Based in Iowa City, IA, Elinor Jane Photography helps couples capture their wedding day with an artistic, authentic style. From your engagement session to your grand reception exit, Elinor will make sure you and your partner feel comfortable and confident during each captured moment.
Owner Elinor has always had a passion for photography and began doing portraiture for her high school friends in 2012. She earned her BFA in Studio Art Photography in 2018 and has since been helping clients document their special events. With her passion and artistic drive, she will work to show off your authentic self in each image.
Elinor Jane Photography offers eight hours of coverage for weddings. Before your big day, Elinor will schedule a one-on-one consultation with you, where you can discuss your needs, wants, and overall expectations. Some of the many options Elinor can provide are same-day edits, film photography, and a second photographer.
Starting prices may not include all fees a vendor may charge.

I was born and raised in Iowa City, Iowa. I graduated from the University of Northern Iowa in 2018 with a BFA in Studio Art Photography. What I love most about my job are the connections I make and the beautiful stories I'm able to tell through photos. I've been capturing special moments for over 10 years. I'm very passionate about what I do and want nothing but to make my clients happy and comfortable in front of the camera.

Elinor was an absolute dream to work with!! Her work is absolutely beautiful and she is the kindest person!! We loved having her as a part of our day and would recommend her to anyone!!
She was polite and professional while also being super fun and making everyone comfortable even if they didn’t love being in front of the camera.
We got our photos back very quickly and they beautifully captured all of the love and silliness that we hoped they would!

Elinor was an absolute joy to work with. Her artistic vision is clear, and she knows how to get the shot. Candid photos were important to us, and we are so pleased at the moments she captured. It was wonderful to be able to trust her to get the detail shots, get the candid shots, and whatever else struck her in the moment. I have a few people who simply gasped when the saw our wedding photos--they are stunning. Elinor is lovely to be around, and will get you the photos you want, and the photos you never thought you needed. 100/10!!

We had Elinor do our engagement photos and our wedding she was incredible! Communication was easy and she responded quickly to any questions we had. She gave us great direction, and let us find our comfort zone in what could be an uncomfortable setting being photographed by a stranger. She got the photos to us quickly after each session as well and we were stunned each time that she had captured us as a couple so well! If we ever need photos for an event again we will definitely be reaching out to Elinor!

Elinor was great. We were going for simple in regards to photos and she was willing to work with us. She captured some amazing candids and got our photos back to us within a week of our wedding. We could not be happier with her work. I will definitely be recommending her to any friends getting married.

Elinor is AMAZING! I just can’t say enough positive things about her.
She is extremely professional, communicative, and of course— her photos are beautiful. She did an excellent job of capturing our vision and our relationship.
On our actual wedding day, having Elinor there was such a game changer. She was patient with our guests’ many demands and she was so on top of everything that she basically felt like our day-of wedding planner. Elinor truly went above and beyond for us and that was so fantastic.

I cannot recommend Elinor enough. Her fantastic eye, thoughtful composition, and thorough inventory of our day are second only to how wonderful she is to work with. She was so kind, flexible, and helpful. She captured some of the most intimate, special moments of our wedding - between guests, details, family, and my husband and I. The pictures came back fast and were amazing, her work will make sure that we remember how much joy and love went into our special day, not just how good she made us look.

We picked Elinor for our wedding photography because we really liked her natural style and how she highlights the beauty of nature. Elinor was amazing to work with from start to finish. She arrived on time and was great about moving between FOUR different locations to capture every part of our day. She respected all of our wishes, but most importantly had a vision in mind for shots we wouldn’t have thought of that turned out so beautifully - we still receive compliments on them months later! She edited the photos and got them back to us so fast that all my friends and family were surprised. All in all, she helped to make our day fantastic and for an extremely reasonable price. No regrets!
