Throughout the whole night we got many compliments on our hair and makeup! I could not have asked for a better group of ladies to work with for my wedding day. They were all very professional, polite, and made getting ready for my wedding feel like a spa experience. Melissa was so accommodating as well when we added in a few last minute ladies to get beautified. I would highly recommend Makeup by Mel for any occasion! Her skill and eye for makeup exceeded my expectations. Melissa and her team made me feel like a princess I envisioned myself to look like on my wedding day! I have sensitive, acne prone skin, which can cause problems when choosing products. Melissa was wonderful with explaining my makeup options and working with me to choose the best look and type of makeup for my skin. She even recommended a great routine to use leading up to my wedding day, to help prevent breakouts the day-of. The day of my wedding, Melissa was timely and quick, and finished ahead of schedule. My party wanted a mixture of air brush and traditional makeup and Melissa did a wonderful job on both options. She was also so friendly and put us all at ease (even my mom, who was nervous wearing makeup that day.) The look she created for me was consistent all 3 times she did my makeup and made me feel so beautiful and confident. I had so many compliments from my loved ones. Basically, Melissa is the whole package: talented, friendly, professional, and affordable. I would absolutely recommend her to anyone. Thank you Melissa!

I love makeup and it was important for me to still feel like myself, but have the polished look from a professional- and Melissa did not disappoint. the eyes after my trial for the day-of. She nailed it, I didn’t do airbrush as during a previous trial with another artist I felt it was too heavy on my face. I have great skin thanks to regular facials and the regular makeup was perfect for me. She even showed up for my early 8am start time with no issues. Melissa also did my hair which was a simple request of half pulled back with a barrette. My fiancé asked for hair that was similar to what I already wear as a full up-do was too different to him. Melissa made sure I was completely happy before she packed up. We finished with about 20 minutes to spare before I had to get dressed.
