A preventable mistake ruined the ceremony for us ☹️
I was disappointed that the writers used the very thoughtfully written love story my husband wrote for our wedding website, that we had submitted as context, almost word for word. Many of ou...
r guests had read it so it was much to everyone’s surprise when it was not only poorly condensed but also spat back out WRONG.
We were so upset about the way our story came off. Namely, making it seem that we were interested in dating each other when we first met- but we’re in other relationships- which couldn’t be more inaccurate. I was in shock and disbelief as we stood there in front of everyone. I wanted to cry. And I did for the next few days.
I reached out to the company to let them know what happened and they were very apologetic. They asked what they could do to make it better. Unfortunately short of time travel (or paying for our entire wedding which obviously would never happen) nothing can be done to get those precious moments back. For us, It set the tone for the rest of the night. Weeks later it’s been extremely hard to let go of.

For future couples reading this, we normally do not write our scripts from the couples website. We have our own process of using a questionnaire that helps us with very specific details and I am finding out why this one was different so this does not happen again.

While we were saying our commitments to one another, we heard laughs from the crowd, and not a single dry eye. Jen is an amazing person. We have only received 7 of our photos back so far... wedding was on 6/13/23... and they are incredible!!! I was not too happy with my hair and makeup team so was worried how I would look but she did an amazing job of capturing the exact moments that it doesn't matter that my hair and makeup wasn't perfect! To received photos the next day.... LOVE it... gives me something to look at until the entire album is ready!
They all did amazing! We had storms predicted for our sunrise ceremony and they were so helpful and told me everything would be perfect no matter what!

From the initial greeting, to communication, to the delivery of our ceremony and mailing in our marriage license DeeDee made us feel like family and helped create our day to be so special.
She delivered our ceremony in the cold rain and did it with a smile. All of our family even got to have some great conversations with her before the ceremony and she left such a wonderful impression to everyone.

Throughout the wedding preparation, Bill was very responsive, thoughtful, and always willing to lend us advice on how we should approach certain pieces of our ceremony. Additionally, our experience with Elevate overall was also 5 stars from day one. The team at Elevate worked with us as we debated between doing a micro wedding or a large wedding. When we decided to do a larger wedding, Elevate was still able to work with us to officiate our big day and was very accommodating to every request we had. an officiant who wasn’t even doing our ceremony. There was no time spent making this a personal experience by the officiant or Elevate. It was generic and lacked any heart or creativity. I would have preferred the officiant just read our vows instead of trying to plug your company’s (this couple is elevated… we are elevated, blah blah) name during our special day and experience NUMEROUS TIMES. He was a nice enough guy, but he disappointed us immensely. Save your money, elevate one of your friends to an ordained minister online and have them marry you. This is a waste of your time. Our assistant and photographer were great btw.

One of the most complimented parts of our wedding was the ceremony. We toyed around with going for a cheaper officiant, but this was money well spent. The ceremony was personalized and very well done.
