Mark and his team are the best! They are experts; prompt, responsive, great communicators, and just completely on top of things. We chose their full service plan which was the best option for us. Hiring them was, without a doubt, the best decision made in planning my daughter’s wedding.

I would give Mark and his team 20 stars if I could! They went way above and beyond to make our wedding EXACTLY what we wanted. They are extremely organized, responsive, patient, kind, and true experts—from choosing a venue to choosing great vendors, and then making a dream come to life. They anticipate everything!! And know precisely how to execute in response to any request. I was in awe of how smoothly our wedding day went (and how gorgeous it was), and never once had to think about anything but enjoying the day. I could go on and on without being able to thank Mark enough. Elegant Savannah Weddings is the best (and in my opinion the most important) decision you will make when planning a wedding!!

“Elegant Savannah Weddings” did an outstanding job overseeing all administrative, rental, logistical, personnel, etc. aspects of our daughter’s recent wedding. A four-day series of multiple events made for a long list of complicated moving parts involving meals, hotels and transportation along with the usual music, photographer and other vendor rentals. Furthermore, since the wedding party and all invited guests were out-of-town, complex planning entailed both in-person and extensive long-distance meeting and coordination over the course of about 18 months prior to the wedding weekend itself. “Elegant Savannah” was our eyes, ears and feet on the ground from start to finish. They were well up to the task. In addition to handling all the practical “to do’s” and timelines, they also provided just the right amount of personal hand-holding to keep everyone calm and informed. Their entire staff was professional, thorough, responsive, creative, warm - and fun! It was our pleasure to have them be part of our family’s celebration.

Meg and Mark (and Emilie!) were a dream to work with. They are extremely responsive, always replying to emails immediately, available to jump on a call at any time, and solving problems before I even knew a problem arose. Planning a wedding in Savannah while living in NYC could have been stressful, but they made it so easy! From recommending vendors to allowing me to ship endless packages to their house, they made everything so easy and smooth. Perhaps more importantly, they're such kind, good people. Just seeing Meg on my wedding day brought me so much joy. I never could have gotten married without them!

I could not recommend hiring Mark, Meg, and their team anymore! They were absolutely incredible through the entire planning process. I was a total type B bride and would not have had nearly as beautiful, organized, and loving day without them. They were very responsive and somehow made me feel like I was there only bride because of how much detail and care they put into our big day. We also did not live in SC at the time of planning and they made us feel comfortable planning from afar.

Words can't describe how incredible Mark and Emilie are. They made our wedding planning process stress-free, organized, painless and FUN. Mark, Meg, Emilie and the entire team at Elegant Savannah Weddings are incredible! From the first call with Mark, I could tell I wouldn't have to worry about a thing! The ESW team is not only top-notch, well-connected, and hard-working, but they are extremely affordable! We had a 300+ guest list (200 attended) at a large outdoor venue with lots of interesting quirks (talking about no kitchen for the caterer, the bars were vintage luggage carts, etc.) and they tackled every challenge that came up. I received constant communication throughout the planning process, had every question and concern answered, and flowed through the wedding day without a care! Because of the ESW team, I thoroughly enjoying my wedding without any stress. I cannot encourage any couple enough to hire this amazing family team!

We hired ESW for our wedding on January 14th and they were amazing!!! Highly responsive, kind, and offered so much great guidance for my fiancé and I as we planned our wedding. Talk about FULL SERVICE, Mark hits the mark on that! haha. From our initial in person meeting to after the wedding was over Mark was the most detailed oriented, organized wedding planner. I planned this wedding with him from the other side of the world, daunting right? Well it can be done and done well! He helped guide me through vendors local to Savannah, helped me deal with a few that were lack luster where he stepped in and made sure they got on board more efficiently. I love the vendors he provided for us to work with as well, it was perfect. He has an extremely welcoming personality, really listens to your vision and provides you with all the means necessary to make it happen. Between the emails, facetimes and texts, we couldn't be more happy with how our dream wedding turned out. It literally was the sweetest, elegantly rustic wedding we dreamed of. Simply the Best! Mark, Emily and his team were absolutely wonderful. We are British and wanted that vibe for the wedding, and Englishman Mark certainly delivered. Fascinator hats and glamor and a first class wedding! He is so knowledgeable and provided all the tools to guide us through budgeting and planning, the style and look of our wedding, and vendor selection. Full service is a necessity, as you quickly realize wedding planning is such a lot of work. The vendors he provided were excellent and very reasonable - and he had suggestions that saved us lots of money too. He is calm and collected, and uplifting, and creative and artistic. This company has so much knowledge about every aspect that we had not even thought of. Ok so you’re probably in the reviews to see whether or not you should book them. Well, you should! DO IT NOW!!!! They are amazing! My husband and I were both starting new jobs and had no idea where to start for our wedding. Mark, Meg and Emily were all amazing. From the countless meetings we had before hand, there stellar recommendations on vendor and overall attention to detail. We could have not done it without them and are so thankful for them. But seriously you need to book them.

Your wedding planner is such a huge part of your wedding! Like many couples we are from out-of-state and knew we could not coordinate a wedding alone. After my initial interview with Mark, I knew that this would be the team we would work with! Mark was such a dream to have in our corner! We signed on for the full service package and it was worth every penny! He always knew how to put things so eloquently into words for me! Their experience in the business and rapport with so many vendors around town made scheduling and ordering such a breeze! We loved their attention to detail! As an out-of-town couple from California, we knew from the day we picked Savannah as our wedding location that we'd need a planner. After interviewing a few candidates, we went with Mark's full service package. From the first phone call, Mark's calm demeanor put us at ease, as did his extensive background in the Savannah hospitality industry. Throughout the planning process, Mark and his team were quick and competent in addressing our numerous concerns. As a case in point, Hurricane Ian came bearing down on Savannah the week before our wedding date, and our rehearsal dinner/welcome reception vendor canceled on us less than 48 hours before the event! However, within just a few hours, Mark had contacted numerous replacement locations, brought us proposals, and secured us a contract for a new venue. Truly exceptional responsiveness. On the day of our wedding, Mark and his team handled every bit of the logistics. The two of us basically just had to show up and say "I do". It was the best day of our lives, and it couldn't have happened without their hard work, skill, and preparation. We can't thank them enough, nor can we recommend them highly enough to any and all who ask.

The team at Elegant Savannah Weddings are phenomenal! They were truly amazing. I was an out of town bride and they made my wedding day go on without any hiccups! The team is very professional. They coordinated with all my vendors and made sure that all our questions were answered to our liking. They made a very detailed itinerary for my wedding day which I really appreciated. I don’t even know where to start with this amazing company. They made everything seamless, easy and as least stressful as possible. Mark is the owner and let me tell you, this man knows how to plan a wedding, interact with vendors, and ease the couple’s nerves. When planning in Savannah most venues require you to have a planner, if you don’t go with Elegant Savannah Weddings you are making a huge mistake. Vendors love working with them and some even waived minimums because I worked with Elegant Savannah Weddings.

We initially wanted to try and tackle everything ourselves. After coming to our senses and speaking with Mark, I am so happy we chose them to be part of our big day. My now-husband and I wanted to get married in Savannah and as an out-of-town bride, I had no idea where to begin. At first, I was hesitant to get a wedding planner because I thought they were unaffordable, but I'm so glad we decided to choose Elegant Savannah Wedding's services. I started communicating with Mark back in March 2020, after he was the only one who replied to the many inquiries I sent to different wedding planners in the Savannah area (Mark and Meg are always available if you need them). Mark, Meg, and Emilie were hands down the best wedding planners we could have EVER picked!! We hired ESW for day of coordination which officially began a little over a month before our wedding. By the time we talked I had almost everything sorted but had a few things I couldn't decide/figure out on my own. Meg and Mark were amazing in pulling all those last few things together for us! Mark handled most of our behind the scenes stuff with so many emails back and forth! If I told him I was having a problem with a vendor, he would just take over communication with them which was a lifesaver for my sanity before our wedding! He even reviewed all of our contracts and discovered we had overpaid one vendor and helped assist us in getting a refund! We have a shared love for Excel spreadsheets which made our communication even easier! Meg and Emilie were onsite with us during the rehearsal and day of and we could not have done it without them! They totally understood my vision for the day from just a few inspiration pictures and brought together the most beautiful ceremony and reception I could have imagined. We got so many compliments from our family and friends on how great a job everything turned out and it's all because we had the help of this amazing team! Do yourself a favor and spend the extra money for these guys because they will bend over backward to make sure you have the best wedding possible!

I truly don't know where to begin with my review of Elegant Savannah Weddings. My daughter and her fiance wanted a small destination wedding. We honestly entertained numerous locations from Hawaii to Mexico, etc. When we thought about Savannah, George we decided to inquire with a wedding planner and contacted Mark, the owner of Elegant Savannah Weddings. Mark set up a conference call with my daughter, her fiance and myself. Mark is funny and engaging and completely professional. He told us what his staff and his role would be if we hired him and he wowed us with his knowledge and personality. We hired Mark on the spot. It was the best decision we have ever made! Mark is knowledgeable and is a true expert in what makes Savannah, Georgia weddings the perfect destination. Mark suggested an array of vendors for each of our line items i.e. photographers, videographers, venue's etc. Mark did not overwhelm us but suggested vendors based on my daughter and her fiance's wants and needs. His suggestions were perfect. The wedding was held on November 19, 2021, at The Davenport House Museum with reception to follow at 10 Downing Street at Churchills. Every detail was covered without any stress on us. He thought of everything. He lit every candle, straightened every chair and managed to smile and be available at every turn. Mark and his staff pulled off what can be called, "a PERFECT wedding." We can recommend Elegant Savannah Weddings with absolutely no reservations. From rehearsal, to the wedding day, to the farewell brunch, Elegant Savannah Weddings worked like a well oiled machine in the background making sure every detail and every wish anyone had was granted. We can say with absolute confidence that Mark and Meg Royston are the greatest wedding planners on the planet and in the solar system. I've joked (but am mostly serious) that Mark/Meg could plan a wedding on Mars and have every detail covered. The work they do is truly tour de force. We came to Elegant Savannah events with a wedding date 90 days away, nothing planned, and only a half baked vision of how we imagined our wedding. Like many individuals over the last two years, we had planned and cancelled two previous weddings given the pandemic. Our third attempt was when we met Mark and Meg and we could not have been happier to have hired them as our planners for their full service planning. Mark and Meg were more than planners, they were champions of our ideas and whole-heartedly supported our vision. In fact, they reinvigorated us as we were planning this wedding and helped get us even more excited. Not only do they support your vision they also propose amazing ideas and are very skilled at designing the details when you need extra guidance. Mark is so meticulously organized, wonderful to work with, and so knowledgeable about Savannah and is connected with the local vendors. In fact, we had a last minute videographer cancellation and with Mark's help we found an INCREDIBLE local videographer team within days. The week of the wedding we also needed to book a last minute transportation to get us to all of our photo locations and Mark was able to solidify a driver in no time! On the day of the wedding, Mark and Meg were elite. They had a plan, a back up plan, and a back up to the back up plan in case of anything going wrong. What's so important about that is that they were prepared for any scenario and therefore we were never worried, concerned or bothered by any hiccup or miscue on the day of our wedding (none of which occurred). Mark and Meg allowed us to enjoy our wedding day which is truly what matters! We cannot thank Mark and Meg enough for coordinating our dream wedding and we can honestly say that we came out with wonderful friends as well. For all those inquiring, hiring Elegant Savannah Events as your planners will easily be the best decision you can make for your wedding.

With the help of elegant Savannah weddings, I planned my wedding while my fiancé was deployed AND I had just moved to Savannah and was not familiar with the vendors in the area. Mark walked me through every step and gave me many options to research in terms of venues, florists, photographers, etc. I never once felt overwhelmed during the planning process because I knew nothing would be missed with the help of Mark. If I could give Mark and Meg 50/5 stars I would!!! We hired them back in 2019 pre-'rona and they were the glue that held the whole process together. My husband and I are generally organized people but having a Mark on board helped us be able to focus on the fun, meaningful parts of a wedding and less on back and forth emails and disagreements about dumb things like napkins. You can truly tell what people are made of when the unexpected hits. When the pandemic started and we made the decision to postpone the wedding, something unprecedented at that time, Mark helped to put us at ease and reached out proactively to contact our vendors to move the date in hopes to maintain our original wedding vision. With a 1 year engagement stretched to a 2 year engagement, some of our vendors changed and Mark was on it when we had questions about how to proceed, including texting within half an hour on a Sunday morning after I sent a panicked email after learning one of our vendors had changed management suddenly. For the day of, all of the vendors and bridal party had received a timeline of the events for the day and everything ran smoothly without a hitch. The coordinator that our venue provided had Covid the day of and was not able to be there and Mark and Meg stepped in at the last minute to fill that role as well. My husband and I were both relieved because by that point we trusted them far more to carry out our vision in a thoughtful way, even at the last minute. It is not an exaggeration to say it truly was the perfect day, even better than we could have imagined!! I cannot say enough glowing things about how professional, timely, and yet genuinely enjoyable these wedding planners are and we miss back and forth emailing them on a regular basis (PS If you're a bridezilla please keep looking for another wedding planner because you don't deserve these lovely people).

I cannot recommend Mark and Meg enough! I hired them for my wedding on July 10th at 10 Downing and they did an absolutely wonderful job. They made planning and execution of the big day as close to stress free as possible. Any questions or potential issues were met with positive and thoughtful solutions. In case you don't take the time to read this whole thing, the main point is this: I'm picky, I shopped, I chose Mark and his team, and they delivered WAY beyond my expectations. Book Mark and you will not regret it! WOW! I cannot say enough about Mark and his team. We originally met with Mark in January 2020 for our wedding that was planned for 6/27/20 before Covid hit. I could tell from the initial interview that Mark was going to be just what I needed. I wouldn't call myself a "groomzilla" but my personality is definitely one that craves control - and if I can't control it, then at least clear and thorough communication. Through the run-up to our original wedding, Mark was professional, responsive, and organized. He was super accommodating and helpful at every turn. He offered suggestions, recommended other vendors, and guided us through all the steps we didn't even know were there. He helped us navigate through the postponement of our wedding...everything from getting the other vendors to block out future wedding dates with NO cost overruns and NO HASSLE!, to helping us communicate with our guests to keep them informed and engaged throughout our delay. When we resumed preparations for our new wedding date of 7/17/21, Mark had everything queued up for us. All of the final preparations went smoothly despite a lot of last-minute changes on our end - we had more guest changes in the last 10 days than we had total guests I think ;) The day-of timeline was a life-saver. Mark mapped out every move for every party from the time we woke up (to breakfast that Mark had on the timeline) through to the final exit. Mark even packaged up everything for the vendors to take away and the stuff I needed to take home with me the next morning. Mark even offered to ship some decorations I thought were misplaced to my home so I wouldn't have to worry about it the morning after the wedding (luckily, the box was exactly where Mark said it was and nothing had to be shipped). From beginning to end of the process, Mark was thorough, friendly, attentive to our wants/needs, and the ultimate professional. Even though he effectively had to plan two weddings due to the Covid interference, Mark never mentioned changing his [entirely too cheap] rate...he only reassured us that our wedding was going to be beautiful and he helped us achieve that goal. Additionally, I think I need to fill out another survey solely based on how happy I am with Mark's suggested vendors along the way. Every one was great! Mark knows how to organize the perfect wedding AND who needs to be involved so it's beautiful, memorable, and almost as importantly, easy! Whether you're looking for a coordinator or not, if you're reading this review, I urge you to give Mark a call. You will not regret it. I'm thinking of getting married every year just so I can use Mark's services again!

We were able to have the stress-free wedding of our dreams because of Elegant Savannah Weddings. Mark and his team are sincerely passionate about their work and it shows! We first booked our reception with Churchill's and that is how I started communicating with Mark- through the reception details only. However, I realized I needed a Day Of planner and began searching. That's when I accidentally discovered that Mark was also a planner! I loved that he never tried to "sell" me on his business prior to my search. They were very flexible in our constantly changing plans due to COVID-19 and kept the communication lines open. They conducted the rehearsal and the day of wedding with the utmost professionalism and finesse. The absolute core of our wedding was Mark & Meg. We have been so comforted with them through every step of the planning process - since our original date in May 2020. Due to Covid, we ended up cutting our guest list in half and changing venues from a family friends waterfront home to my parents waterfront home. ALL of the logistics needed to be planned, considering the un-traditional wedding/reception location. Not only did Mark make our original date change and THEN location change AND guest list change a breeze, but would answer texts/calls at any hour when random questions or concerns that would come to mind. Upon every response, we were comforted knowing that they would go to battle to make our dreams, vision, and flow come to life. On the day of our backyard wedding, the ONLY DAY IN RECORD HISTORY to have almost 3 inches of rain (go figure) and after 2 ENTIRE HOME FURNITURE rearrangements (with the thought of not even being able to sit outside in the lightning storm), Mark and his team had not ONE issue moving all the furniture wherever he thought appropriate to accommodate the guest number, weather, and make our vision still come to life. We cannot recommend anyone more for any service we have ever booked. Look no further, call Mark and Meg and you will have the most amazing day of your life with ALL the weight and stress lifted though each step. They truly go ALL OUT for you as if it was their own daughter/son. The most sincere people with the most talent in the industry. True wedding extraordinaires.

The experience was so bad we decided to change the wedding location from Puerto Rico to Georgia which was when we found Mark and Meg). That inquiry lead to me meeting Mark, and the universe was seriously looking out for us because having Mark and Meg was the best decision we could have made for our wedding! We had a somewhat unique vision for our wedding, and Mark not only supported our vision, but went above and beyond to bring that vision to life. Every question or concern I had was met with answers and reassurance. I did not stress at all during my wedding planning, and that is thanks to Mark and his incredible professionalism, outstanding problem solving skills, and his kind and thoughtful personality. Elegant Savannah Weddings were absolutely the best planners we could have asked for. Our wedding happened during COVID19 and not only did their staff help us to make accommodations so our guests felt safe, but they thought about every detail. I think anticipation is something that’s very important in a planner and the entire team was able to think ahead and have a solution for every challenge before it even happened. Mark and Meg are the Best!! I can't say enough good things about Mark and Meg and the service they provide! We used Mark and Meg for "Day of Coordination" I was an Atlanta Bride getting married in Savannah - so I had traveled to Savannah a few times to decide many of the bigger vendors, but I wanted to not have to worry about any of the details on the day of. The service they provided went beyond "day of" - They began working with me from about a month out to coordinate and organize vendors and ensure that they could execute the vision that I had for my intimate ceremony and reception. When the weather on my big day was more than a little questionable for my planned outdoor ceremony and reception, they worked with vendors to ensure we were able to as close to our original vision as possible including working with the rental vendor and florist to delay set up for our outdoor ceremony until the last possible minute. Mark and Meg's professionalism, organization and warm and caring personalities help relieve any stress on my big day so that I could enjoy the moment with family and friends.

I don't even know where to start because there is so much good to say . At first my now husband and I were not going to hire a wedding planner but thought twice and decided to hire mark and oh man are we glad we did. He was exceptional. He eased every worry, answered every question and gave us his personal opinions that were perfect. He kept us excited and motivated during the whole process . covid-19 left us uncertain and at times unmotivated about the wedding and mark turned all our worry and doubts around leaving us excited for our big day. He has a way of really making you feel special and it showed right from the beginning up untill the day of. Mark and Meg are amazing ! I had to postpone my wedding that was originally in April to September. They took care of every detail, things I didn't even know I needed to do, or didn't even think about. They were extremely responsive, and took care of whatever needed to be done immediately. I owe them my sanity, and they also kept my hydrated the whole wedding since it was 100 degrees. Do yourself a favor and hire them as your planner for a flawless and worry free planning experience.

There simply aren't enough words to say about Meg and Mark that haven't already been said hundreds of times before. They are the best at what they do and their job comes so naturally to them. I primarily worked with Mark leading up to our wedding weekend as it was being held at 10 Downing where Mark is the events manager. He was always extremely prompt in his responses to my emails and texts and provided excellent advice and suggestions when requested. He was respectful of our wishes and went above and beyond to accommodate them. Meg did not enter the picture for us until the day before at our rehearsal but it felt like I'd known and worked with her just as long as I had with Mark. She helped direct the order of our ceremony and keep things moving smoothly. She even helped me ever so gently take my veil off before our first dance and was able to keep my hair mostly in tact! Whatever I needed, she was there to assist with a smile. I can honestly say Meg and Mark made our wedding day as enjoyable and stress free as humanly possible (especially on a day when it floods and plans change and everything feels like chaos). If you're on a budget and debating whether or not to spend the extra $$ for a day of coordinator, do it! Meg and Mark are worth every single penny and you will not regret it. I can't imagine not having had them be a part of our day and am so thankful to have found new friends in them through 10 Downing.

Mark and Meg were amazing when planning my daughter's wedding. The event actually ended up turning into a vow renewal after my daughter and her husband decided to elope early. My daughter had chosen one venue and one theme early on and Mark was working diligently with me to pull the "look and feel" together. Since my daughter is military she could only be involved mostly indirectly, with us emailing her or texting her for ideas and approval. Once they eloped the date of the vow renewal and the entire "look and feel" changed, along with a change in vendors we had been looking at hiring. Mark rolled with the changes and helped us regroup and start moving forward again. My mantra has been Mark and Meg are the calm in the storm of wedding planning and thank goodness they have been here every step of the way. There were other challenges our event has run into and each time Mark and Meg have calmed any anxiety or concerns and helped problem solve excellent solutions. They've gone well beyond what I would consider wedding planners might do for their clients. They always responded in a timely manner to any emails or even texts. They've always been there to meet with us and every meeting we've walked away feeling like we don't just have the best wedding planners on our side, but we now have great friends in Savannah. Planning a wedding/vow renewal is no small feat from 100's of miles away, not knowing which vendors to call and not having feet on the ground, so to speak. Mark and Meg have always had many great suggestions to help in the vendor search. They've already worked with every vendor we've chosen so they have great working relationships with each one. When I've called other vendors and mentioned that we are working with Meg and Mark they all said we are in good hands, and they have been spot on right. This week I reached out to several wedding planners in Savanah, based simply on online reviews. I live in NJ and am planning my wedding next year in Savannah. Knowing very little about Savannah and next to nothing about wedding planning, I didn’t know what to expect. To date I only have heard back from one email - and that’s Mark Royston - and that says a lot. I rarely leave any reviews for anything but my fiancée and I thought it necessary for Mark. I have an extremely busy schedule and emailed late at night this week, he emailed me before the next morning. He spoke to me in less than 24 hours. And that half an hour phone call yesterday is enough for me to leave a review today. I am so very disappointed that Mark will not be able to do my wedding due to the date we have chosen and him having a major personal commitment already set for that day. While he could have taken my business and let his team be there for our wedding, he refused explaining that if he and his wife couldn’t be there to attend to every detail, he didn’t want to take on the task. He explained that his goal was to make sure each and every wedding he takes on as a responsibility gets his full attention. And I believed him within a 30 minute phone call. It left me so disappointed that I will not be able to work with him that I felt it necessary to post a review letting any other future bride-to-be know that they should reach out to Mark at least once if they want wedding planning help. The promptness of his responses, the depth of his care for my particular experience and goals, and his follow up email to me despite not being my official planner is the kind of professionalism I think you rarely see these days. But the professionalism isn’t the only thing. Within the half hour conversation, I realized that Mark has an undeniable quality that is also more and more difficult to find these days. He clearly cared about the quality of his services and the quality of my wedding over the quantity for his business. He’s a professional, but he’s also a human being! I was in the middle of looking for a wedding planner- not even one week engaged- when I found Mark Royston. After one email exchange and a phone conversation, I knew I needed to hire him and his team. He offered me a test run of communication for a week but I knew he had the right vibe for me. We immediately began planning my wedding with a guest list of over 300. He had great ideas and many .contacts that came in handy. We communicated daily and he kept up the most positive attitude. A snag came very quickly when my fiancee, who is in the military, had to change our date. I let Mark know that we no longer knew our date and he continued to work for me even though, in the end he might be our planner. He gave me many helpful suggestions and reached out to several vendors for me. Then, when we got our date, he was already booked. I was heartbroken. I felt that without Mark our wedding would bring me more stress than I was ready for. He wished he could handle our wedding but he doesn't believe in splitting attention on someone's big day. He gave me 3 recommendations and offered to continue giving me advice. He is such a wonderful person. I wish I had the full pleasure of having him plan my wedding but just knowing that wedding planners like this exist make me more confident in the process. I would highly suggest hiring his team.
