The pre-wedding trial was extremely useful and she and her assistant were great to work with the day of the wedding. They came to our venue right on time and were quickly ready to have me and my bridesmaids and mother in the chair for hair and makeup. Everybody was so happy with their wedding look! Lena also thoughtfully provided me with a useful touch-up kit. I highly recommend working with her!

oo much money to travel to the venue for these services, but since my venue location was in Loudoun County she did not charge a fee for travel. When I met Lena in person for my hair and makeup trial a few months before my wedding, I was instantly put at ease by her kind and warm demeanor. She used high quality products and really listened to me when I explained the look I wanted to achieve. (I definitely recommend saving pictures of hair and makeup you like) We found a perfect hair and makeup look at my trial and I couldn't wait to see her again for my wedding. On the wedding day, Lena arrived at the venue on time, set things up quickly and started working on my bridesmaids hair. She worked diligently to achieve fabulous hair up-dos for them and was often ahead of schedule. When Lena was done with my hair and makeup I felt beautiful, glamorous and most importantly, myself. My hair stayed the entire day and my makeup did not budge. I would highly recommend Lena at Elena's Hair and Makeup Studio for your wedding or other special event that needs hair or makeup services. Don't delay in contacting her, Lena does great work and books up quickly!

Lena was extremely professional yet also a fun and friendly presence throughout all of our interactions up through the wedding day. She was accommodating of each of my requests, including coming to our venue for day of styling and even adding on a makeup service for me with only about a week's notice. Lena brought an assistant Veronika to help her the day of so that we could finish all the hairstyles in a timely manner. I am extremely glad I chose Lena to do my hair/makeup for my wedding, and would highly recommend her.

We had a thorough trial a few months ahead of time to make sure i had the look I wanted, and she was just as thorough and talented on the day of! Her prices are the best in town, and she comes to wherever you are getting ready, which is super convenient. I would definitely recommend her for weddings, prom, and any other formal event you may need!

on. She was on time and even accommodated a last minute addition for a make-up service the day-of. All of my girls and my hair and make-up was done on time for pictures and ceremony. Definitely will go with her again for any photoshoots/events.

rk. In addition to my hair and makeup, she did my 6 bridesmaids and my mother and future mother in law’s makeup. They were all very pleased with their looks. Lena was prompt, organised, and she stayed on schedule leaving us time to relax before heading to our venue. Again - highly recommend - you won’t be disappointed with the quality of her work!

. This is a recollection of the events that transpired, without the immense anger and frustration I will always feel. The consultations and trial for the hair and makeup all went well, and Lena Kerner was a very nice charming individual. We signed a contract for the bride and other attendants and paid her the deposit that day, which she told us would count against the remaining balance of what was owed, which we then paid a week before the wedding, per her request. Flash forward to the wedding...The behavior Lena Kerner expressed throughout the duration of the day was very unprofessional. Firstly, she was late. Then when it was the brides turn to have her hair done, Lena Kerner delivered a drastically different hairstyle than what was discussed. During the duration of doing the brides hair, Lena Kerner announced that we had not paid and then demanded another $400 + to do everyone's hair and makeup. After completing the hairstlye, Lena Kerner then haphazardly placed the brides headpiece into the hairstyle, in which the headpiece did not fit, and due to placement, was instantly snarled into the brides hair. When the bride saw the hairstyle Lena Kerner had given her, she instantly burst out into tears, and was almost inconsolable. Lena Kerner did not offer to change or modify the hairstyle and instead insisted that it was "ok" and "fine."She was then very rude to the bride when she simply asked for the headpiece to be taken out. Lena Kerner did eventually offer to redo the hairstyle after the mother of the bride stepped in, but at this point, the bride had retired to the bathroom because she was so distraught. Upon the bride being in the bathroom, Lena Kerner said very rude things about the bride to both the brides mother in law and to the brides maid of honor (multiple times), at which point, she was asked to leave from the venue. The bride ended up taking the unacceptable hairstyle out, and had her maid of honor put the simple bun she had originally asked for in. Unfortunately, the hairstyle unraveled constantly, and was physically crunchy to the touch due to the immense amount of hairspray that Lena Kerner originally used in the brides hair. Lena Kerner then, after being paid, tried to solicit hundreds more from the bride for weeks after. If I could rate this woman 0 stars, I would. I felt ugly at my wedding. I am hoping this saves at least 1 bride from having the same thing happen to her on her wedding day. Everyone should feel beautiful and get exactly what they want, which is not what this woman provides. Please take my advice, coming from someone who will not even hang up a single photo from their wedding due to the shame I feel when looking at myself in those pictures, to find someone else. I wish someone had posted this review for me to read before my wedding.

ne of my bridesmaids decided not to get makeup. During my trial she was very receptive to my feedback, making sure I got exactly the look I wanted. She came to the hotel the day of and everyone's makeup stayed beautifully even through pictures in drizzling rain! I felt like she went above and beyond in her service- from offering touch ups before she left to providing makeup remover and a touch up kit in an adorable bag for me to take with me. I'd recommend Lena to any bride in the area!
