As a case in point, Hurricane Ian came bearing down on Savannah the week before our wedding date, and our rehearsal dinner/welcome reception vendor canceled on us less than 48 hours before the event! However, within just a few hours, Mark had contacted numerous replacement locations, brought us proposals, and secured us a contract for a new venue. Truly exceptional responsiveness. On the day of our wedding, Mark and his team handled every bit of the logistics. The two of us basically just had to show up and say "I do". It was the best day of our lives, and it couldn't have happened without their hard work, skill, and preparation. Meg and Mark were amazing in pulling all those last few things together for us! Mark handled most of our behind the scenes stuff with so many emails back and forth! He even reviewed all of our contracts and discovered we had overpaid one vendor and helped assist us in getting a refund! Meg could plan a wedding on Mars and have every detail covered. The work they do is truly tour de force. We came to Elegant Savannah events with a wedding date 90 days away, nothing planned, and only a half baked vision of how we imagined our wedding. Like many individuals over the last two years, we had planned and cancelled two previous weddings given the pandemic. Our third attempt was when we met Mark and Meg and we could not have been happier to have hired them as our planners for their full service planning. Mark and Meg were more than planners, they were champions of our ideas and whole-heartedly supported our vision. In fact, they reinvigorated us as we were planning this wedding and helped get us even more excited. Not only do they support your vision they also propose amazing ideas and are very skilled at designing the details when you need extra guidance. Mark is so meticulously organized, wonderful to work with, and so knowledgeable about Savannah and is connected with the local vendors. In fact, we had a last minute videographer cancellation and with Mark's help we found an INCREDIBLE local videographer team within days. The week of the wedding we also needed to book a last minute transportation to get us to all of our photo locations and Mark was able to solidify a driver in no time! On the day of the wedding, Mark and Meg were elite. They had a plan, a back up plan, and a back up to the back up plan in case of anything going wrong. What's so important about that is that they were prepared for any scenario and therefore we were never worried, concerned or bothered by any hiccup or miscue on the day of our wedding (none of which occurred). Mark and Meg allowed us to enjoy our wedding day which is truly what matters! We cannot thank Mark and Meg enough for coordinating our dream wedding and we can honestly say that we came out with wonderful friends as well. When the pandemic started and we made the decision to postpone the wedding, something unprecedented at that time, Mark helped to put us at ease and reached out proactively to contact our vendors to move the date in hopes to maintain our original wedding vision. With a 1 year engagement stretched to a 2 year engagement, some of our vendors changed and Mark was on it when we had questions about how to proceed, including texting within half an hour on a Sunday morning after I sent a panicked email after learning one of our vendors had changed management suddenly. For the day of, all of the vendors and bridal party had received a timeline of the events for the day and everything ran smoothly without a hitch. The coordinator that our venue provided had Covid the day of and was not able to be there and Mark and Meg stepped in at the last minute to fill that role as well. My husband and I were both relieved because by that point we trusted them far more to carry out our vision in a thoughtful way, even at the last minute. It is not an exaggeration to say it truly was the perfect day, even better than we could have imagined!! ok Mark and you will not regret it! WOW! I cannot say enough about Mark and his team. We originally met with Mark in January 2020 for our wedding that was planned for 6/27/20 before Covid hit. I could tell from the initial interview that Mark was going to be just what I needed. I wouldn't call myself a "groomzilla" but my personality is definitely one that craves control - and if I can't control it, then at least clear and thorough communication. Through the run-up to our original wedding, Mark was professional, responsive, and organized. He was super accommodating and helpful at every turn. He offered suggestions, recommended other vendors, and guided us through all the steps we didn't even know were there. He helped us navigate through the postponement of our wedding...everything from getting the other vendors to block out future wedding dates with NO cost overruns and NO HASSLE!, to helping us communicate with our guests to keep them informed and engaged throughout our delay. When we resumed preparations for our new wedding date of 7/17/21, Mark had everything queued up for us. All of the final preparations went smoothly despite a lot of last-minute changes on our end - we had more guest changes in the last 10 days than we had total guests I think ;) The day-of timeline was a life-saver. Mark mapped out every move for every party from the time we woke up (to breakfast that Mark had on the timeline) through to the final exit. Mark even packaged up everything for the vendors to take away and the stuff I needed to take home with me the next morning. Mark even offered to ship some decorations I thought were misplaced to my home so I wouldn't have to worry about it the morning after the wedding (luckily, the box was exactly where Mark said it was and nothing had to be shipped). From beginning to end of the process, Mark was thorough, friendly, attentive to our wants/needs, and the ultimate professional. Even though he effectively had to plan two weddings due to the Covid interference, Mark never mentioned changing his [entirely too cheap] rate...he only reassured us that our wedding was going to be beautiful and he helped us achieve that goal. Additionally, I think I need to fill out another survey solely based on how happy I am with Mark's suggested vendors along the way. Every one was great! Mark knows how to organize the perfect wedding AND who needs to be involved so it's beautiful, memorable, and almost as importantly, easy! That's when I accidentally discovered that Mark was also a planner! I loved that he never tried to "sell" me on his business prior to my search. They were very flexible in our constantly changing plans due to COVID-19 and kept the communication lines open. They conducted the rehearsal and the day of wedding with the utmost professionalism and finesse. ALL of the logistics needed to be planned, considering the un-traditional wedding/reception location. Not only did Mark make our original date change and THEN location change AND guest list change a breeze, but would answer texts/calls at any hour when random questions or concerns that would come to mind. Upon every response, we were comforted knowing that they would go to battle to make our dreams, vision, and flow come to life. On the day of our backyard wedding, the ONLY DAY IN RECORD HISTORY to have almost 3 inches of rain (go figure) and after 2 ENTIRE HOME FURNITURE rearrangements (with the thought of not even being able to sit outside in the lightning storm), Mark and his team had not ONE issue moving all the furniture wherever he thought appropriate to accommodate the guest number, weather, and make our vision still come to life. We cannot recommend anyone more for any service we have ever booked.
