As a little girl I was inspired to become a wedding violinist after seeing a strolling violinist perform in my hometown of Raleigh, NC. My favorite musical memories include touring the U.K., Austria and the Czech Republic with youth and community orchestras in NC and VA. During the week I manage Elegant Violin and homeschool my kids.

The first associate who joined the EV team, Polly graduated with a degree in Music Performance where she led her university’s Philharmonic Orchestra as Concertmistress. She’s toured in Ireland, Hungary, Romania, and the Netherlands.

Originally from Beijing, Muning grew up in a musical family. She is completing her doctorate studies in music. In addition to violin, she is highly trained in viola, piano, and conducting. She loves performing at weddings and in ensembles.

Elegant Violin/Lindsay was an absolutely amazing partner to work with for our wedding! We had a violinist (Polly) for our ceremony & cocktail hour at Rolling Meadows Ranch, and she made our special day even more impactful with having her there to play live music. She played some of our favorite songs from Stars Wars, Lord of the Rings, and Zelda (Also Wildest Dreams for a nice Bridgerton nod too!). Elegant Violin was so worth the investment and the planning process was a breeze too. The music selection was super easy & fun (+ customizable if you want to add your own specific songs, just check with Lindsay! I feel like she did not say no to any song we asked about - and we ended up adding 3 songs of our own for $25 each). Polly, the violinist, executed all of our songs beautifully too and we felt like the violin music truly helped to make our outdoor ceremony feel like a fairytale. It added such a special touch, and we received so many compliments from our guests too - many saying it was the most beautiful wedding they've ever been too and that the live music helped with that! So thankful we found Elegant Violin (at Marmalade Lily's Summer Bridal Show in Lebanon FYI) and hired them for our wedding. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a special touch for their ceremony, this is it!! Also, we felt like it was super affordable and would hire them again in a heartbeat. Thanks again Elegant Violin (Lindsay & Polly specifically) for helping make our wedding day the most magical day of our lives!

The booking process with Lindsay and her team was so simple and easy! We started the process with a meet and great call. I loved the personal touch of asking my husband and I our love story. She genuinely seemed interested in hearing it too! Lindsay has several songs to choose from to create your set list and even has links to videos of her team performing the songs. This made the process super easy to narrow down for our ceremony. She also had a microphone available for us to rent, which was a lifesaver since our venue did not offer one. We received so many compliments on our ceremony entertainment. I only wish I could have heard the entire set list live. I would highly recommend Lindsay and her team for live music! It was the perfect touch to our ceremony and entertained the guest as they were arriving. Thank you Lindsay!

When we met her at our venue food tasting, after a conversation with her we knew we had to have her which is crazy because I would have never even thought of getting a violinist. She was able to play along side our first dance song with our DJ and it was so so beautiful ! When I look back on my wedding day now, I think about how hiring Elegant Violin to play during our wedding ceremony was one of the best wedding decisions we made. Working with Lindsay was an absolute breeze -- she genuinely cared so much about the tiny little details of our day and made sure that she would fit into our day in the best way possible. She asked a lot of questions that I appreciated so much because it not only made sure her performance would be seamless, but it helped me think through and finalize several tiny details I hadn't yet had a chance to wrap my brain around. From things like where she should stand to opportunities for timing delays and the significance of each person part of our processional and recessional, she took note and made sure to cater her performance accordingly. The live violin added the perfect amount of raw emotion meets classical elegance to our ceremony.

Lindsay at Elegant Violin did an excellent job at my daughters wedding. The music was absolutely beautiful and we had so many comments on what her music added to the ceremony.
