create more work for local musicians, and now I have a large pool of excellent musicians who I know and trust. I enjoy working with our clients to personalize their music, which in turn helps me to stay current with the latest trends, while still being familiar with the classic wedding repertoire. I live in Racine, WI with my husband Randy, a fantastic drummer, and our 3 cats.

eing played during cocktail hour because I was so busy. But I still highly recommend them. I sent Nancy a massive list of songs and they tried to accommodate it. They couldn’t play all the songs but they tried their best. Thanks for playing at my wedding!
PS, if you do want them outdoors, you will need some type of tent for them. I bought a tent but it was still too hot. They ended up playing inside the reception instead of the cocktail area. I was a little annoyed that my guests were walking around the reception and sitting down (which was suppose to be closed off). I was not able to do a first look of the reception with my hubby.

I had a violin and keyboardist play for the ceremony and cocktail hour. They were quick on their feet when the weather got bad and everything was moved inside. I was so glad we had them and I like to think they were partially responsible for making everybody cry at our ceremony.

We hired Elegant Music to play for a half-hour before the ceremony, the processional and recessional during the ceremony, and for an hour during cocktails after the ceremony.

The day of the wedding we had some surprise light rain in the area when the ceremony was about to start. Thankfully Nancy’s husband had thought to bring a tent they could sit under since the moisture would not have been good for the instruments. What a life saver! We were able to have the beautiful ceremony we had envisioned. The music as I walked down the aisle with my dad was absolutely perfect!

earn all the music for our ceremony with no problem. We wanted contemporary music, and they did not charge us anything for learning pieces that were not in their current repertoire. I think the only "negative" was that we weren't able to hear how the music would sound before the ceremony, which I may have been able to request, but didn't think to in the whirlwind of last minute to-dos. The music was beautiful, but one of the songs didn't quite carry over from lyrics to strings, so we may have decided to pick a different song had we known that ahead of time.
